Rocco Granata (born 16 August 1938) is an Italian-Belgian singer, songwriter, and accordionist.
Granata was born in Figline Vegliaturo, Calabria, southern Italy; but his parents immigrated to Belgium when he was aged ten. Rocco's father was a coal miner, but Granata pursued music instead. He played accordion and toured Belgium with his band, 'The International Quintet'. He then released the songs "Manuela"/ "Marina" as a single in 1959; the B-side became an international hit, reaching #1 in Belgium and in Germany as well as charting across Europe and in the United States. It sold over one million copies in Germany alone, and was awarded a gold disc. It has been covered many times by artists such as Marino Marini, Ilham al-Madfai, Dalida and Louis Armstrong.
After the success of "Marina", Granata toured the world, including dates at Carnegie Hall. A feature film entitled Marina was released in 1960, which set the stage for a string of German hits. He also appeared in Italy at the Sanremo Festival in 1961.
Granata later became a successful record producer. He owned the record labels Cardinal Records and Granata Records, and has produced Marva, Louis Neefs, Miel Cools, and De Elegasten.

Mi sono innamorato di Marina
una ragazza mora ma carina
ma lei non vuol saperne del mio amor
cosa faro' per conquistar il suo cuor.
Un giorno la incontrai sola sola,
il cuore mi batteva mille all'ora.
Quando gli dissi chela volevo amare
mi diede un bacio e l'amor sboccio'...

Marina, Marina, Marina
Ti voglio al piu' presto sposar
Marina, Marina, Marina
Ti voglio al piu' presto sposar

O mia bella mora
no non mi lasciare
non mi devi rovinare
oh, no, no, no, no, no...

O mia bella mora
no non mi lasciare
non mi devi rovinare
oh, no, no, no, no, no...

Marina, Marina, Marina
Ti voglio al piu' presto sposar
Marina, Marina, Marina
Ti voglio al piu' presto sposar

O mia bella mora
no non mi lasciare
non mi devi rovinare
oh, no, no, no, no, no...

O mia bella mora
no non mi lasciare
non mi devi rovinare
oh, no, no, no, no, no...
oh, no, no, no, no, no...

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
SHIRLEY BASSEY
SONGWRITERS: Don Black & John Barry
COUNTRY: U.S.A.
MOVIE: 007 DIAMONDS ARE FOR EVER
ALBUM: SHIRLEY BASSEY
LABEL: COLUMBIA GRAPHOPHONE RECORD
GENRE: SOUNDTRACK(LIVE IN BERLIN)
YEAR: 1961

Diamonds Are Forever is the soundtrack by John Barry for the seventh James Bond film of the same name.
"Diamonds Are Forever", the title song with lyrics by Don Black, was the second Bond theme to be performed by Shirley Bassey, after "Goldfinger". The song was also recorded in Italian by Bassey as "Una Cascata di Diamanti (Vivo Di Diamanti)"; this version was only issued on 7-inch single in Italy, and was intended to be included in a (cancelled) 3-CD box set titled Shirley released in 2012.
Producer Harry Saltzman hated the song and it only made the film due to co-producer Albert Broccoli. One of Saltzman's major objections was to the innuendo in the lyrics. Bassey would later return for a third performance for 1979's Moonraker.

Diamonds are forever,
They are all I need to please me,
They can stimulate and tease me,
They won't leave in the night,
I've no fear that they might desert me.

Diamonds are forever,
Hold one up and then caress it,
Touch it, stroke it and undress it,
I can see ev'ry part,
Nothing hides in the heart to hurt me.

I don't need love,
For what good will love do me?
Diamonds never lie to me,
For when love's gone,
They'll lustre on.

Diamonds are forever,
Sparkling round my little finger.
Unlike men, the diamonds linger;
Men are mere mortals who
Are not worth going to your grave for.

I don't need love,
For what good will love do me?
Diamonds never lie to me,
For when love's gone,
They'll lustre on.

Diamonds are forever, forever, forever.
Diamonds are forever, forever, forever.

Forever and ever.

He was perhaps best known as the singer and co-composer of "Stand by Me"—a US Top 10 hit, both in 1961 and later in 1986 (when it was used as the theme to the film of the same name), a number one hit in the UK in 1987, and no. 25 on the RIAA's list of Songs of the Century—and as one of the principal lead singers of the R&B vocal group the Drifters notably singing the lead vocals of one of their biggest global hit singles (and only U.S. #1 hit) "Save the Last Dance for Me"

From January to March I'll tell the world
The icy winds make me cry
From April Fool’s Day to June I'll tell the world
My tears are rain, oh, what I lie!

I just can't tell the world
I can't tell them that I've lost you
'Cause I can't break the news to myself
No, no, no...

From July to September I'll tell the world
The burning sun has me down
From October through December I'll tell the world
We don't date 'cause I'm snow bound

I just can't, I can't tell the world
I can't tell them that I've lost you, oh no, I can't
'Cause I can't break the news
No, I can't break the news to myself, oh to myself
No, no, no...

No, I can't, I can't tell the world
Don't you know I can't tell them that I've lost you
'Cause I can't break the news
No, I can't break the news
No, I can't break the news to myself
WHEN TOMORROW COMES
EURYTHMICS
Songwriters: Annie Lennox, David A. Stewart & Pat Seymour
Country: u. k.
Álbum: revenge
Label: rca records
Genre: pop rock
Year: 1986

"When Tomorrow Comes" is a song recorded by British pop music duo Eurythmics. It was written by group members Annie Lennox, David A. Stewart and guest keyboardist Pat Seymour. With this single and its parent álbum Revenge, Lennox and Stewart continued with the rock and R&B sound from their previous album Be Yourself Tonight.
Released as the lead single from the new album, "When Tomorrow Comes" was a surprisingly modest hit in the UK, only reaching the Top 30. It proved to be a much bigger success in Australia and Scandinavia, where it reached the Top 10. "When Tomorrow Comes" was not released as a single in the United States.
Underneath your dreamlit eyes
Shades of sleep have driven you away.
The moon is pale outside
And you are far from here.
Breathing shifts your careless head
Untroubled by the chaos of our lives.
Another day - another night
Has taken you again my dear.
And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there
When you need someone to depend upon
When tomorrow comes...

Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea

Last night while you were
Lying in my arms
And I was wondering where you were
You know you looked just like a baby
Fast asleep in this dangerous world.
Every star was shining brightly
Just like a million years before.
And we were feeling very small
Underneath the universe.
And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there when you need
Someone to depend upon
When tomorrow comes

Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea

And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there when you need
Someone to depend upon
When tomorrow comes...

Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea
When tomorrow comes
