You get the strangest kinda feelin', that's when the guitar plays the blues
I say, you get the strangest kinda feelin', that's when a guitar plays the blues
Your body gets the message, and you know, you know, your soul has just got to move

You might even bat your eye
You might even snap or cry
The feelin' you're feelin' within you babe
You know you just can't hide

You're kinda strokin' like that
You're kinda bendin' like this
And it reaches down inside you
And your soul just can't resist
You get the same kinda feelin'
When the guitar plays the blues
Your body sure gets the message
Yes, you know, you know, your soul has just got to move

And when the music is over
And it's time to turn out the lights
You know the blues goes home with ya
Soothes you through the night

You get the strange kinda feelin'
When the guitar plays the blues
Your body gets the message
And you know, you know, you know

Your soul has just got to move
THINGS ARE CHANGIN'

Blak and Blu is the major-label debut studio album by American musician Gary Clark, Jr., released on October 22, 2012. This marked the first time that an artist was nominated in both categories in the same year. It peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 album chart, and number one on the Blues Albums chart.

Ooh baby things are changing now
Things are changing now and i can't tell
Where i'll be from here on out
Ooh it's hell
Knowing that for now
We shouldn't kiss and tell
When it's so good

You walk up to me like a stranger girl
And i already know your name
I can make you feel good
If you want to give me the time of day
Won't you listen to me here and now
Cause i'll lay it down simple and plan
Ooh it'd be good to get together girl
But it'll be so hard to maintain
Cause it seems like now

[chorus]

I told you already girl
That i oh i was so gone
But that sweet sweet love
Yeah it had me hanging on
So strong and i
I know now girl
That i can stand alone
I was put here on this earth
By myself woah i gotta keep moving on

Cause it seems like now

I've been spinning out of time
Couple women by my side
I got sinning on my mind, sipping on red wine

I've been sitting here for ages
Ripping out the pages
How'd I get so faded, how'd I get so faded

No no don't leave me lonely now
If you loved me how'd you never learn

Color crimson in my eyes
One or two could free my mind
This is how it ends
I feel the chemicals burn in my bloodstream

Fading out again
I feel the chemicals burn in my bloodstream
So tell me when it kicks in

I've been looking for a love
Thought I'd find her in a bottle
God make me another one
I'll be feeling this tomorrow
Lord forgive me for the things I've done
I was never meant to hurt no one
I saw scars upon a broken hearted lover

No no don't leave me lonely now
If you loved me
How'd you never learn

Color crimson in my eyes
One or two could free my mind
This is how it ends
I feel the chemicals burn in my bloodstream

Fading out again
I feel the chemicals burn in my bloodstream
So tell me when it kicks in

So tell me when it kicks in
All the voices in my mind
Calling out across the line
All the voices in my mind
Calling out across the line

All the voices in my mind
Calling out across the line
All the voices in my mind
Calling out across the line

All the voices in my mind
Calling out across the line
All the voices in my mind
Calling out across the line

Tell me when it kicks in
I saw scars upon her
Tell me when it kicks in
Broken heart

Tell me when it kicks in
I saw scars upon her
Tell me when it kicks in
Broken heart

Tell me when it kicks in
I saw scars upon her
Tell me when it kicks in
Broken heart

Tell me when it kicks in
I saw scars upon her
Tell me when it kicks in
Broken heart

So Tell me when it kicks in
I saw scars upon her
Tell me when it kicks in
Broken heart

Tell me when it kicks in
I saw scars upon her
Tell me when it kicks in

Broken heart

Well, i'm leaving, i'm leaving, i'm leaving
I'm leaving you baby
I'm going away

Well, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, sorry right now
Oh, girl, and i feel so bad

Well, i'm leaving, i'm leaving
I'm leaving you baby
Oh, girl, then i'm going away

Well, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, sorry right now
Oh, girl, and i feel so bad

Well, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, sorry right now

Oh, girl, and i feel so bad
