Thomas Wright "Fats" Waller (May 21, 1904 – December 15, 1943) was an American jazz pianist, organist, composer, violinist, singer, and comedic entertainer.
His innovations in the Harlem stride style laid the groundwork for modern jazz piano. His best-known compositions, "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Honeysuckle Rose", were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1984 and 1999. Waller copyrighted over 400 songs, many of them co-written with his closest collaborator, Andy Razaf. Razaf described his partner as "the soul of melody... a man who made the piano sing... both big in body and in mind... known for his generosity... a bubbling bundle of joy". It is possible financial circumstances caused him to compose many more popular songs and sell them to other performers.
Waller started playing the piano at the age of six, and became a professional organist at age 15. By the age of 18, he was a recording artist. Waller's first recordings, "Muscle Shoals Blues" and "Birmingham Blues", were made in October 1922 for Okeh Records. That year, he also made his first player piano roll, "Got to Cool My Doggies Now". Waller's first published composition, "Squeeze Me", was published in 1924. He became one of the most popular performers of his era, touring internationally and achieving critical and commercial success in the United States and Europe. He died from pneumonia, aged 39.
Waller was the seventh child of 11 (five of whom survived childhood) born to Adeline Locket Waller, a musician, and Reverend Edward Martin Waller, a trucker and pastor in New York City. He started playing the piano when he was six and graduated to playing the organ at his father's church four years later. His mother instructed him in his youth, and he attended other music lessons, paying for them by working in a grocery store. Waller attended DeWitt Clinton High School for one semester, but left school at 15 to work as an organist at the Lincoln Theater in Harlem, where he earned $32 a week. Within 12 months he had composed his first rag. He was the prize pupil and later the friend and colleague of the stride pianist James P. Johnson. His mother died on November 10, 1920 from a stroke due to diabetes.

I'm sorry, dear, so sorry, dear
I'm sorry I made you cry!
Won't you forget, won't you forgive?
Don't let us say goodbye!
One little word, one little smile
One little kiss, won't you try?
It breaks my heart to hear you sigh
I'm sorry I made you cry!

Tu respiras junto a mí
Solo entonces
Solo entonces
Se que vivo
Porque estamos
Yo, tú
Y las Rosas
Yo, tú
Y el Amor
Y aunque se acabase el mundo
Siempre sobre todo
Tendremos que estar
Yo, tú
Y las Rosas

Cuando cuando
Tu respiras junto a mí
Solo entonces
Solo entonces
Se que vivo…

Basta saber como me miras
Para saber lo que te pasa
Basta saber que eres mentira
Cuando le restas importancia
A los detalles y a tus besos
A tu secreto y mi deseo
Basta saber cuándo te veo
Aunque te pongas a llorar ya no te creo.

Coro.

Pertenecen a otro cuerpo
A otro que tiene por trofeo
Lo que tenía yo algún día
Si te tuviera al lado volvería
A darte mi calor por si te enfrías

Coro.

Appearing in the 1983 music video for "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" with orange cropped hair and wearing a man's business suit, the BBC states, "all eyes were on Annie Lennox, the singer whose powerful androgynous look defied the male gaze". Subsequent hits with Eurythmics include "There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)" and "Here Comes the Rain Again".
Lennox embarked on a solo career in 1992 with her debut album, Diva, which produced several hit singles including "Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass". The same year, she performed "Love Song for a Vampire" for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Her 1995 studio album, Medusa, includes "No More I Love You's" and "A Whiter Shade of Pale". At the 2015 Ivor Novello Awards, Lennox was made a fellow of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, the first woman to receive the honour.
In addition to her career as a musician, Lennox is also a political and social activist, notable for raising money and awareness for HIV/ AIDS as it affects women and children in Africa—this includes her SING Campaign which she launched in 2007. In 2011, Lennox was appointed an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II for her "tireless charity campaigns and championing of humanitarian causes". On 4 June 2012 she performed at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert in front of Buckingham Palace. In 2017, Lennox was appointed Glasgow Caledonian University's first female chancellor.
Bare is the third studio album by Annie Lennox, released in June 2003. It peaked at number 3 in the UK and number 4 on the US Billboard 200. The album has been certified Gold in both the UK and the US and was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 46th Grammy Awards.

Old man lying by the side of the road
With the lorries rolling by
Blue moon's sinkin from the weight of the load
And the buildings scrape the sky
Cold wind nippin and the valley of dawn
And the morning paper flies
Dead man lying by the side of the road
With the daylight in his eyes

Don´t let it bring you down,
It´s only castles burning
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around

Blind man running through the light of the night
With an insight in his hands
Come on down to the river of sight
And you can really understand

Red lights flashing through the window of your room
Can you hear the sirens moan
White kid lying in the gutter in the lane
And you're walking home alone

Don't let it bring you down
It´s only castles burning
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around

Dont let it bring you down
It´s only castles burning
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around

Old man lying by the side of the road
With the lorries rolling by
Blue moon's sinkin from the weight of the load
And the buildings scrape the sky
Cold wind nippin and the valley of dawn
And the morning paper flies
Dead man lying by the side of the road
With the daylight in his eyes

Dont let it bring you down
It´s only castles burning
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around
And you will come around

Dont let it bring you down
It´s only castles burning
Find some one who`s turning
And you will come around.
