de Henry Mancini. Apareceu no seu álbum “mr
Lucky goes latin” de 1961, mas é uma
composição musical que não tem nada a ver com o programa de televisão “mr Lucky”. Foi incluída na trilha
sonora do filme “the big lebowski”, “sexy beast”, e no filme “two lovers”. O
nome se originou da percussão instrumental produzida por shelly manne que foi
chamado de “lujon”, como se fosse um trocadilho, criado por John Lewis do grupo
“modern jazz quartet”
Mancini viria a
gravá-la numa versão de jazz/swing e incluiu-a no seu álbum de 1975, symphonic soul. A música alcançou o

"Lujon" (also
known as "Slow Hot Wind") is a musical piece by Henry
Mancini It appeared on his 1961 album Mr. Lucky Goes Latin but
was an original piece of music that had nothing to do with the Mr. Lucky television program. It
was included in the soundtracks for the films The
Big Lebowski, Sexy Beast, and Two Lovers. Its name comes from the
percussion instrument played by Shelly
Manne which was named "lujon" as a pun on "John Lewis" of the Modern Jazz Quartet, who commissioned its
construction.
Mancini would later
record a jazz/swing version of "Slow Hot Wind" and include it on his
1975 album Symphonic Soul. The song would eventually reach the #38 spot on
the Adult Contemporary list in 1976.
