TEARS FROM MY EYES

UB40
SONGWRITER: TEDDY DAVIS
COUNTRY: U. K.
ALBUM: LABOUR OF LOVE II
LABEL: VIRGIN RECORDS
GENRE: REGGAE
YEAR: 1989

UB40 are an English reggae and pop band, formed in December 1978 in Birmingham, England. The band has had more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart, and has also achieved considerable international success. They have been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album four times, and in 1984 were nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Group. UB40 have sold over 70 million records worldwide. The ethnic make-up of the band's original line-up was diverse, with musicians of English, Welsh, Irish, Jamaican, Scottish, and Yemeni parentage.
Their hit singles include their debut "Food for Thought" and two Billboard Hot 100 number ones with "Red Red Wine" and "Can't Help Falling in Love". Both of these also topped the UK Singles Chart, as did the band's version of "I Got You Babe", recorded with Chrissie Hynde. Their two most successful albums, Labour of Love(1983) and Promises and Lies(1993), reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. UB40 and the English ska band Madness hold the record for most weeks spent by a group in the UK singles chart during the 1980s, with 214 weeks each.
The band's line-up was stable for nearly 29 years, from March 1979 until January 2008, when frontman Ali Campbell left the band, followed shortly thereafter by keyboardist Mickey Virtue. Another member, Astro, remained with the band until November 2013, when he departed the original band to team up with Campbell and Virtue in a new version of UB40. In 2014, legal advice was sought by the original band (now consisting of remaining co-founding members drummer Jimmy Brown, guitarist Robin Campbell, bassist Earl Falconer, percussionist Norman Hassan, and saxophonist Brian Travers, along with new vocalist Duncan Campbell) who took action against the group containing Campbell, Virtue, and Astro over usage of the band name, due to it being used by both parties. On 5 July 2021, it was announced that Matt Doyle (formerly of the reggae band Kioko) would become the band's new vocalist, following Duncan Campbell's retirement due to ill health.
Labour of Love II is the ninth album and second covers album by UB40, released in 1989. The album contained two top-ten Billboard Hot 100 hits – "Here I Am (Come and Take Me)" peaked at Nº 7, "The Way You Do the Things You Do" peaked at Nº 6 – and "Kingston Town" reached Nº 4 on the UK Singles Chart.
Tears from my eyes keep on falling
cause you are leaving, leaving with another
Things that we've done together
I'll always remember though you're with another, baby.
Tears from my eyes keep on falling
cause you are leaving, leaving with another
Things that we've done together
I'll always remember though you're with another, baby.

I've done everything one man can do, girl
Said every word one man can say
The thing that we had has gone astray, girl
I'm missing you from day to day.

Tears from my eyes keep on falling
cause you are leaving, leaving with another
Things that we've done together
I'll always remember though you're with another, baby.

I've done everything one man can do, girl
Said every word one man can say
The thing that we had has gone astray, girl
I'm missing you from day to day.

Tears from my eyes keep on falling
cause you are leaving, leaving with another
Things that we've done together
I'll always remember though you're with another, baby.

Tears from my eyes keep on falling
cause you are leaving, leaving with another
Things that we've done together
I'll always remember though you're with another, baby.

Tears from my eyes keep on falling
cause you are leaving, leaving with another
Things that we've done together.

NICKY JAM
SONGWRITERS: JAIRO ANDRES FERNANDEZ OTALVARO & NICK RIVERA CAMINERO
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: NICKY JAM
GRAVADORA: CODISCOS
GÊNERO: REGGAETON
ANO: 2014

Nick Rivera Caminero(born March 17, 1981), known professionally as Nicky Jam, is an American singer and actor. He is best known for hits such as "X", "Travesuras", "En la Cama", "Te Busco", "El Perdón", "Hasta el Amanecer", and "El Amante"; the latter three are from his 2017 album Fénix. He has frequently collaborated with other Latin artists such as Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Ozuna, Plan B and Anuel AA. While his early music exemplified traditional fast-paced reggaeton, his newer compositions place more emphasis on sung vocals and romantic lyrics.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts to a Dominican mother and a Puerto Rican father, his family moved to Puerto Rico when he was ten years old. He began recording music at age fourteen with his first EP... Distinto a los demás(1995), and eventually caught the attention of Daddy Yankee. The two formed the group Los Cangris, which was active from the late 1990s to 2004. The pair split acrimoniously and Nicky Jam's career quickly took a sharp decline, followed by a period of legal struggles and substance abuse.
He then moved to Medellín, Colombia, where he rejuvenated his career and developed a more melodic style of music, which proved to be popular through the release of the singles "Voy a Beber" and "Travesuras" in 2014. His success was furthered by the 2015 single "El Perdón" and his 2017 album Fénix. He released the album Íntimo in 2019, which was a critical and commercial success. Nicky Jam has also acted in the films XXX: Return of Xander Cage(2017) and Bad Boys for Life(2020), and starred in and executive produced the Netflix biographical series Nicky Jam: El Ganador(2018).
Nicky Jam Hits or simply Hits is the compilation album by American singer Nicky Jam, released on September 9, 2014. This album contains six songs and two remixes which were recorded and released between 2011 and 2014.
Hola bebe
Ya que contigo no
Sirve la labia
Y te cree muy sabia
Pero vas a caer
Te lo digo mujer

Eh ah

Yo se acabo de conocerte
Y es muy rápido pa tenerte
Yo lo que quiero es complacerte eh

Tú tranquila déjate llevar

Dime si conmigo quiere hacer travesuras ah
Que se ha vuelto una locura
Y tú está' bien dura

