"The River Kwai March" is a march composed by Malcolm Arnold in 1957. It was written as an orchestral counter-march to the "Colonel Bogey March", which is whistled by the soldiers entering the prisoner camp in the film The Bridge on the River Kwai and again near the end of the film when the bridge is formally dedicated. The Arnold march re-appears (without the "Colonel Bogey March") several times in the film and is repeated at the finale.
The two marches have been recorded together by Mitch Miller as "March from the River Kwai - Colonel Bogey". Due to this, the "Colonel Bogey March" is often mis-credited as "River Kwai March".
The Arnold march was published by Shapiro, Bernstein & Co. in a piano arrangement by Robert C. Haring. It also forms part of the orchestral concert suite made of the Arnold film score by Christopher Palmer published by Novello & Co.

"Whatever Lola Wants" is a popular song, sometimes rendered as "Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets". The music and words were written by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross for the 1955 musical play Damn Yankees. The song is sung by Lola, the Devil's assistant, a part originated by Gwen Verdon, who reprised the role in the film. The saying was inspired by Lola Montez, an Irish-born "Spanish dancer" and mistress of King Ludwig I of Bavaria, who later became a San Francisco Gold Rush vamp.

Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets
And little man, little Lola wants you
Make up your mind to have
(Make up your mind to have)
No regrets (no regrets)
Recline yourself
Resign yourself, you're through

I always get what I aim for
And your heart and soul
Is what I came for

Whatever Lola wants (Lola wants)
Lola gets (Lola gets)
Take off your coat
Don't you know you can't win
You're no exception to the rule
I'm irresistible you fool .. give in
(Give in, you'll never win)

Whatever Lola wants
Lola gets

[Instrumental Interlude]

I always get, what I aim for
And your heart and soul
Is what I came for

Whatever Lola wants (Lola wants)
Lola gets (Lola gets)
Take off your coat
Don't you know, you can't win

You're no exception to the rule
I'm irresistible you fool ... give in
(Give in, you'll never win)

Give in (give in, you'll never win)

Give in (give in, you'll never win)

Mickey & Sylvia was an American R&B duo, composed of Mickey Baker and Sylvia Vanderpool, who later became Sylvia Robinson. They were the first big seller for Groove Records.
Mickey was a music instructor and Sylvia one of his pupils. Baker was inspired to form the group by the success of Les Paul & Mary Ford. They had a Top 20 hit with "Love Is Strange" in 1956, which sold over one million copies and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA. The duo eventually bought their own nightclub, established a publishing company, and formed their own record label. Although Mickey & Sylvia disbanded by the end of the 1950s, they continued to record together on an infrequent basis until 1965, when Mickey quit the music industry in the United States. A second studio recording of "Love Is Strange" in 1962 featured now-legendary drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, who was 18, on his first paid session gig. "Love Is Strange" would be featured (in its 1956 version) in movies like Dirty Dancing, Badlands and Casino, and would be covered many times.

If you leave me,
What will I do?
Well I'd go to the river,
Jump right in,
Drown my tears,
'Cause I can't win,
Without you.
Baby, that's what I'd do.

If you leave me,
What will I do?
Well I'd climb the mountain's,
Highest peak,
Jump into a burning?
Without you.
Baby, that's what I'd do.

They say life's a bowl of cherries.
Hmmm, hmmm, good.
But what good are cherries,
Or any wild berries,
If love ain't what it should?

If you leave me,
What would I do?
Hang my head,
Down and cry.
End my life,
I'd die-die-die,
Without you.
Baby, that's what I'd do.

They say life's a bowl of cherries.
Hmmm, hmmm, good.
But what good are cherries,
Or any wild berries,
If love ain't what it should?

If you leave me,
What would I do?
Hang my head,
Down and cry.
End my life,
I'd die-die-die,
Without you.
Baby, that's what I'd do.

Yes, that's what I'd do.
If I didn't have you...

The most beautiful words in the world
Are the words when you whisper,
Ooo, "I love you"
The most wonderful sound in the world
Is your voice when you tell me,
"I really need you"

The greatest sight is the love in your eyes
The greatest music, the song in your sighs
The most power and thrill is when I kiss you
And the loneliest time is when I miss you

On the day you gave me your love
I heard the most beautiful words in the world

The most power and thrill is when I kiss you, yes it is
And the loneliest time is when I really miss you

On the day you gave me your love
That day I heard
The most beautiful words in the world.
