THE BIG
LEBOWSKI
HENRY MANCINI
LUJON
sonora do filme “the big lebowski”, “sexy beast”, e no filme “two lovers”. O
“modern jazz quartet”
Mancini viria a
gravá-la numa versão de jazz/swing e incluiu-a no seu álbum de 1975, symphonic soul. A música alcançou o
38º lugar na lista de “adult Contemporary de 1976.
original
"Lujon" (also
known as "Slow Hot Wind") is a musical piece by Henry
Mancini It appeared on his 1961 album Mr. Lucky Goes Latin but
was an original piece of music that had nothing to do with the Mr. Lucky television program. It
was included in the soundtracks for the films The
Big Lebowski, Sexy Beast, and Two Lovers. Its name comes from the
percussion instrument played by Shelly
Manne which was named "lujon" as a pun on "John Lewis" of the Modern Jazz Quartet, who commissioned its
construction.
Mancini would later
record a jazz/swing version of "Slow Hot Wind" and include it on his
1975 album Symphonic Soul. The song would eventually reach the #38 spot on
the Adult Contemporary list in 1976.

Cartagena
Y tu vestido negro tiene poca tela
La borrachera está muy buena
Yo sigo aquí bailando como las palmeras
Esta noche quiero ser
tuyo
Esta noche he de ser tuyo
Esta noche voy a ser tuyo
Esta noche soy todo tuyo
Así, bésame en la
boca
Que la luz se fue y nadie nos ve
Bésame en la boca
Bésame en la boca
Bésame en la boca
Que la luz se fue
Bésame en la boca
Bésame en la boca
Bésame en la boca
Tenemos hasta que
amanezca
Para besarnos y bailar sobre la mesa
Tú con tu pierna entre mis piernas
Yo suavecito acariciando tus caderas
Esta noche quiero ser
tuyo
Esta noche he de ser tuyo
Bajo la sombra de la
luna
tuyo
"Meme" del Real do Cafe Tacvba.
- O
primeiro single antecipado do próximo álbum, ansiosamente aguardado do

Hey!
Matilda, Matilda, Matilda, she take me money and run Venezuela.
Once
again now!
Matilda,
Matilda, Matilda, she take me money and run Venezuela.
Five
hundred dollars, friends, I lost:
Woman
even sell me cat and horse!
Heya!
Matilda, she take me money and run Venezuela.
Everybody!
(Matilda,)
Sing out the chorus,
(Matilda,)
Sing a little louder,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.
Once
again now!
(Matilda,)
Going 'round the corner,
(Matilda,)
Sing out the chorus,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.
Well,
the money was to buy me house an' lan'
Then
she got a serious plan,
A-hey,
ah!
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.
Everybody!
(Matilda,
Matilda,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.) Once again now!
(Matilda,)
Going 'round the corner,
(Matilda,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.)
Well,
the money was just inside me bed,
Stuck
up in a pillow beneath my head.
Don't
you know,
Matilda,
she found me money and...
Everybody...
(Matilda,
Matilda,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.)
Once
again now!
(Matilda,)
Hooma locka chimba,
(Matilda,)
Bring me little water,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.
Women
over forty?
(Matilda,
Matilda,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.)
Everybody!
(Matilda,)
Goin' round the corner,
(Matilda,)
Bring me little water,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.
Well,
my friends, never to love again,
All
me money gone in vain!
Uh, heya...
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.
Everybody!
(Matilda,
Matilda,)
Oom, ba-locka-chimba!
(Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.)
Sing
a little softer!
(Matilda,
Matilda,
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.)
Everybody!
(Matilda,
Matilda,)
Sing out the chorus!
Matilda,
she take me money and run Venezuela.

Anthony Dominick Benedetto (born August 3,
1926), known professionally as Tony Bennett, is an American singer of traditional
pop standards, big band,
show tunes,
and jazz. He is
also a painter, having
created works under his birth name that are on permanent public display in
several institutions. He is the founder of the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens,
New York.
Born and raised in Astoria to an Italian-American family, Bennett began singing at an early age. He fought in the
final stages of World War II as a U.S.
Army infantryman in the European Theater. Afterward, he developed
his singing technique, signed with Columbia
Records and had his first number-one popular
song with "Because of You" in 1951. Several top hits such as "Rags to Riches" followed in early 1953. He
then refined his approach to encompass jazz
singing. He reached an artistic peak in the late
1950s with albums such as The
Beat of My Heart and Basie Swings, Bennett Sings. In
1962, Bennett recorded his signature
song, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco".
His career and personal life experienced an extended downturn during the height
of the rock music era.
Bennett staged a comeback in the late 1980s
and 1990s, putting out gold record albums again and expanding
his reach to the MTV generation while keeping his musical style intact. He remains a popular and
critically praised recording artist and concert performer to date. He
has won 19 Grammy Awards (including a Lifetime Achievement Award,
presented in 2001) and two Emmy Awards,
and was named an NEA Jazz Master and a Kennedy
Center Honoree. Bennett has sold over 50
million records worldwide.
Someday, when I'm
awfully low
When the world is cold
I will feel a glow, just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight
Oh, but your lovely
With your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft
There is nothing for me, but to love you
Just the way you look tonight
With each word your
tenderness grows
Tearing my fear apart
And that laugh
That wrinkles your nose
Touches my foolish heart
Lovely, never, never
change
Keep that breathless charm
Won't you please arrange it
Because I, I love you
Just the way you look tonight.
