4530) é o sexto álbum de estúdio do duo norte-americano Carpenters, lançado em
6 de junho de 1975, tendo sido visto pelos críticos como o álbum mais
sofisticado dos Carpenters até então. Neste disco foram utilizados desde
técnicas experimentais como a gravação em fitas correndo a 30 polegadas por
segundo. Cada um dos instrumentos foi gravado com seu próprio microfone, o que
proporcionou um som diferente, único. A bateria foi gravada em quatro faixas.
Na canção "Only Yesterday" um pequeno atraso na fita de gravação é
usado no saxofone, acentuando-o, destacando-o e dando-lhe uma dimensão extra.
