Feeling used
But I'm still missing you
And I can't see the end of this
Just wanna feel your kiss
Against my lips

And now all this time is passing by
But I still can't seem to tell you why
It hurts me every time I see you
Realize how much I need you

I hate you I love you
I hate that I love you
Don't want to, but I can't
Put nobody else above you

I hate you I love you
I hate that I want you
You want her, you need her
And I'll never be her

I miss you when I can't sleep
Or right after coffee
Or right when I can't eat
I miss you in my front seat
Still got sand in my sweaters
From nights we don't remember
Do you miss me like I miss you?

Fucked around and got attached to you
Friends can break your heart too
And I'm always tired but never of you
If I pulled a you on you
You wouldn't like that shit
I put this real out, but

You wouldn't bet that shit
I type a text but then I
Never mind that shit
I got these feelings but
You never mind that shit

Oh oh, keep it on the low
You're still in love with me
But your friends don't know
If you wanted me
You would just say so
And if I were you, I would never let me go

I don't mean no harm
I just miss you on my arm
Wedding bells were just alarms
Caution tape around my heart

You ever wonder what we coulda been?
You said you wouldn't and you fucking did
Lie to me, lay with me, get your fucking fix
Now all my drinks and all
My feelings are all fucking mixed

Always missing people that I
Shouldn't be missing
Sometimes you gotta burn
Some bridges just create
Some distance

I know that I control my thoughts
And I should stop reminiscing
But I learned from my dad
That it's good to have feelings
When love and trust are gone
I guess this is moving on
Everyone I do right does me wrong
So every lonely night, I sing this song

I hate you I love you
I hate that I love you
Don't want to, but I can't
Put nobody else above you

I hate you I love you
I hate that I want you
You want her, you need her
And I'll never be her

All alone I watch you watch her
Like she's the only girl
You've ever seen
You don't care you never did
You don't give a damn about me

Yeah all alone I watch you watch her
She's the only thing you've ever seen
How is it you never notice
That you are slowly killing me

I hate you I love you
I hate that I love you
Don't want to, but I can't
Put nobody else above you

I hate you I love you
I hate that I want you
You want her, you need her

And I'll never be her

She's on a Friday Night Express
She got her nails done and a brand new dress
She got a secret in her eyes that even make-up can't disguise
And all that matters is right now

A melody is on her lips
She feels a tingle in her fingertips
Tonight the world's a friendly place and all her troubles melt away
And all that matters is right now

Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
So high

Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high

She falls relentlessly in love
She will never try to get me down
Just dictated by the crush, so addicted to the rush
All that matters is right now

Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
So high

Gone with the wind, not coming down 'til it's over
Ready to fly one more time

Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather (she flies like a feather)
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
So high

Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind's gonna take her high

So high

As I look into your eyes I see the sunrise
The light behind your face helps me realize
Will we sleep and sometimes love until the moon shines
Maybe the next time I'll be yours and maybe you'll be mine
I don't know if it's even in your mind at all
It could be me
At this moment in time
Is it in your mind at all
It should be me, it could be me
Forever
Wandering through life will love come home to you
And the love you want forever, will maybe true to you
Will we sleep and sometimes love until the moon shines
Maybe the next time I'll be yours and maybe you'll be mine
I don't know if it's even in your mind at all
It could be me
At this moment in time
Love's indescribable
It should be me, it could be me
Forever
Easy, ready, willing, over time
Where does it stop where do you dare me to draw the line
You've got the body now you want my soul

Don't even think about it say no go

Após o lançamento, It's Not Me, It's You recebeu críticas positivas dos críticos, elogiando a "língua afiada" de Allen e chamando o álbum de "maravilhoso". O álbum foi um sucesso comercial, estreando em número 1 nas paradas do Reino Unido, Austrália e Canadá. Allen também embarcou em sua segunda turnê, a It's Not Me, It's You World Tour, que visitou a Europa, América do Norte, Ásia, Oceania e América do Sul.

I wanna be rich and I want lots of money
I don't care about clever I don't care about funny
I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds
I heard people die while they are trying to find them

And I'll take my clothes off and it will be shameless
Cause everyone knows this is how you get famous
I'll look at The Sun and I'll look in The Mirror
I'm on the right track yeah I'm onto a winner

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
When do you think it will all become clear
Cause I'm being taken over by the fear

Life's about film stars and less about mothers
It's all about fast cars and cussing each other
But it doesn't matter cause I'm packing plastic
And that's what makes my life so fucking fantastic

And I am a weapon of massive consumption
And it's not my fault it's how I'm programmed to function
I'll look at The Sun and I'll look in The Mirror
I'm on the right track yeah we're onto a winner

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
When do you think it will all become clear
Cause I'm being taken over by the fear

Forget about guns and forget ammunition
Cause I'm killing them all on my own little mission
Now I'm not a saint but I'm not a sinner
Now everything's cool as long as I'm getting thinner

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
When do you think it will all become clear

Cause I'm being taken over by the fear
