Eilleen "Shania" Twain (/aɪˈliːn/eye-LEEN,/ʃənaɪə/; born Eilleen Regina Edwards; August 28, 1965) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She has sold over 100 million records, making her the best-selling female artist in country music history and one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Her success garnered her several honorific titles including the "Queen of Country Pop". While Billboard named her as the leader of the '90s country-pop crossover stars.
Raised in Timmins, Ontario, Twain pursued singing and songwriting from a young age before signing with Mercury Nashville Records in the early 1990s. Her self-titled debut studio album was a commercial failure upon release in 1993. After collaborating with producer and later husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange, Twain rose to fame with her second studio album, The Woman in Me(1995), which brought her widespread success. It sold over 20 million copies worldwide, spawned eight singles, including "Any Man of Mine" and earned her a Grammy Award. Her third studio album, Come On Over(1997), became the best-selling studio album by a female act in any genre and the best-selling country album of all time, selling over 40 million copies worldwide. Come On Over produced twelve singles, including "You're Still the One", "From This Moment On", "That Don't Impress Me Much" and "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" and earned Twain four Grammy Awards. Her fourth studio album, Up!(2002), spawned eight singles, including "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!", "Ka-Ching!" and "Forever and for Always", selling over 20 million copies worldwide, also being certified Diamond in the United States.
In 2004, after releasing her Greatest Hits album, which produced three new singles including "Party for Two", Twain entered a hiatus, revealing years later that diagnoses with Lyme disease and dysphonia led to a severely weakened singing voice. She chronicled her vocal rehabilitation on the OWN miniseries Why Not? with Shania Twain, released her first single in seven years in 2012, "Today Is Your Day", and published an autobiography, From This Moment On. Twain returned to performing the following year with an exclusive concert residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Shania: Still the One, which ran until 2014. In 2015, she launched the North American Rock This Country Tour, which was billed as her farewell tour. Twain released her first studio album in 15 years in 2017, Now, and embarked on the Now Tour in 2018. In 2019, she started her second Las Vegas residency, Let's Go! at the Zappos Theater.
Twain has received fiv Grammy Awards, a World Music Award, 27 BMI Songwriter Awards, stars on Canada's Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and an induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. According to the RIAA she is the only female artist in history to have three (consecutive) albums certified Diamond by the RIAA and is the sixth best-selling female artist in the United States. Altogether, Twain is ranked as the 10th best-selling artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era. Billboard listed Twain as the 13th Greatest Music Video Female Solo Artist of all time (42nd overall).
"I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian singer Shania Twain. It was the first single from her 2002 album Up!, and was co-written by Twain and her then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" was originally released to country radio in the United States on October 7, 2002. Twain chose "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" as the first single for Up! since she thought it was relatable to her previous singles, and she did not want something too unfamiliar. The song has become one of her biggest hits worldwide, charting in different countries where she had never had hits before. At the 2003 Juno Awards, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" was named Country Recording of the Year. Later, the Jonas Brothers covered the song for the soundtrack for their film Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.
Let's go!

Don't wantcha for the weekend
Don't wantcha for a night
I'm only interested
If I can have you for life – yeah

Uh, I know I sound serious - and baby I am
You're a fine piece of real estate
And I'm gonna get me some land

Oh yeah

So don't try to run
Honey, love can be fun
There's no need to be alone
When you find that someone

(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha while I gotcha in sight
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha even takes all night
(Yeah you can betcha)
You can betcha by the time I say go?
You'll never say no
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha, it's a matter of fact
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha, don'tcha worry 'bout that
(Yeah, you can betcha)
You can bet your bottom dollar
In time you're gonna be mine
Just like I should
I'll getcha good

Yeah, uh, uh
I've already planned it
Here's how it's gonna be
I'm gonna love you
And you're gonna fall in love with me
Yeah yeah

So don't try to run
Honey, love can be fun
There's no need to be alone
When you find that someone

