AIN'T NOBODY
CHAKA KHAN
SONGWRITER: DAVID HAWK WOLINSKI
COUNTRY: U.S.A.
ALBUM: STOMPIN’ AT THE SAVOY
LABEL: WARNER BROS
GENRE: R & B
YEAR: 1983

"Ain't Nobody" is a song by American funk band Rufus and American singer Chaka Khan. It was released on November 4, 1983, as a bonus track for their live album Stompin' at the Savoy(1983). "Ain't Nobody" quickly gathered popularity, and reached number one on the US Billboard R&B chart and number 22 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It has become one of Khan's signature songs.
Rufus keyboardist David "Hawk" Wolinski wrote the song around a repeating synthesizer loop backed by a Linn LM-1 drum computer; however, John J. R. Robinson, the band's drummer, played real drums for the recording session. The band did a democratic vote and they decided to include the song in their album repertoire. Once the song was recorded, Warner executives wanted to issue another song as the album's first single. Wolinski threatened to give the song to American singer Michael Jackson and American producer Quincy Jones for Jackson's album Thriller if the song was not the lead-off single. The label relented and "Ain't Nobody" was issued and hit number one on the R&B chart for the week ending October 15, 1983.
The song was also included on the soundtrack album to the 1984 film Breakin'.
The song was adopted in the United Kingdom by fans of some of the country's soccer clubs, with the words: Ain't nobody loves (player), makes me happy, makes me feel this way. Teams include Fulham(Tom Cairney), Nottingham Forest(Joe Lolley), Arsenal(Laurent Koscielny), Wales (Joe Ledley) and West Ham(Manuel Lanzini).
Captured effortlessly
That's the way it was
Happened so naturally
I did not know it was love
The next thing I felt was
You holding me close
What was I gonna do?
I let myself go

And now we're flying through the stars
I hope this night will last forever

I've been waiting for you
It's been so long
I knew just what I would do
When I heard your song
Filled my heart with your bliss
Gave me freedom
You knew I could not resist
I needed someone

And now we're flying through the stars
I hope this night will last forever
Oh oh oh oh

Ain't nobody
Loves me better
Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way
Ain't nobody
Loves me better than you

I wait for night time to come
And bring you to me
Can't believe I'm the one
I was so lonely
I feel like no one could feel
I must be dreaming
I want this dream to be real
I need this feeling

I make my wish upon a star
And hope this night will last forever

And first you put your arms around me
Then you put your charms around me
I can't resist this sweet surrender
Oh my nights are warm and tender
We stare into each other's eyes
And what we see is no surprise
Got a feeling most with treasure
And a love so deep we cannot measure.

The album spawned the hits "Slow Down", "Stay a Little While, Child" and two others, all of which were hits on the U.S. R&B charts, with "Slow Down" reaching number one on the chart. [Hook]
 Shake the ground

[Verse 1]
[Jane Eugene]
I've been waiting
While you've been living
How do I get through to you?
Well my body's shaking
Anticipating
Trying to figure your next move

[Carl McIntosh]
Baby, I've got to move
'Cause I'm tired of watching you
And I can't slow down
Or keep my feet on shaky ground

[Chorus]
Slow down (Slow down)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Ooh, slow down, baby)
Slow down (Can't stop for you)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Slow down...ooh ooh)

[Refrain]
Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on?
(Is this the part? Oh no)
Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on?
(Oh, is this the part?) (Don't wipe your feet on me)

[Verse 2]
[Jane Eugene]
If you won't give me what I've been missing
Then someone else will have to do, oh baby

[Carl McIntosh]
Then I guess that's how it's got to be
You for you, and me for me

[Chorus]
Slow down
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Slow down, baby, ooh yeah)
Slow down
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Now tell me what you're going through)
(Don't wipe your feet on me)

[Refrain]
Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on?
(Is this the part, baby?)
Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on?

[Chorus]
Slow down (Slow down now)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
('Cause I can't take the heat; no, I can't take the heat)
Slow down (Come on now, slow down)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Ooh, slow down)

Slow down
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Slow...slow down)
Slow down (You for you...)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down (And me for me, yeah)

Slow down (I'm on your side)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(But you move too fast)
Slow down (Join me)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down (Slow down, baby)
(Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on?)

Slow down (Join me)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Slow down, yeah; slow down)
Slow down (I'm in the fast lane now)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down
(Oh, this dissipating love with you)
(Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on?)

Slow down (Slow)
'Cause I can't take the heat, slow down...
ROQUE DA PESADA
THE FEVERS
COMPOSITOR: THE FEVERS
PAÍS: BRASIL
ÁLBUM: THE FEVERS/VINYL
GRAVADORA: ODEON
GÊNERO: ROCK
ANO: 1973

Alecia Beth Moore(born September 8, 1979), known professionally as Pink (stylized as P!nk), is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, record producer, spokesperson, and model. She was originally a member of the girl group Choice. In 1995, LaFace Records saw potential in P!nk and offered her a solo recording contract. She gained further recognition with the collaborative single "Lady Marmalade" from the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack, which topped many charts worldwide. Twenty-five years and my life is still
Trying to get up the great big hill of hope
For a destination

I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was never this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means

And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar.

And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
What's going on?

And I say: HEY! yeah yeaaah, HEY yeah yea
I said hey, what's going on?

And I say: HEY! yeah yeaaah, HEY yeah yea
I said hey, what's going on?

ooh, ooh ooh

and I try, oh my god do I try
I try all the time, in these institutions

And I pray, oh my god do I pray
I pray every single day
For a revolution.

And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?

Twenty-five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
for a destination.