Y no me puedo contener
Dime si conmigo quiere hacer travesuras ah
Que se ha vuelto una locura
Y tú está' bien dura
No me puedo contener

Mami que me estas haciendo
Yo no te estoy mintiendo
No hay un detalle que a mí
Se me escapa tu cuerpo
Y cuando te pones a hablar
Mi mente esta
Imaginándome el momento el lugar
Perdóname si te molesto
O si te sueno muy directo
Yo soy así
Yo siempre digo lo que siento

Pero presiento y
Eso va suceder
Que esta noche tú y yo
Vamo a llenarnos de placer

Lo que me pidas te lo voy a dar
Y si te pido no digas que no
Vamo olvidarnos del teléfono
A donde llego tú dímelo

Lo que yo te haga
No vas a olvidar
Como te dije
Déjate llevar
Una aventura
Te voy a dar
Eh ah

Dime si conmigo quiere hacer travesuras ah
Que se ha vuelto una locura

Y tú está' bien dura
Y no me puedo contener

Dime si conmigo quiere hacer travesuras ah
Que se ha vuelto una locura
Y tú está' bien dura
No me puedo contener

Hola bebe

LIVELY UP YOURSELF

BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS
SONGWRITER: BOB MARLEY
COUNTRY: JAMAICA
ALBUM: NATTY DREAD
LABEL: ISLAND RECORDS
GENRE: REGGAE
YEAR: 1974

Bob Marley and the Wailers(also known as The Wailing Wailers, Bob Marley & the Wailers, and The Wailers) were a Jamaican reggae band led by Bob Marley. It developed from the ska vocal group, The Teenagers, created by Peter Tosh, Marley, and Bunny Wailer in 1963. By late 1963 singers Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, and Cherry Smith had joined on. By the early 1970s, Marley and Bunny Wailer had learned to play some instruments, and brothers Aston "Family Man" Barrett(bass) and Carlton Barrett(drums), had joined the band. After Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh left the band in 1974, Marley began touring with new band members as Bob Marley and the Wailers. His new backing band included the Barrett brothers, Junior Marvin and Al Anderson on lead guitar, Tyrone Downie and Earl "Wya" Lindo on keyboards, and Alvin "Seeco" Patterson on percussion. The "I Threes", consisting of Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, and Marley's wife, Rita, provided backing vocals.
Natty Dread is the seventh album by Bob Marley and the Wailers, released in 1974. Previously Marley had recorded with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer as the Wailers, and this was his first record without them.
Natty Dread was most popularly received in the UK, where it peaked at Nº 43 and sold in excess of 100,000 copies, making it a gold album. Over time it gained popularity in other parts of the world, and in 2003 it was ranked Nº 181 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
Natty Dread is a spiritually charged political and social statement. It opens with a blues-influenced positive celebration of skanking, reggae and sex, "Lively Up Yourself". The original and still unreleased demo of the Island version of "Lively Up Yourself" was recorded in 1973.
"No Woman, No Cry", the second track, is probably the best known recording on the album. It is a nostalgic remembrance of growing up in the impoverished streets of Trenchtown, the ghetto of Kingston, Jamaica, and the happiness brought by the company of friends. The song has been performed by artists as diverse as Boney M.(sung by Liz Mitchell), The Fugees, Pearl Jam, Jimmy BuffettRancid and Gilberto Gil. Songwriting credit for "No Woman, No Cry" went to V. Ford. Vincent Ford, better known as "Tartar" to his friends and neighbors, had been a kind friend of Marley as a child in Trenchtown. Marley claimed he would have starved to death on several occasions as a child if not for the aid of Tartar. The original version of the song was in gospel style, featuring Peter Tosh and some unknown female backing vocals and was cut for Island in 1973.
You're gonna lively up yourself

You come so you come so oh yeah
You skank so you skank so be alive today

You're gonna lively up yourself and don't say no
You lively up yourself big daddy says so
You lively up yourself and don't be no drag
You lively up yourself cause reggae is another bag

What you got that I don't know
I'm a trying to wonder why you act so
(Hey, do you hear what the man seh)
Lively up your woman in the morning time you'all
Keep a lively up your woman when the evening come
And take her take ya

Ah

Me acuerdo aquella noche solos tú y yo

Me acuerdo aquella noche solos tú y yo

Yo-yo no te he dicho cuántas veces me he toca'o pensando en ti
Yo necesito pasar otra noche junto a ti

No aguanto, ven, mujer

Nicky Jam, Ducapi Music (recuerdo aquella noche solos tú y yo)

ALBUM: REGGAE GET SOUL
LABEL: ISLAND RECORDS
GENRE: REGGAE
YEAR: 1976

The Maytals, known from 1972 to 2020 as Toots and the Maytals, are a Jamaican musical group, one of the best known ska and rocksteady vocal groups. The Maytals were formed in the early 1960s and were key figures in popularizing reggae music.
Frontman Toots Hibbert, who died in 2020, was considered a reggae pioneer on par with Bob Marley. His soulful vocal style was compared to Otis Redding, and led him to be named by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 Greatest Singers. After Hibbert's death, the Maytals indicated that they would continue as a working group.
Their 1968 single "Do the Reggay" was the first song to use the word "reggae", coining the name of the genre and introducing it to a global audience. The Oxford English Dictionary credits Toots and the Maytals in the etymology of the word "Reggae". According to Island Records founder Chris Blackwell "The Maytals were unlike anything else ... sensational, raw and dynamic."
Reggae Got Soul is an album by the Jamaican reggae group Toots and the Maytals, released in July 1976 by Island Records.