(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha while I gotcha in sight
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha even takes all night
(Yeah you can betcha)
You can betcha by the time I say go?
You'll never say no
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha, it's a matter of fact
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha, don'tcha worry 'bout that
(Yeah, you can betcha)
You can bet your bottom dollar
In time you're gonna be mine
Just like I should
I'll getcha good

Yeah I'm gonna getcha baby
I'm gonna knock on wood
I'm gonna getcha somehow honey
Yeah I'm gonna make it good
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Oh yeah
So don't try to run
Honey, love can be fun
There's no need to be alone
When you find that someone

I'm gonna getcha, it's a matter of fact
(I'm gonna getcha)
I'm gonna getcha, don'tcha worry 'bout that
(Yeah, you can betcha)
You can bet your bottom dollar
In time you're gonna be mine

Oh, I'm gonna getcha
I'm gonna getcha real good

Do you ever feel like breaking down
Do you ever feel out of place
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you

Do you ever wanna runaway
Do you lock yourself in your room
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt, to feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around

To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

Do you wanna be somebody else
Are you sick of feeling so left out
Are you desperate to find something more
Before your life is over

Are you stuck inside a world you hate
Are you sick of everyone around
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt, to feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around

To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

No one ever lied straight to your face
And no one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy
But I'm not gonna be okay

Everybody always gave you what you wanted
You never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like
What it's like

To be hurt, to feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around

To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like

To be hurt, to feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around

To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like

Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life.

Avril Ramona Lavigne (/ˌævrɪl ləˈviːn/ AV-ril lə-VEEN, French: [avʁil laviɲ]; born September 27, 1984) is a Canadian singer, songwriter and actress. By the age of 15, she had appeared on stage with Shania Twain, and by 16, she had signed a two-album recording contract with Arista Records worth more than $2 million.
Lavigne's debut studio album, Let Go(2002), is the best-selling album of the 21st century by a Canadian artist. It yielded the singles "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi", which emphasized a skate punk persona and earned her the title "Pop Punk Queen" from music publications. She is considered a key musician in the development of pop punk music since she paved the way for female-driven, punk-influenced pop music in the early 2000s. Her second studio album, Under My Skin(2004), became Lavigne's first album to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, going on to sell 10 million copies worldwide.
Lavigne's third studio album, The Best Damn Thing(2007), reached number one in seven countries worldwide and saw the international success of its lead single "Girlfriend", which became her first single to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Her fourth and fifth studio albums, Goodbye Lullaby(2011) and Avril Lavigne(2013), saw continued commercial success and were both certified gold in Canada, the United States, and other territories. In 2019, Lavigne released her sixth studio album, Head Above Water. Alongside her music career, Lavigne voiced Heather, a Virginia opossum, in the animated film Over the Hedge(2006), and made her screen acting debut in Fast Food Nation (2006).
"What the Hell" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne from her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby(2011). It was released on 10 January 2011 by RCA Records as the lead single from the album. The song was produced by Max Martin and Shellback, who co-wrote the song with Lavigne. According to Lavigne, she wrote the song as her "personal message for freedom".
Upon its release, "What the Hell" received positive reviews from music critics with many complimenting its catchiness and comparing it to her 2007 single "Girlfriend". The song was successful, reaching number one in Japan, the top five in Asia, the Top 10 in Europe, Australia, South America, Mexico, Canada, and the Top 20 in the US and the UK, peaking at eleven and sixteen, respectively.
An accompanying music video for the song was directed by Marcus Raboy and premiered on 23 January. "What the Hell" was performed by Lavigne on several television programs such as Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, Daybreak, The View, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on the Much Music Video Awards, America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent. Additionally, she added the song to the setlist of The Black Star Tour(2011).
You say that I'm messing with your head
All 'cause I was making out with your friend
Love hurts whether it's right or wrong
I can't stop 'cause I'm having too much fun

You're on your knees
Begging please,
Stay with me
But honestly
I just need to be a little crazy

All my life I've been good, but now
Ah, I'm thinking "what the hell"
All I want is to mess around
And I don't really care about
If you love me, if you hate me
You can't save me, baby, baby
All my life I've been good, but now
Whoa, what the hell

