Duran Duran (/djʊˌræn djʊˈræn/) are an English new wave band formed in Birmingham in 1978. The group were a leading band in the MTV-driven Second British Invasion of the US in the 1980s. The group was formed by keyboardist Nick Rhodes and bassist John Taylor, with the later addition of drummer Roger Taylor, and after numerous personnel changes, guitarist Andy Taylor (none of the Taylors are related) and lead singer Simon Le Bon. These five members featured the most commercially successful line-up.
When Duran Duran emerged they were generally considered part of the New Romantic scene, along with bands such as Spandau Ballet and Visage. The video age catapulted Duran Duran into the mainstream with the introduction of the 24-hour music channel MTV. Many of their videos were shot on 35 mm film, which gave a much more polished look than was standard at the time. They also collaborated with professional film directors to take the quality a step further, often teaming up with Australian director Russell Mulcahy for some of their most memorable video offerings. In 1984, the band were early innovators with video technology in their live stadium shows. The band were one of the most successful acts of the 1980s, though by the end of the decade, membership and music style changes challenged the band before a resurgence in the early 1990s.
The group have never disbanded, but after the departures of Andy and Roger Taylor in 1986, the line-up has changed to include former Missing Persons American guitarist Warren Cuccurullo from 1989 to 2001 and American drummer Sterling Campbell from 1989 to 1991. The reunion of the original five members in the early 2000s created a stir among the band's fans and music media. Andy Taylor left the band once again in mid-2006, and guitarist Dominic Brown has since been working with the band as a session player and touring member.
Duran Duran have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. They achieved 14 singles in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart and 21 in the US Billboard Hot 100. The band have won numerous awards throughout their career: two Brit Awards including the 2004 award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, two Grammy Awards, an MTV Video Music Award for Lifetime Achievement, and a Video Visionary Award from the MTV Europe Music Awards. They were also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Duran Duran (commonly known as The Wedding Album) is the seventh studio album and the second self-titled album by English new wave band Duran Duran. It was released on 11 February 1993 by Parlophone.
After dwindling commercial success in the early 1990s, Duran Duran returned to the UK top five and US top 10 with this album, which has been certified Gold in the UK and Platinum in the US. The singles "Ordinary World" and "Come Undone" reached the US top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
The cover art by Nick Egan features wedding photos from the parents of the four band members.
Whilst officially titled Duran Duran worldwide - the general belief that the alt name was first adopted by fans post-release, due to the use of the members' parents wedding photos on the cover, to differentiate it from the 1981 album, is incorrect. Instead, the name was originally used on two different UK promo cassettes prior to release - one calling it The Wedding & the other The Wedding Album.
Whilst this name was officially dropped before release - with, for example, the UK & US TV adverts calling it simply "Duran Duran" - uniquely, the commercially released UK cassette version still titled it Duran Duran (The Wedding Album) on the tape itself; though this was almost certainly in error.

Breath after breath
Ama! Dança!

Every day I wake up in this room
And I don't know
Where I come from,
Where I'm going to
Then I hear the voice

Senhora musa da paz
Me abraça
Me carrega no teu andor

Dormir no colo da dor
Amiga, arrasa!
A tua mão desenhou
O sonho na areia
Agora, entrega de vez
Meu rumo
E vida

From where I stand
The truth isn't black and white
Alone we live and die
We love and fight
Breath after breath
We carry this mortal coil
Safe for tomorrow

Do I dare
Oh do I dare
Follow through the goorsteps
My whole body hears
Beating on my heart like a feather
Beating of a moment til I disappear

Diga uma palavra alegre
Manda um recado
Que seja agora
Faz o mundo ficar novo
E dançar no colo do tal de amor

From where I stand
The truth isn't black and white
Alone we live and die
We love and fight
Breath after breath
We carry this mortal coil
Safe for tomorrow

Circles in sand are washed out into the sea
Just as we slip on through to eternity
Breath after breath
We carry this mortal coil
Safe for tomorrow

Diga uma palavra, cara
Bem alegre
Corre, manda logo um recado
Me abraça
Faz um clima doce
Me arrepia!
Chega de sufoco
Me põe louco!
Me faz diamante
Teu amante
Dança ao som do vento
Me ensina
Basta de sufoco
Não faz jogo

A flame of love is burning
Always
The song is of the planets
Oh, wow
The dance is to the rhythm of the rain
Where everyone is coming from
Is coming to

And birth is just a
Breath after breath.

