Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hannover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal. The lineup from 1979 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1979, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After the departure of Roth in 1978 and short-lived reunion with Schenker's brother Michael, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards hard rock/heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. Throughout the 1980s the group received positive reviews and critical acclaim from music critics, and experienced commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism (1980), Blackout (1982), Love at First Sting (1984), the live recording World Wide Live (1985), Savage Amusement (1988) and Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads (1989), which is their best-selling compilation album.
Scorpions' eleventh studio álbum Crazy World (1990) was also well-received, and included the song "Wind of Change",a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is one of the best-selling singles in the world with over fourteen million copies sold. Scorpions have sold over 110 million records in total. They have released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. Six of their singles have reached number one on the charts in different countries. Their albums, singles, compilations and video releases have reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum status 200 times in different countries.
Rolling Stone described the Scorpions as "the heroes of heavy metal", and MTV called them "Ambassadors of Rock". The band has influenced a number of acts such as Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Skid Row, Cinderella, Doro, Helloween, Hanoi Rocks, and Yngwie Malmsteen. The Scorpions were ranked number 46 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme, with "Rock You Like a Hurricane" at number 18 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. "Still Loving You" ranked 22nd place among the greatest ballads. They have received prestigious awards such as three World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock wall, and a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015 the group celebrated its 50th anniversary.
"Send Me an Angel" is a song by the German rock band Scorpions, recorded for their eleventh studio album, Crazy World (1990). The song was composed by Rudolf Schenker, written by Klaus Meine, and produced by Keith Olsen and the band. It was released as the album's fourth and final single in September 1991. Along with "Wind of Change", the song became the album's signature track, reaching number 44 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart on 25 January 1992, number 8 on the Mainstream Rock Chart on 19 October 1991, and high chart positions in many European countries.
The wise man said just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by
Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and you will find
The passage out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
Just beware of the thorns

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just raise your hand
And reach out for the spell
Find the door to the promised land
Just believe in yourself
Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The way out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star.

Whitesnake are a hard rock band formed in England in 1978 by David Coverdale, after his departure from his previous band Deep Purple. Their early material has been compared by critics to the blues rock of Deep Purple, but they slowly began moving toward a more commercially accessible rock style. By the turn of the decade, the band's commercial fortunes changed and they released a string of UK top 10 albums, Ready an' Willing (1980), Come an' Get It (1981), Saints & Sinners (1982) and Slide It In (1984), the last of which was their first to chart in the US and is certified 2x platinum.
The band's 1987 self-titled album was their most commercially successful worldwide, and contained two major US hits, "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love", reaching number one and two on the Billboard Hot 100. The album went 8 times platinum in the US, and the band's success saw them nominated for the 1988 Brit Award for Best British Group. Slip of the Tongue (1989) was also a success, reaching the top 10 in the UK and the US, and received a platinum US certification. The band split up shortly after this release, but had a reunion in 1994, and released a one-off studio album, Restless Heart (1997).
Whitesnake officially reformed in 2002 and have been touring together since, releasing four albums, Good to Be Bad (2008), Forevermore (2011), The Purple Album (2015) and Flesh & Blood (2019). In 2005, Whitesnake were named the 85th greatest hard rock band of all time by VH1
"Crying in the Rain" is a song by the English hard rock band Whitesnake. The song was originally released on the group's 1982 album Saints & Sinners, but was re-recorded on the group's 1987 multi-platinum album Whitesnake. The song was inspired by singer David Coverdale's divorce.
The original version of "Crying in the Rain" is very blues-based and features a short guitar solo at the beginning played by Bernie Marsden. The original song also has a bit slower tempo compared to the re-recorded version, which had a much heavier and faster sound, influenced by heavy metal. The guitar solo at the beginning of the original was also removed from this version. David Coverdale has stated in interviews that "John (Sykes) hated blues".
The re-recorded version (sometimes titled "Crying in the Rain '87") was also released as a one-track promo single.
The song has been a part of Whitesnake's live performances since its release in 1982, although it is the 1987 version that Whitesnake has kept performing, since 1987. Also, since Whitesnake's reformation in 2002, the song has been extended by a drum solo in the middle of the song.

A black cat moans
When he's burning with the fever
A stray dog howls
When he's lonely in the night

A woman goes crazy
With the thought of retribution
But, a man starts weeping
When he's sick and tired of life

I keep on dreaming dreams of tomorrow
Feel I'm wasting my time
Lighting candles in the wind

Always taking my chances
On the promise of the future
But, a heart full of sorrow
Paints a lonely tapestry

The Sun is shining
Oh, but, it's raining in my heart

No one understands the heartache
No one feels the pain
No one ever sees the tears
When you're crying in the rain (2x)
Crying in the rain

I can never deny
All the sweet things I have tasted
Tho' I've been mistreated
I keep coming back for more, more, more

I know where I'm going
There's no hope of absolution
I can't seem to separate
The good times from the bad

The Sun is shining
Oh baby, it's still raining in my heart, in my heart
No one understands the heartache
No one feels the pain
No one ever sees the tears
When you're crying in the rain (3x)
When you're crying in the rain, no, no, no

The Sun is shining
But, it's raining in my heart

No one understands the heartache
No one feels the pain
No one ever sees the tears
When you're crying in the rain (4x)

Crying in the rain (2x).