What? What? What? What the hell?
So what if I go out on a million dates
You never call or listen to me anyway
I'd rather rage than sit around and wait all day
Don't get me wrong, I just need some time to play

You're on your knees
Begging please,
Stay with me
But honestly
I just need to be a little crazy

All my life I've been good, but now
Ah, I'm thinking "what the hell"
All I want is to mess around
And I don't really care about
If you love me, if you hate me
You can't save me, baby, baby
All my life I've been good, but now
Whoa, what the hell

La la la la la la la la
Whoa, whoa
La la la la la la la la
Whoa, whoa

You say that I'm messing with your head, boy
I like messing in your bed
Yeah, I'm messing with your head
When I'm messing with you in bed

All my life I've been good, but now
Ah, I'm thinking "what the hell"
All I want is to mess around
And I don't really care about

All my life I've been good, but now
Ah, I'm thinking "what the hell"
All I want is to mess around
And I don't really care about me
If you love me, if you hate me
You can't save me, baby, baby
All my life I've been good, but now
Whoa, what the hell

La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la.

GENRE: HARD ROCK
YEAR: 1993

Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal, and glam metal. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine(vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell(drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After the departure of Roth in 1978 and short-lived reunion with Schenker's brother Michael, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards hard rock/heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. Throughout the 1980s the group received positive reviews and critical acclaim from music critics, and experienced commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism(1980), Blackout(1982), Love at First Sting(1984), the live recording World Wide Live(1985), Savage Amusement(1988) and Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads(1989), which is their best-selling compilation album.
Scorpions' eleventh studio álbum Crazy World(1990) was also well-received, and included the song "Wind of Change", a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is one of the best-selling singles in the world with over fourteen million copies sold. Scorpions have sold over 110 million records in total. They have released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. Six of their singles have reached number one on the charts in different countries. Their albums, singles, compilations and video releases have reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum status 200 times in different countries.
Rolling Stone described the Scorpions as "the heroes of heavy metal", and MTV called them "Ambassadors of Rock". The band has influenced a number of acts such as Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Skid Row, Cinderella, Doro, Helloween, Hanoi Rocks, and Yngwie Malmsteen. The Scorpions were ranked number 46 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme, with "Rock You Like a Hurricane" at number 18 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. "Still Loving You" ranked 22nd place among the greatest ballads. They have received prestigious awards such as three World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock wall and a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015, the group celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Face the Heat is the twelfth studio album released by the German hard rock band Scorpions in 1993.
It was produced by the band and the late Bruce Fairbairn and released on the PolyGram label. This album marked their status as a sort of political band with the song "Alien Nation", This album had a contemporary touch to it, as the band were then going with the current trends, before later returning to their original style in Unbreakable in 2004. This is the last album to feature drummer Herman Rarebell, and the first with Ralph Rieckermann on bass guitar.
"Under the Same Sun" was played during the ending credits of the 1994 film On Deadly Ground.
"Alien Nation" was covered by the Italian heavy metal band Mastercastle, recorded by Pier Gonella at MusicArt Studios and released as Japanese bonus track of their album The Phoenix.
"Lonely Nights" was later included in the 2017 compilation álbum Born to Touch Your Feelings: Best of Rock Ballads.

I saw the morning
It was shattered by a gun
Heard a scream, saw him fall, no one cried
I saw a mother
She was praying for her son
Bring him back, let him live, don't let him die

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a Heaven in the sky
Why can't we get it right

'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one

I saw the evening
Fading shadows one by one
We watch the lamb, lay down to the sacrifice
I saw the children
The children of the sun
How they wept, how they bled, how they died

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a Heaven in the sky
Why can't we stop the fight

'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one

Sometimes I think I'm going mad
We're loosing all we had and no one seems to care
But in my heart it doesn't change
We've got to rearrange and bring our world some love

And does it really matter
If there's a heaven up above
We sure could use some love

'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one
'cause we all live under the same sky
We all look up at the same stars
Then why, tell me why can't we live as one.
