Nosso amor
Não deu certo
Gargalhadas e lágrimas
De perto
Fomos quase nada
Tipo de amor
Que não pode dar certo
Na luz da manhã
E desperdiçamos
Os blues do Djavan...

Demasiadas palavras
Fraco impulso de vida
Travada a mente na ideologia
E o corpo não agia
Como se o coração
Tivesse antes que optar
Entre o inseto e o inseticida...

Não me queixo
Eu não soube te amar
Mas não deixo
De querer conquistar
Uma coisa
Qualquer em você
O que será?
Como nunca se mostra
O outro lado da lua
Eu desejo viajar
Do outro lado da sua
Meu coração
Galinha de leão
Não quer mais
Amarrar frustação
O eclipse oculto
Na luz do verão...

Mas bem que nós
Fomos muito felizes
Só durante o prelúdio
Gargalhadas e lágrimas
Até irmos pro estúdio
Mas na hora da cama
Nada pintou direito
É minha cara falar
Não sou proveito
Sou pura fama....

Não me queixo
Eu não soube te amar
Mas não deixo
De querer conquistar
Uma coisa
Qualquer em você
O que será?
Nada tem que dar certo
Nosso amor é bonito
Só não disse ao que veio
Atrasado e aflito
E paramos no meio
Sem saber os desejos
Aonde é que iam dar
E aquele projeto
Ainda estará no ar...

Não quero que você
Fique fera comigo
Quero ser seu amor
Quero ser seu amigo
Quero que tudo saia
Como som de Tim Maia
Sem grilos de mim
Sem desespero
Sem tédio, sem fim...

Não me queixo
Eu não soube te amar
Mas não deixo
De querer conquistar
Uma coisa
Qualquer em você

O que será?

I was standing by the window in my boxer shorts
On a stormy night
Blind sided from out of nowhere
You said, “Goodbye.”
But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel
Time’s healing my heart
Some days this deep cut just stops bleeding
And there’s only a scar

I have a good day every now and then
I count my blessing on one hand
I start believing the sun will shine again
I have a good day every now and then

That guy you’re seeing is a pretty boy
With a hard-bodied physique
Armani suits, a black Mercedes
And he’s younger than me

I ain’t missed a day of work in two whole weeks now
I didn’t drink last night
I looked at your picture and shed just one tear
Before I turned out the light

I have a good day every now and then
I count my blessing on one hand
I start believing the sun will shine again
I have a good day every now and then

I have a good day every now and then
I count my blessing on one hand
I start believing the sun will shine again

I have a good day every now and then.

Major Merriweather(March 31, 1905 – February 23, 1953), better known as Big Maceo Merriweather, was an American pianist and singer. He was mainly active in Chicago through the 1940s.
Born in Newnan, Georgia, he was a self-taught pianist. In the 1920s, he moved to Detroit, Michigan, to begin his music career. He moved to Chicago in 1941, where he made the acquaintance of Tampa Red. Red introduced him to Lester Melrose of RCA Victor and its subsidiary label Bluebird Records, who signed Merriweather to a recording contract.
His first record was "Worried Life Blues" (1941), which became a blues hit and remained his signature piece. The song had elements derived from Sleepy John Estes' "Someday, Baby". Other classic piano blues recordings followed, such as "Chicago Breakdown", "Texas Stomp", and "Detroit Jump". His piano style was developed from players like Leroy Carr and Roosevelt Sykes and from the boogie-woogie style of Meade Lux Lewis and Albert Ammons. He in turn influenced other musicians, such as Little Johnny Jones and Henry Gray, the latter of whom credited Merriweather with helping him launch his career as a blues pianist.
His style influenced practically every postwar blues pianist of note. His most famous song, "Worried Life Blues", is a staple of the blues repertoire, with artists such as Eric Clapton performing it regularly in concert. It was in the first batch of songs inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in the category Classic Blues Recordings – Singles or Album Tracks, alongside "Stormy Monday", 'Sweet Home Chicago", "Dust My Broom", and "Hellhound on My Trail".
Merriweather suffered a stroke in 1946. He died of a heart attack on February 23, 1953, in Chicago and was interred at the Detroit Memorial Cemetery, in Warren, Michigan.
His recordings for RCA Victor/Bluebird were released as a double album, Chicago Breakdown, in 1975. They have since been reissued on various labels.
In 2002, he was posthumously inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
On May 3, 2008, the White Lake Blues Festival took place at the Howmet Playhouse Theater, in Whitehall, Michigan. The event was organized by executive producer Steve Salter, of the nonprofit organization Killer Blues, to raise monies to honor Merriweather's unmarked grave with a headstone. The concert was a success, and a headstone was placed in June 2008.
I lost a good woman
An I grieve both night and day
I lost a good woman
An I grieve both night and day
I catch the blues for my baby
Ever since she's been gone away

I'm so unhappy
Mama, when I used to be so gay
I'm so unhappy
Baby, when I used to be so gay

I catch the blues for my baby
Ever since she been gone away

I watches the sun
When it rises
Until it fades away
I watch the sun when it rise
Until it fades away
I catch the blues for my baby
Ever since she's been gone away

'Yeah, boy'

Catch it long as I live
You will always hear me sing
Just as long as I live
Mama, you will always hear me sing
I catch the blues for my baby
Ever since she's been gone away.

...And Then There Were Three... is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Genesis. It was released in March 1978 by Charisma Records and is their first recorded as a trio of singer and drummer Phil Collins, keyboardist Tony Banks, and bassist and guitarist Mike Rutherford following the departure of guitarist Steve Hackett. The album marked a change in the band's sound, mixing elements of their progressive rock roots with more pop-oriented and commercially accessible music, and Collins contributing to more of the group's song writing.
The album reached number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and number 14 on the US Billboard 200. Three singles were released from the album; the lead single "Follow You Follow Me" became their highest charting
since their formation with a peak of number 7 in the UK and number 23 in the US. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1988 for selling one million copies in the US. To further promote it, Genesis toured worldwide for ten months with their new touring guitarist Daryl Stuermer. The album was remastered in 2007 as part of the Genesis 1976 - 1982 box set.

Stay with me,
My love I hope you'll always be
Right here by my side if ever I need you
Oh my love

In your arms,
I feel so safe and so secure
Every day is such a perfect day to spend
Alone with you

I will follow you will you follow me
All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year

With the dark,
Oh I see so very clearly now
All my fears are drifting by me so slowly now

Fading away

I can say
The night is long but you are here
Close at hand, oh I'm better for the smile you give
And while I live
I will follow you will you follow me
All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year there will be

I will follow you will you follow me
All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year...
