Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal, and glam metal. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine(vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell(drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After the departure of Roth in 1978 and short-lived reunion with Schenker's brother Michael, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards hard rock/heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. Throughout the 1980s the group received positive reviews and critical acclaim from music critics, and experienced commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism(1980), Blackout(1982), Love at First Sting(1984), the live recording World Wide Live(1985), Savage Amusement(1988) and Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads(1989), which is their best-selling compilation album.
Scorpions' eleventh studio álbum Crazy World(1990) was also well-received, and included the song "Wind of Change", a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is one of the best-selling singles in the world with over fourteen million copies sold. Scorpions have sold over 110 million records in total. They have released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. Six of their singles have reached number one on the charts in different countries. Their albums, singles, compilations and video releases have reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum status 200 times in different countries.
Rolling Stone described the Scorpions as "the heroes of heavy metal", and MTV called them "Ambassadors of Rock". The band has influenced a number of acts such as Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Skid Row, Cinderella, Doro, Helloween, Hanoi Rocks, and Yngwie Malmsteen. The Scorpions were ranked number 46 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme, with "Rock You Like a Hurricane" at number 18 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. "Still Loving You" ranked 22nd place among the greatest ballads. They have received prestigious awards such as three World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock wall and a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015, the group celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Face the Heat is the twelfth studio album released by the German hard rock band Scorpions in 1993.
It was produced by the band and the late Bruce Fairbairn and released on the PolyGram label. This album marked their status as a sort of political band with the song "Alien Nation", This album had a contemporary touch to it, as the band were then going with the current trends, before later returning to their original style in Unbreakable in 2004. This is the last album to feature drummer Herman Rarebell, and the first with Ralph Rieckermann on bass guitar.
"Under the Same Sun" was played during the ending credits of the 1994 film On Deadly Ground.
"Alien Nation" was covered by the Italian heavy metal band Mastercastle, recorded by Pier Gonella at MusicArt Studios and released as Japanese bonus track of their album The Phoenix.
"Lonely Nights" was later included in the 2017 compilation álbum Born to Touch Your Feelings: Best of Rock Ballads.

I saw the morning
It was shattered by a gun
Heard a scream, saw him fall, no one cried
I saw a mother
She was praying for her son
Bring him back, let him live, don't let him die

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a Heaven in the sky
Why can't we get it right

'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one

I saw the evening
Fading shadows one by one
We watch the lamb, lay down to the sacrifice
I saw the children
The children of the sun
How they wept, how they bled, how they died

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a Heaven in the sky
Why can't we stop the fight

'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one

Sometimes I think I'm going mad
We're loosing all we had and no one seems to care
But in my heart it doesn't change
We've got to rearrange and bring our world some love

And does it really matter
If there's a heaven up above
We sure could use some love

'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one
'cause we all live under the same sky
We all look up at the same stars
Then why, tell me why can't we live as one.

My mother said I'm too romantic
She said ‘You're dancing in the movies'
I only started to believe her
Then I saw you and I knew
Maybe it's ‘cause I got a little bit older
Maybe it's all that I've been through
I'd like to think it's how you lean on my shoulder
And how I see myself with you

I don't say a word
But still you take my breath and steal the things I know
There you go
Saving me from out of the cold

Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we're winners
They say that we're out of control
And some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms
‘Cause when you unfold me
And tell me you love me
And look in my eye
You are perfection
My only direction
It's fire on fire
It's fire on fire

When we fight, we fight like lions
But then we love and feel the truth
We lose our minds in a city of roses
We won't abide by any rules

I don't say a word
But still you take my breath and steal the things I know
There you go
Saving me from out of the cold

Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we're winners
They say that we're out of control
And some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms
‘Cause when you unfold me
And tell me you love me
And look in my eye
You are perfection
My only direction
It's fire on fire

Oh
It's fire on fire

Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we're winners
They say that we're out of control
And some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms

Fire on fire
Would normally kill us
But this much desire
Together we're winners
They say that we're out of control
And some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin
Our beautiful rhythms
‘Cause when you unfold me
And tell me you love me
And look in my eye
You are perfection
My only direction
It's fire on fire

You are perfection
My only direction
It's fire on fire.

A CERTAIN SOMEONE

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
SONGWRITER: ANTHONY KIEDIS
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: TELL ME BABY
LABEL: WARNER RECORDS
GENRE: ROCK
YEAR: 2006

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Their music incorporates elements of alternative rock, funk, punk rock and psychedelic rock. The band consists of vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist John Frusciante. With over 80 million records sold worldwide, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the best-selling bands of all time. They are the most successful band in the history of alternative rock, with the records for most number-one singles (13), most cumulative weeks at number one (85) and most top-ten songs (25) on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. and in 2012 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed in Los Angeles by Kiedis, Flea, guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons. Because of commitments to other bands, Slovak and Irons did not play on the band's 1984 self-titled debut album, which instead featured guitarist Jack Sherman and drummer Cliff Martinez. Slovak rejoined for their second album, Freaky Styley (1985), and Irons for their third, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan(1987). Slovak died of a drug overdose on June 25, 1988; Irons, devastated, left the band.
With new recruits Frusciante and Smith, the Red Hot Chili Peppers recorded Mother's Milk(1989) and their first major commercial success, Blood Sugar Sex Magik(1991). Frusciante was uncomfortable with their newfound popularity and left abruptly on tour in 1992; he was replaced by Dave Navarro, who appeared on the group's sixth album, One Hot Minute(1995). Although successful, the album failed to match the critical or popular acclaim of its predecessor. Frusciante and Kiedis struggled with drug addiction throughout the 1990s.
In 1998, following Navarro's departure, Frusciante rejoined the band. Their seventh album, Californication(1999), became their biggest commercial success, with 16 million copies sold worldwide. By the Way(2002) and Stadium Arcadium(2006) were also successful; Stadium Arcadium was their first album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Frusciante left again in 2009 to focus on his solo career; he was replaced by Josh Klinghoffer, who appeared on I'm with You(2011) and The Getaway(2016), before Frusciante rejoined in 2019.
When it will come around
The wind that... will inspire

When will it make a sound
The sound... I desire

'Cause we all need something to do
A certain something... that's true

Floating upstream I've seen
The spider and the snake
A trip without pause when
I saw... my mistake

'Cause we all need something to do
A certain something... that's true

All my life... I have known who I am
A troubled man but I stand

All my life I have seen what it means
To be myself in this dream

'Cause we all need something to do
A certain someone... that's you.

Al fondo el corazón tena una herida, sufría, sufría
Le dije que no es nada mas mentía, lloraba, lloraba
Por ti, se ha hecho tarde, es ya noche
No me detengas, déjame ir
