Well I stumbled in the darkness
I'm lost and alone
Though I said I'd go before us
And show the way back home
There a light up ahead
I can't hold onto her arm
Forgive me pretty baby but I always take the long way home

Money's just something you throw
Off the back of a train
Got a handful of lightening
A hat full of rain
And I know that I said
I'd never do it again
And I love you pretty baby but I always take the long way home

I put food on the table
And roof overhead
But I'd trade it all tomorrow
For The highway instead
Watch your back if I should tell you
Loves the only thing I've ever known
One thing for sure sweet baby I always take the long way home

You know I love you baby
More than the whole wide world
You are my woman
I know you are my pearl
Let's go out past the party lights
We can finally be alone
Come with me and we can take the long way home
Come with me, together we can take the long way home
Come with me, together we can take the long way home.

Balança toda pra andar
Balança até pra falar
Balança tanto que já balançou meu coração

Balance mesmo que é bom
Do Leme até o Leblon
E vai juntando um punhado de gente
Que sofre com seu andar

Mas ande bem devagar
Que é pra não se cansar
Vai caminhando, balan... balançando sem parar

Balance os cabelos seus
Balance cai, mas não cai
E se cair vai caindo, caindo
Nos braços meus.

She sold over 30 million records worldwide. On December 31, 2015, Cole died at the age of 65 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, due to congestive heart failure. "I Live for Your Love" is a 1987 song by Natalie Cole. It was the second of four charting singles from her Everlasting LP, and was also the second greatest hit from the album.
The song reached number 13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 during the winter of 1988. It was a major Adult Contemporary and R&B hit, reaching number two and number four on those charts, respectively. It was less of a hit on the Canadian pop and AC charts, and also charted minorly in the UK.
"I Live for Your Love" is Cole's longest-running chart single. It is her only song which spent over five months on the American pop charts. Her only bigger hit on the U.S. Adult Contemporary chart was "Miss You Like Crazy", which reached number one a year later.

Stand up, stand on your own, that's what they tell me
You can make it alone, but where does it say I have to move
Far away from you to prove I'm strong
Oh when all it really proves is I'm lonely without you
And loneliness has to be wrong, I live for your love, (everyday), every minute

I live for your love, (in my life), want you in it
I live for your love, I admit it, I live for your love
I wake up with no one to kiss, sometimes I wonder, (wonder, wonder) if I just exist

I know there are people I can see, places I could be, and friends who call
Oh but what good does it do, there's no substitute for you
I want you or nothing at all, I live for your love, (every day), every minute

I live for your love, (in my life), want you in it, I live for your love, I admit it
I live for your love and your kisses, and know how I'm missing
Your sweet tender touch, (tender touch), I need you so much
That I just can't go on anymore, what I wouldn't give for
'Cause darling I live for your love, (everyday), every minute

I live for your love, (got one life) want you in it
I live for your love, I hate to admit it, but oh, I live for, I'd die for
What I wouldn't give for your love, (I live for your love, every day)
I live for your love, (got one life) every day, every minute
(I live for your love), I have only got one life, I want you in it
Oh, my baby, yes, yes, I live for your love, ooh, ooh.

Well, like I said before
Pay up your money and you ask for more
But there's no reason
Yeah, no reason

I can't say goodbye
Tried all too hard and it made you cry
Yet, I've been cheating
Yeah, I've been cheating

Like before you threw me out the door
And I couldn't see behind me
Like before, when I asked for more
I couldn't be myself

Still singin' this song
Baby, can't you do me wrong
Music is my food and life
Don't take it away

I want the world to see
I don't care when it will be
There's no doubt
I wanna go to the sun, everyone
Yeah, you start to look old

Sand and sea, will do it endlessly
I will never, turn it away
Well, salty air, seagulls everywhere
I wanna live there one day
But I'm still singin' my song
Baby, won't you do me wrong?
Music is my food and life
Don't take it away

I want the world to see
I'm about
I don't care when it will be
I'm alright
I wanna go to the sun, everyone
I'll tell you what you must do

I want the world to see
I'm about
I don't care when it will be
There's no doubt
I wanna go to the sun, everyone

I don't know what I can do
I wanna go to the sun, everyone
I don't care when it will be
There's no doubt
I wanna go to the sun, everyone
I'll tell you what I must do

I want the world to see
I can't know when it will be
I don't know when it will be
I don't care when it will be
I wanna go to the sun

I don't care when it will be
I want the world to see
I want everyone to see
I want everyone to see
I want everyone to be
What I want to be
I want to be free.
