Nascida em Conceição de Macabu, distrito de Macaé (RJ), filha do reverendo Albertino Coutinho da Cunha, passou a infância nas cidades fluminenses de Niterói, São Gonçalo e São João de Meriti. Começou a cantar ainda adolescente no coro da Igreja Batista do bairro carioca do Estácio, onde seu pai era pastor. Na verdade, todos os seus irmãos cantavam durante os cultos religiosos, porém, sua voz era a mais apreciada. Já nessa época, trabalhava como inspetora na fábrica de lâmpadas da General Eletric, onde soltava sua potente voz para encanto dos operários e desespero dos chefes. O sonho de ser cantora de rádio impulsionou sua decisão de participar de programas de calouros, o que causou um transtorno familiar, pois o pai não admitia que sua filha desejasse a carreira artística, coisa malvista na época, principalmente numa família evangélica. O pseudônimo de Ângela Maria surgiu para que a família não descobrisse que ela continuava se apresentando em programas de calouros. Fã de Dalva de Oliveira, passou a imitá-la, ganhando todos os concursos de calouros em que se inscrevia.

         Acda en De Munnik(Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɑɡdaː ʔɛn də ˈmʏnɪk]) was a Dutch cabaret and musical duo, consisting of Thomas Acda and Paul de Munnik. Their songs are generally seen as simply and expertly arranged, so that the attention of the listener is drawn to the lyrics. The lyrics are mostly about love, youth and life. Acda en De Munnik's trademark is the harmonious vocals.
       David Middelhoff joined the band when they created their first album in 1997. Drummer Kasper van Kooten and keyboard player Diederik van Vleuten played on their first four albums. Since 2002 they have been replaced by guitarist and keyboardist JB Meijers and drummer Dave van Beek. Together with Van Dik Hout, Acda en de Munnik formed the band De Poema's.
          "Niet of nooit geweest" was the first song that made the band famous. It still remains one of the most popular songs in Dutch music history.

Stevie Wonder, nome real de Stevland Hardaway Morris (Saginaw, 13 de maio de 1950) é um compositor, cantor e ativista de causas humanitárias e sociais estadunidense.
Assinou contrato com a Tamla Records, selo da Motown Records aos onze anos e continua com a mesma até hoje. Gravou mais de trinta sucessos que alcançaram o top ten e ganhou vinte e cinco Grammy Awards, o maior número já ganho por um artista masculino. Ao nascer foi-lhe dado o nome Stevland Hardaway Judkins, depois alterado para Stevland Hardaway Morris já adulto.

O álbum duplo com um EP extra Songs in the Key of Life, foi lançado em Setembro de 1976. Cheio de diferentes estilos, ilimitado em ambição e às vezes liricamente complicado, o álbum foi de difícil assimilação para alguns ouvintes, ainda assim é considerado por muitos como o coroamento de Wonder e um dos álbuns mais conhecidos na história da música pop. O álbum se tornou o primeiro de um artista estadunidense a estrear direto no número 1 da parada Billboard, onde permaneceu por 14 semanas não consecutivas. Duas faixas foram número 1 na parada Pop/R&B "I Wish" e "Sir Duke". E "Isn't She Lovely" era sobre sua filha recém-nascida Aisha, enquanto canções como "Love's in Need of Love Today" (que anos mais tarde seria apresentada no America: A Tribute to Heroes, um tributo às vítimas dos ataques do 11 de setembro de 2001) e "Village Ghetto Land" refletiam um estado de espírito muito mais pensativo.             Marvin Gaye(born Marvin Pentz Gay Jr.; April 2, 1939 – April 1, 1984) was an American singer and songwriter. He helped to shape the sound of Motown in the 1960s, first as an in-house session player and later as a solo artist with a string of hits, earning him the nicknames "Prince of Motown" and "Prince of Soul".
           Gaye's Motown hits include "Ain't That Peculiar", "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)", and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine". Gaye also recorded duets with Mary Wells, Kim Weston, Tammi Terrell, and Diana Ross. During the 1970s, Gaye recorded the albums What's Going On and Let's Get It On and became one of the first artists in Motown to break away from the reins of a production company. His later recordings influenced several contemporary R&B subgenres, such as quiet storm and neo soul. He was a tax exile in Europe in the early 1980s; he released "Sexual Healing" in 1982, a hit which won him his first two Grammy Awards on the album Midnight Love. Gaye's last televised appearances were at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game, where he sang "The Star-Spangled Banner"; Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever; and Soul Train.
           On April 1, 1984, the eve of his 45th birthday, Gaye was shot dead by his father, Marvin Gay Sr., at their house in West Adams, Los Angeles, after an argument. Gay Sr. later pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter, and received a six-year suspended sentence and five years of probation.
           Many institutions have posthumously bestowed Gaye with awards and other honors including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and inductions into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
              What's Going On is the eleventh studio album by American soul singer, songwriter, and producer Marvin Gaye. It was released on May 21, 1971, by the Motown Records subsidiary label Tamla. Recorded between 1970 and 1971 in sessions at Hitsville U.S.A., Golden World, and United Sound Studios in Detroit, and at The Sound Factory in West Hollywood, California, it was Gaye's first album to credit him as a producer and to credit Motown's in-house studio band, the session musicians known as the Funk Brothers.
             What's Going On is a concept album with most of its songs segueing into the next and has been categorized as a song cycle. The narrative established by the songs is told from the point of view of a Vietnam veteran returning to his home country to witness hatred, suffering, and injustice. Gaye's introspective lyrics explore themes of drug abuse, poverty, and the Vietnam War. He has also been credited with promoting awareness of ecological issues before the public outcry over them had become prominent.
           The album was an immediate commercial and critical success, and came to be viewed by music historians as a classic of 1970s soul. In 2001, a deluxe edition of the album was released, featuring a recording of Gaye's May 1972 concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
           Broad-ranging surveys of critics, musicians, and the general public have shown that What's Going On is regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time and a landmark recording in popular music. In 2020, it was ranked number one on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
