"I Just Want to Make Love to You" is a 1954 blues song written by Willie Dixon, first recorded by Muddy Waters, and released as "Just Make Love to Me" (Chess 1571). The song reached number four on Billboard magazine's R&B Best Sellers chart.
Backing Waters on vocals are Little Walter on harmonica, Jimmy Rogers on guitar, Otis Spann on piano, Willie Dixon on bass, and Fred Below on drums. Waters recorded the song again for the album Electric Mud (1968).
I don't want you to be no slave
I don't want you to work all day
I don't want you to be true
I just want to make love to you

I don't want you to wash my clothes
I don't want you to keep my home
I don't want your money too
I just want to make love to you

Well I can see by the way that you switch and walk
And I can tell by the way that you baby talk
And I know by the way that you treat your man
I wanna love you baby, it's a cryin' shame

I don't want you to bake my bread
I don't want you to make my bed
I don't want you cause I'm sad and blue
I just want to make love to you.

Blues on the Bayou is the thirty sixth studio album by B. B. King, released in 1998.
In the CD liner notes, B.B. King writes: "Of the many records Lucille and I have had the pleasure of recording over the years, this one is especially close to my heart. It's also one of the most relaxed and, for me, satisfying [...] No one was telling us what to do. No one needed to tell us what to do." He adds that he considers the band playing on this album as his best ever and that he got to the studio with the idea of keeping the music simple ("I've felt the urge to go back to basics."). With this state of mind, the record was cut in four days: "Found some old B. B. King songs. Wrote some new ones. [...] All live, all real. No overdubs, no high-tech tricks. Just basic blues."
The album won the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.
I've traveled for miles around
Seems like everybody wanna put me down
Because I'm a bluesman
But I'm a good man, understand

I went down to the bus station
Look upon the wall
My money is to light people
Couldn't go no where at all
I'm a bluesman
But I'm a good man, understand

The burden that I carry, oh is so heavy
It seems like ain't nobody in this great big world
That would wanna, wanna help old B.
Hey, but I'll, I would be all right people
Just give me a break, good things come
The those wait, and I've waited a long time
I'm a bluesman
But I'm a good man, understand.

Evenin'
Ev'ry night you come and you find me, oh Lord
And you always come and remind me, oh yes
That my gal is gone, my baby's gone, oh Lord, my
baby's gone
Evenin'
Can't you see I'm deeply in your power, oh Lord?
Every minute seems like an hour, oh Lord
Since my gal, she's gone, my baby's gone, my baby's
gone
Now shadow's fallin', well,
Are on the wall
That's the time I miss your kiss, most of all
Even though I try, how can I go on, oh yes, go on
Pretty baby
Evenin'
Let me sleep 'til the gray dawn is breakin', oh yes
I don't care if I don't awaken, oh Lord
Since my gal she's gone, my baby's gone, oh yes she's
gone
Evenin'
Let me sleep 'til gray dawn is breakin', oh Lord
I don't care if I don't awaken, oh yes, since my gal
she's gone
My baby's gone, my baby's gone

My baby's gone
BLUES BEFORE SUNRISE
JOHN LEE HOOKER

GENRE: BLUES
YEAR: 1984

I have the blues before sunrise,
tears standing in my eyes
I have the blues before sunrise,
tears standing in my eyes
It was a miserable feeling,
now babe, a feeling I do despise
I have to leave, leave you baby,
because you know you done me wrong
I have to leave you baby,
because you know you done me wrong
I'm gonna pack up
and leave you darling
and break up my happy home
I have to leave, leave you baby,
I'm gonna leave you all alone
I'm gonna leave you baby,
I'm gonna leave you all alone
I'm gonna pack up
and leav you darling,
because you know you done me wrong
Well now goodbye,
goodbye baby,
I'll see you on some rainy day
Well now goodbye baby,
I'll see you on some rainy day

You can go ahead now little darling,

'cause I want you to have your way