YOU DON'T LOVE ME

Dawn Penn (born 1952 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a Jamaican reggae singer. She first had a short career during the rocksteady era, between 1967 and 1969, but is most known for her single "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" which became a worldwide hit in 1994.
"You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" is a song by Jamaican recording artist Dawn Penn from her first studio album, No, No, No (1994). The song's lyrics are credited to Penn, Bo Diddley and Willie Cobbs, and production was handled by Steely & Clevie.
Penn had originally recorded a version of Cobbs' 1960 song "You Don't Love Me" in 1967, incorporating elements of its music and lyrics. It is claimed that the Cobbs song was, in turn, based on Diddley's 1955 1994, after a 17-year break from the music industry, she re-recorded a dancehall version of the song retitled "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)".
Penn's 1994 version of the song became a commercial success worldwide. In the United Kingdom, it peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. The song also reached the top 20 in Austria and Switzerland, and the top 40 in the Netherlands and New Zealand. In the United States, the single also charted at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 42 on the Hot R&B Singles chart. Multiple recording artists have performed cover versions and sampled "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" in their own works. Barbadian singer Rihanna remade the song for her debut studio album, Music of the Sun (2005), and American entertainer Beyoncé performed the song on her I Am... World Tour concert tour (2009–10).

No no no
You don't love me
And I know now
No no no
You don't love me
Yes, I know now
'Cause you left me, baby
And I got no place to go now

No no no
I'll do anything you say boy
No no no
I'll do anything you say boy
'Cause if you ask me, baby
I'll get on my knees and pray boy

No no no
You don't love me
And I know now
No no no
You don't love me
Yes, I know now.

YOU’RE STRONGER THEN ME
PATSY CLINE

ALBUM: THE PATSY CLINE STORY
LABEL: DECCA RECORDS
GENRE: COUNTRY BALLAD
YEAR: 1963

Patsy Cline(born Virginia Patterson Hensley; September 8, 1932 – March 5, 1963) was an American singer. She is considered one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was one of the first country music artists to successfully cross over into pop music. Cline had several major hits during her eight-year recording career, including two number-one hits on the Billboard Hot Country and Western Sides chart.
Cline's first professional performances began at the local WINC radio station when she was fifteen. In the early 1950s, Cline began appearing in a local band led by performer Bill Peer. Various local appearances led to featured performances on Connie B. Gay's Town and Country television broadcasts. It also led to the signing of her first recording contract with the Four Star label in 1954. She had minor success with her earliest Four Star singles including "A Church, a Courtroom, Then Goodbye"(1955) and "I've Loved and Lost Again"(1956). In 1957 however, Cline made her first national television appearance on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. After performing "Walkin' After Midnight", the single would become her first major hit on both the country and pop charts.
Cline's further singles with Four Star Records were unsuccessful, although she continued performing and recording. After marrying in 1957 and giving birth in 1958, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to further her career. Working with new manager Randy Hughes, Cline would become a member of the Grand Ole Opry and then move to Decca Records in 1960. Under the direction of producer Owen Bradley, her musical sound shifted and she achieved consistent success. The 1961 single "I Fall to Pieces" would become her first to top the Billboard country chart. As the song became a hit, Cline was severely injured in an automobile accident, which caused her to spend a month in the hospital. After recovering, her next single release "Crazy" would also become a major hit.
If you are sincere
When you say you don't care
That our love is just a memory
If the love that we knew
Won't bother you
Darlin', you're stronger than me

CHORUS:
For if still lovin' you means I'm weak
Then I'm weak
For I still fall apart when we speak
Or we meet
If the love that we knew
Won't bother you
Darlin you're stronger than me

If you can have fun
With some other one
With no thought of what used to be
If it's easy to say
That it's better this way
Darlin you're stronger than me

REPEAT CHORUS

DON'T SLOW DOWN

I look into your eyes, I see the dream that I've been searching for
I'll search no more
The age of innocence is never truly spent when there is love
Still there to touch

[Chorus:]
So don't slow down, the wheels are turning, the fire's burning in us now
Don't slow down, don't lose the magic, we've come too far to turn back now

I ask to share your dreams, recalling empty scenes, you hesitate
It's not too late
I wish into your eyes, the truth of what I am behind the mask
Beyond the past

[Chorus]

Don't slow down!

[Chorus] - don't slow down

Don't slow down, yeah.