GENRE: ITALO DISCO
YEAR: 1983

Paul Mazzolini (born 18 February 1960), known as Gazebo, is an Italian singer, songwriter and producer known for an Italo disco music style, a variation of 1980s Euro disco. His song "I Like Chopin" reached No. 1 in more than 15 countries.
Gazebo was born in Beirut, Lebanon, where his father was working as a diplomat in the Italian embassy. Through his father's work, he later lived in Jordan, Denmark (where he learned good English at an American school) and France. He also worked as a guitarist in London for some time. He finished his university study of French literature with a degree in 1983. He chose his stage name Gazebo after the pavillon structure of the same name, because it sounded catchy and this was important for Radio DJs at the time.
In 1983 he released "I Like Chopin". It sold 8 million copies worldwide and reached Nº. 1 of Italian charts along with 15 other countries, among them Germany, Spain and Austria. His singles "Masterpiece" (1982) and "Lunatic" (1983) also reached Top Ten in several European, Asian and Latin American countries. His work in that period was produced by Pierluigi Giombini with whom he co-wrote the hit "Dolce Vita" for singer Ryan Paris.
Gazebo is still touring and working on new albums. In addition, he is also working as a producer for other artists.
"I Like Chopin" is a song by Italian singer Gazebo. It was produced in Italy in 1983 by Pierluigi Giombini. It is generally regarded as one of the most significant Italo disco tracks of the mid-1980s. It peaked at number one in several European national charts. The music was composed by Giombini (contrary to popular belief without themes from Chopin). The lyrics were written by Gazebo.
Remember that piano
So delightful unusual
That classic sensation
Sentimental confusion

Used to say
I like chopin
Love me now and again
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Rainy days never say goodbye
To desire when we are together
Rainy days growing in your eyes
Tell me where's my way

Imagine you're facing
A sunshine reflection
A vision of blue skies
Forever distractions

Used to say
I like chopin
Love me now and again
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Rainy days never say goodbye
To desire when we are together
Rainy days growing in your eyes
Tell me where's my way

Oh, oh

Rainy days never say goodbye
To desire when we are together
Rainy days growing in your eyes
Tell me where's my way

Rainy days never say goodbye
To desire when we are together
Rainy days growing in your eyes
Tell me where's my way.

Starship is an American rock band. Initially a continuation of Jefferson Starship, it underwent a change in musical direction, the subsequent loss of personnel, and a lawsuit settlement that led to a name change.
In early 1992, Thomas revived Starship as "Mickey Thomas' Starship" before changing the name to Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, which has toured steadily ever since. Although Thomas has been supplemented by a mostly new cast of performers, bassist Brett Bloomfield did return to the fold for several years. Melisa Kary and Christina Marie Saxton, who had both performed with the group as backing singers on tour in 1989 through 1990, also had stints as full band members in Starship featuring Mickey Thomas. Darrell Verdusco, formerly of KBC Band, has served as drummer since 1995. Keyboard player Phil Bennett also joined in 1995. The band recorded the álbum Live at Stanley Cup in 1997. Jeff Adams came aboard on bass in 2000.
In 2003, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas released a DVD documentary Starship: Greatest & Latest. The album accompanying this release contained re-recordings by Starship featuring Mickey Thomas of some of the Starship's biggest hits, songs originally from the period of Thomas's tenure in Jefferson Starship, as well as "Fooled Around and Fell in Love", which Thomas sang with the Elvin Bishop Group in 1976. Female vocalist Stephanie Calvert joined the band in 2006. A live album, Layin' it on the Line Live in Las Vegas was released in 2007. Starship featuring Mickey Thomas released the non-album single "Get Out Again" in 2007.
A new Starship album, Loveless Fascination, produced by Jeff Pilson of Foreigner, was released on September 17, 2013. The band performed at the Streamy Awards on September 8, 2014. The non-album single "My Woman" was released in 2016. On February 1, 2019, Rhino Entertainment acquired the rights to the Starship catalog for all the albums released between 1985 and 1991.
Former Starship trumpet player Max Haskett, who performed with the band from their reformation in 1992 until the following year, died in 1999 as a result of pancreatic cancer. Lead guitarist Erik Torjesen, who performed with the band between 1996 and 2000, died of cancer, aged 34, in 2001. Torjesen's replacement, Mark Abrahamian, died from a heart attack, aged 46, following a concert on September 2, 2012. Abrahamian was replaced as guitarist by John Roth.
Knee Deep in the Hoopla is the debut studio album by American AOR band Starship, the succeeding musical project to Jefferson Starship. It was released on September 10, 1985, through record label Grunt.
Four singles were released from the album: the No. 1 hits "We Built This City" and "Sara", "Tomorrow Doesn't Matter Tonight" and "Before I Go".

Go now
Don't look back
We've drawn the line
Move on
It's no good to go back in time

I'll never find another girl like you
For happy endings
It takes two
We're fire and ice
A dream won't come true

Sara, Sara
Storms are brewing in your eyes
Sara, Sara
No time is a good time for goodbyes

Danger
In the game when the stakes are high
Branded
My heart was branded
While my senses stood by

I'll never find another girl like you
For happy endings
It takes two
We're fire and ice
A dream won't come true

Sara, Sara
Storms are brewing in your eyes
Sara, Sara
No time is a good time for goodbyes
Sara, Sara
Storms are brewing in your eyes
Sara, Sara
No time is a good time for goodbyes

('Cause Sara)
Loved me, like no one ever loved me before
(And Sara)
Hurt me, no one could ever hurt me more
(And Sara)
Sara
(And Sara)
Nobody loved me anymore

I'll never find another girl like you, no
We're fire and ice
A dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, Sara
No time is a good time, no

Sara, Sara
Storms are brewing in your eyes
Sara, Sara
No time is a good time for goodbyes
Ooh, Sara, Sara, Sara
Storms are brewing in your eyes
Sara, Sara
No time is a good time, no
Sara, Sara
Why did it?
Why did it?
(Sara, Sara)
Why did it all fall apart?
(Sara, Sara)
(Sara, Sara)
(Sara, Sara).
