{Refrain :}

{Refrain}

2- Mais un beau jour les demoiselles,
Frimousse rose et voile blanc,
Se font conduire à la chapelle
Par leur galant.

Ah quel bonheur pour chacun !
Le cerisier tout fleuri
Et le pommier n'en font qu'un
Nous sommes femme et mari.

De voir les fruits de l'été
Naître des fleurs du printemps
L'amour nous a chuchoté
D'en faire autant.

Si cette histoire est éternelle
Pour en savoir le dénouement
Apprenez-en la ritournelle
Tout simplement

Et dans deux ans deux bébés roses
Faisant la ronde gentiment
Vous chanteront cerisiers roses
Et pommiers blancs.

Bobbe Gorin "Beegie" Adair, née Long (born December 11, 1937, Barren County, Kentucky, United States) is an American jazz pianist. She studied piano at Western Kentucky University. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she did graduate work at Peabody College. She later went on to form the Beegie Adair Trio.
Adair has recorded and appeared in over 90 recordings (37 of which are recorded with her trio, the Beegie Adair Trio, which consists of bassist Roger Spencer and percussionist Chris Brown), ranging from Cole Porter standards to Frank Sinatra classics to romantic World War II ballads. She has released a six-CD Centennial Composers Collection of tunes by Rodgers, Gershwin, Kern, Ellington, Carmichael and Berlin. Adair cites George Shearing, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson and Erroll Garner among her influences.
She lives in Franklin, Tennessee. Her late husband, Billy, was an associate professor of jazz studies at the Blair School in Vanderbilt University until his death in February 2014. She is a Board & Faculty member of the Nashville Jazz Workshop and performs regularly in Nashville.
"Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" or "Cerezo Rosa" or "Ciliegi Rosa" or "Gummy Mambo", is the English version of "Cerisiers Roses et Pommiers Blancs", a popular song with music by Louiguy written in 1950. French lyrics to the song by Jacques Larue and English lyrics by Mack David both exist, and recordings of both have been quite popular. However, Perez Prado's recording of the song as an instrumental with his orchestra featuring trumpeter Billy Regis, whose trumpet sound would slide down and up before the melody would resume, was the most popular version in 1955, reaching number one for 10 weeks on the Billboard chart. It became a gold record. Perez had first recorded this title for the movie Underwater!(1955), where Jane Russell can be seen dancing to the song. Billboard ranked this version as the No. 1 song of 1955. The most popular vocal version in the U.S. was by Alan Dale, reaching No. 14 on the chart in 1955.
In the United Kingdom, two versions of the song went to number one in 1955. The first was the version by Perez Prado, which reached number one for two weeks. Less than a month later, a version by the British trumpeter Eddie Calvert reached number one for four weeks.

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF ME

ALBUM: THE PAPAS & THE MAMAS
LABEL: DUNHILL
GENRE: POP
YEAR: 1968

Dream a Little Dream of Me was recorded in 1931 and became a classic of depression-era America.
The Mamas & Papas chose to record the with “Mama” Cass Elliot on lead vocals, and it became her signature song, and she performed it with The Mamas & The Papas and as a solo artist until her death in 1974.
"Dream a Little Dream of Me" is a 1931 song with music by Fabian Andre and Wilbur Schwandt and lyrics by Gus Kahn. It was first recorded in February 1931 by Ozzie Nelson and also by Wayne King and His Orchestra, with vocal by Ernie Birchill. A popular standard, it has seen more than 60 other versions recorded, with one of the highest chart ratings by the Mamas & the Papas in 1968 with Cass Elliot on lead vocals.
The Papas & The Mamas is a 1968 album by The Mamas & the Papas. It was their fourth and final album together before the group temporarily broke up before a brief 1971 reunion.
Unlike previous studio-recorded albums, The Papas & The Mamas was recorded at the home of John and Michelle Phillips, although with the same production team as on previous albums. Their original studio, Western Recorders, switched to Solid State technology, and Phillips and Adler purchased the analog board they had done their previous recordings with, and installed it in their new studio. In retrospect, Adler has said that the recording space was not well made, and the sound quality was not well-suited for a vocal group like The Mamas & The Papas.
With the exception of the very successful cover version of "Dream a Little Dream of Me" (which is not representative of the rest of the album), the album's subject matter is often downbeat and world-weary, most notably in the lyrical content of "Safe in My Garden", "Mansions", "Too Late" and "Rooms".
Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you"
Birds singing in a sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries far behind you
And in your dreams
Whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me.
