Step out into the Indian dust
I can feel the cracks in my spirit
They're starting to bust

Drive by your house, nobody's home
I'm trying to tell myself that I'm better off alone

All my friends say I should move on
She's just another girl
Don't let her stick it to your heart so hard
And all my friends say it wasn't meant to be
And it's a great big world
She's just another girl
Another girl

I went to see a fortuneteller, that was a trip
Maybe this confusion's got me losing my grip
I can't believe you're out there flying with somebody else

Now Jason’s getting married in the blink of an eye
I got an invitation but I didn't reply
Tell your little brother that we put down the gloves
And give him all of my love

All of my friends say I should move on
She's just another girl
Don't let her stick it to your heart so hard
And all of my friends say it wasn't meant to be
And it's a great big world
And she's just another girl

I could be reeling them in, left and right
Something's got a hold on me, tonight
Well maybe all of my friends should confront
The fact that I don't want another girl

All of my friends say I should move on
All of my friends say
All of my friends say
All of my friends say
She's just another girl

Now why can't I sleep at night
And why don't the moon look right
It sailed off but the TV’s on
And it's a great big world

She's just another girl
Don't let her stick it to your heart so hard
She's just another girl
All my friends say
She's just another girl
Another girl.
MORE THAN A LOVER

BONNIE TYLER
SONGWRITERS: RONNIE SCOTT & STEVE WOLFE
COUNTRY: WELSH
ALBUM: THE WORLD STARTS TONIGHT
LABEL: RCA RECORDS
GENRE: ROCK AND ROLL
YEAR: 1977

The World Starts Tonight is the debut studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler, released in February 1977 by RCA Records. Most of the songs were written by Ronnie Scott and Steve Wolfe, who worked as her managers while she was signed to RCA. They also produced the album alongside David Mackay. Musically, the album features country and pop songs.
Two singles were released from the album. The first, "Lost in France", was certified silver by the BPI for sales of over 250,000 copies. "More Than a Lover" was also a hit, but failed to make progress in the UK Singles Chart after the BBC banned the song for its controversial lyrical content. Shortly after recording the album, Tyler had surgery to remove nodules from her vocal folds. The operation left Tyler with a permanently raspy voice.
The World Starts Tonight was received positively by contemporary critics, who praised Tyler for releasing a "promising debut". The album was hugely popular in Sweden, where it reached number two. Despite this, it failed to chart in any other country.
Blown in the breeze
Falling like leaves
Give me a chance to recover
Deep in your eyes
Half of me lie
Let me be more than a lover
Let me be more than a lover

Oh, let it be known
You're my heart, you’re my home
You're the world that I wanna discover
All I can give is the way that I live
And I wanna be more than a lover
Oh, let me be more than a lover

Lovers are like
Stars in the night
Never quite touching each other
Deep in your eyes
Half of me lie
Let me be more than a lover
Let me be more than a lover

Oh, let it be known
You're my heart, you’re my home
You're the world that I wanna discover
All I can give is the way that I live
And I wanna be more than a lover
Oh, let me be more than a lover

Ad Libs...

Oh, let it be known
You're my heart, you’re my home
You're the world that I wanna discover
All I can give is the way that I live
And I wanna be more than a lover
Oh, let me be more than a lover

Ad Libs...
Let me be more than a lover.

I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one, I don't wanna admit to something
If all it's gonna cause is pain
Truth in my lies right now, are falling like the rain
So let the river run

He's coming home with his neck scratched
To catch flack
Sweat jackets and dress slacks, mismatch
On his breast jacket's a sex addict
And she just wants to exact revenge and get back
It's a chess match, she's on his back
Like a jet pack
She's kept track of all his internet chats
And guess who just happens to be moving on to the next?
Actually, just shit on my last chick
And she has what my ex lacks
'Cause she loves danger, psychopath
And you don't fuck with no man's girl, even I know that
But she's devised some plan to stab him in the back
Knife-in-hand scissor relationships hanging by a strand
So she's been on the web lately
Says maybe she'll be my Gwen Stacy, to spite her man
And I know she's using me to try to play him
I don't care, hi Susan, but I shoulda said "Bye Susan"
After the first night, but tonight I am

I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one, I don't wanna admit to something
If all it's gonna cause is pain
Truth in my lies right now, are falling like the rain
So let the river run

One-night stand
Turned in two-night stand
He was calling so might scram
Now we hug tight, and
He found out, now she feels deserted and used
'Cause he left, so what? He did it first to her tôo
Now how am I supposed to tell this girl that we're through?
It's hard to find the words, I'm aloof, nervous, ensued
And witnessed you hurt
But what you deserve is the truth
Don't take it personal, I just can't say this in person to you
So I revert to the studio like Hole in the Wall diners
Don't have to be reserved in a booth
I just feel like the person who I'm turning into's
Irreversible, I preyed on you
Like it's church at the pew
And now that I got you I don't want you
Took advantage of my thirst to pursue
Why do I do this dirt that I do?
Get on my soapbox and preach, my sermon, and speech
Detergent and bleach is burning the wound
'Cause now with her in the womb
We can't bring her in this world, shoulda knew
To use protection 'fore I bit into your forbidden fruit... fuck!

I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one, I don't wanna admit to something
If all it's gonna cause is pain
Truth in my lies right now, are falling like the rain
So let the river run

My name's (ooh), my name's (ooh)
Denver (ooh), watch the river run
Call me (ooh), call me (ooh)
River (ooh), we'll let the river run

Always the bridesmaid, never "The bride, hey! "
Fuck can I say? If life was a highway
The seat was an enclave, I'd be swerving in five lanes
Speeds at a high rate, like I'm sliding on ice, maybe
That's why I made they came at you sideways
I can't keep my lies straight
Well, I made you terminate, my baby
This love triangle, left us in a wreck-tangled
What else can I say? It was fun for a while
Bet I really woulda loved your smile
Didn't really wanna abort, but fuck it
What's one more lie
To tell a unborn child?

I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one (I'm sorry), I don't wanna admit to something
(I fucked up) If all it's gonna cause is pain
The truth in my lies now, are falling like the rain
So let the river run.

Hoy he cerrado mi ventana
Y he pensado en ti,
Quería recordarte esta mañana.
Te vi sentada en un sillón,
Tomando tu café,
Los niños correteando por la casa.

Me pregunte:
¿Será feliz,
En donde vivirá,
Será una mujer enamorada?

Me respondí que no,
Porque el amor
Es sólo flor de un día.
Me respondí que no,
Porque lo nuestro
No lo olvidarías.
Me respondí que no,
Porque no es fácil
Olvidarlo todo.
El ruido de la lluvia
Me aparto de ti,
Y me he quedado solo.
El ruido de la lluvia
Me aparto de ti,
Y me he quedado solo.

No se por qué,
Cuando estoy solo
Te recuerdo aún
Será que el vino
Excita la memoria.
Como bien sabes me casé,
Ahora soy feliz,
Los niños correteando por mi casa.
Pero ya ves,
No se por qué
Hoy me acordé de ti
Y quise imaginarte enamorada.

Me respondí que no,
Porque lo nuestro
No lo olvidarías.
Me respondí que no,
Porque no es fácil
Olvidarlo todo.
El ruido de la lluvia
Me aparto de ti,
Y me he quedado solo.
El ruido de la lluvia
Me aparto de ti,
Y me he quedado solo.
