and Hugo Winterhalter reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 7 on
the R&B chart in 1956. A version sung by Andy Williams was also popular
that year, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard chart. The Sounds Orchestral,
conducted by Johnny Pearson, hit the Easy Listening chart reaching No. 14 and
the Billboard Hot 100 in 1965 reaching No. 76.
Howard Andrew Williams (December 3, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was an
American singer. He recorded 43 albums in his career, of which 15 have been
gold-certified and three platinum-certified. He was also nominated for six Grammy
Awards. He hosted The Andy Williams Show, a television variety show, from 1962
to 1971, and numerous TV specials. The Andy Williams Showwon three Emmy awards.
The Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri is named after the song for which
he is best known—Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini's "Moon River". He
sold more than 100 million records worldwide, including more than 10 million
certified units in the United States.
Williams was active in the music industry for 74 years.

"Easy Lover" is a song performed by Philip Bailey, of Earth,
Wind & Fire, and Phil Collins of Genesis and jointly written and composed
by Bailey, Collins, and Nathan East(BMI adds Stacey Dove Daniels, Danny Ray
Nixon & Olivia Pamela Roshell as co-owners of the rights). The song
appeared on Bailey's solo álbum Chinese Wall. Collins has performed the song in
his live concerts and it appears on both his 1990 album Serious Hits... Live! and
his 1998 compilation album, ...Hits.
The song was a No. 1 hit in several countries worldwide, including
Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. In the U.S. it reached
No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 2 February 1985, kept out of the top spot by
"I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner. In the UK Singles Chart it
reached No. 1, staying there for four weeks. The single was certified gold in
the UK. The single sold over a million copies in the U.S. and was certified gold,
as the RIAA requirement for a platinum single disc was not lowered to 1 million
units until 1989. In addition, "Easy Lover" has been certified gold
by the British Phonographic Industry for sales of over 400,000 in the UK and
platinum in Canada by Music Canada.
The single did not
receive a local release in Australia due to a dispute between Bailey's record
company, CBS, and Collins' record company, WEA. As a result, it was only available
through imports from New Zealand, which is the reason for its poor showing on
the Australian charts.
"Easy Lover" won na MTV Video Music Award for Best Overall
Performance in a Video in 1985 and was Grammy nominated for Best Pop
Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals in 1986.
The song's music video, filmed in London, England, humorously depicts
the making of a music video.
Philip David Charles Collins LVO (born 30 January 1951) is an English
drummer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actor.
He was the drummer and singer of the rock band Genesis, and is also a solo
artist. Between 1982 and 1989, Collins scored three UK and seven
US number-one singles in his solo career. When his work with Genesis, his work with other
artists, as well as his solo career is totalled, Collins had more US Top 40
singles than any other artist during the 1980s. His most successful singles
from the period include "In the Air Tonight", "Against All Odds
(Take a Look at Me Now)", "One More Night", "Sussudio",
"Two Hearts" and "Another Day in Paradise".

Francis Cabrel, né Le 23 novembre 1953 à Agen dans le Lot-et-Garonne, est
un auteur-compositeur-interprète français.
Ses ventes de disques
sont estimées à plus de 25 millions d'exemplaires
Francis Cabrel naît à Agen dans une famille modeste originaire du Frioul en
Italie, d'un père ouvrier dans une biscuiterie et d'une mère caissière dans une
cafétéria. Il a une sœur, Martine, et un frère,
Philippe. Il passe son enfance à Astaffort,
dans le Lot-et-Garonne, où il vit actuellement avec sa femme et ses trois
filles.
À treize ans, il entend pour la première fois Like a Rolling Stone de Bob
Dylan à la radio; une découverte qui aura une influence majeure dans sa
carrière. À Noël, son oncle Freddy lui offre une guitare; il se met ainsi à
composer ses premiers morceaux afin de lutter contre sa timidité. Il se met
alors à reprendre les chansons de Neil Young, Leonard Cohen et évidemment Bob
Dylan, apprenant l'anglais en traduisant les paroles. Il
racontera plus tard qu'il pensait que sa guitare lui permettait de se rendre
plus intéressant aux yeux des autres. À 17 ans, il commence à monter plusieurs groupes de folk rock et chante
dans les orchestres de bals, mais ses groupes ne tiennent pas longtemps.
Alors qu'il est em classe de première, il est renvoyé du lycée Bernard
Palissy d'Agen en raison de ses trop fréquentes absences, il travaille alors, à
19 ans, comme magasinier dans un magasin de chaussures tout en jouant dans des
bals locaux avec un groupe «Ray Frank et les Jazzmen». Le groupe se renomme par
la suite «les Gaulois» à cause des moustaches de chacun des membres. En effet,
à cette époque, Cabrel arbore un style hippie, cheveux longs et moustaches.
En juin 1974, à Toulouse, il participe à un concours de chanson de Sud
Radio durant lequel se succèdent 400 candidats devant un jury composé notamment
de Daniel et Richard Seff. La chanson Petite Marie, dédiée à sa femme Mariette
Darjo, lui permet de remporter le concours et le prix de 2.000 francs. De plus,
les frères Seff lui ouvrent les portes de la firme CBS.
Managé en début de carrière par le producteur Jacques Marouani, c'est
ensuite à Maurice Tejedor — producteur de spectacles dans le grand Sud-Ouest,
avec qu’il lie des liens amicaux au cours d'une mini-tournée— qu'il confie
l'organisation de ses spectacles et tournées.

Didier Barbelivien, né Le 10 mars 1954 à Paris, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète
français. Il a composé plus de 2.000 chansons depuis 1978, année où il écrivit
la chanson pour le candidat français à l'Eurovision. Un grand nombre d'artistes
français ont interprété ses chansons, notamment Johnny Hallyday, Dalida ou
encore Céline Dion.
Reconnu d'abord en tant qu'auteur, il connut des succès d'interprète avec
notamment les chansons À toutes les filles... et Il faut laisser le temps au
temps, qui occuperont toutes les deux la première place du Top 50.
Didier Barbelivien est élevé au Congo où son père fait de l'import-export
d'animaux domestiques, avant d'arriver en France à six ans.
À son arrivée en France, il habite deux ans et demi em Loire Atlantique chez
son oncle et sa tante. Une fois ses parents rentrés d'Afrique, Didier est
retourné vivre avec eux à Asnières puis Ormesson-sur-Marne jusqu’à l’âge de 13
ans. C’est à partir de cet âge qu'il a vécu à Paris, dans le 11ème
arrondissement, avec sa grand-mère, et qu'il a suivi sa scolarité au Lycée
Chaptal jusqu’au bac avec son ami d’enfance Jean Marc Roberts (écrivain
éditeur). Il a suivi des études de droit à Paris.
Il a tout juste 16 ans
lorsqu’il commence à écrire de nombreuses chansons. Certains de ses textes feront l’objet d’adaptations de
chansons à succès, comme Méditerranéenne qui est une reprise de la chanson L'Italiano
de Toto Cutugno. En 1978, il écrit la chanson Il y aura toujours des violons,
(composée par Gérard Stern) pour Joël Prévost, représentant la France au Concours
Eurovision de la chanson se déroulant à Paris. Prévost se classa troisième sur
vingt pays.
