Day after day
Time passed away
And I just can't get you off my mind
Nobody knows, I hide it inside
I keep on searching but I can't find
The courage to show to letting you know
I've never felt so much love before

And once again I'm thinking about
Taking the easy way out

CHORUS:
But if I let you go I will never know
What my life would be holding you close to me
Will I ever see you smiling back at me?
How will I know if I let you go?

Night after night I hear myself say
Why can't this feeling just fade away?
There's no one like you
You speak to my heart
It's such a shame we're worlds apart

I'm too shy to ask, I'm too proud to lose
But sooner or later I gotta choose

And once again I'm thinking about
Taking the easy way out

CHORUS:
And once again I'm thinking about
Taking the easy way out

CHORUS:

MAGIC

One Direction, often shortened to 1D, are an English-Irish pop boy band formed in London, England in 2010. The group are composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson; former member Zayn Malik departed from the group in March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010.
Propelled to global success by social media, One Direction's five albums, Up All Night(2011), Take Me Home(2012), Midnight Memories(2013), Four(2014), and Made in the A.M.(2015), topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful" (their first number one on the UK Singles Chart, and the highest debut for a British act on the US Billboard Hot 100 since 1998), "Live While We're Young", "Best Song Ever", "Story of My Life" and "Drag Me Down". After the release of Four, One Direction became the first band in the US Billboard 200 history to have their first four albums debut at number one. Their third album, Midnight Memories, was the best-selling album worldwide of 2013.
Considered teen idols, One Direction were often subject to fan hysteria. They embarked on four world tours, two of which were all-stadium. The band's Where We Are Tour, in support of Midnight Memories, was the highest-grossing concert tour in 2014, the highest-grossing tour by a vocal group in history, and the 15th highest-grossing concert tour of all time, grossing $290.2 million (unadjusted for inflation). The band went on hiatus in January 2016, allowing all members to pursue other projects.
As of 2020, the band have sold a total of 70 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. The band have won nearly 200 awards, including seven Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards (including Artist of the Year in 2014 and 2015), and 28 Teen Choice Awards. In 2013, they earned an estimated $75 million, becoming the second highest earning celebrity under 30 according to Forbes. As the world's best-selling artist of 2013, the group was named the Global Recording Artist of the Year by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. In 2014, Billboard named the band "Artist of the Year". Forbes ranked them as the fourth highest-earning celebrities in the world in 2015, and second in 2016.
Take Me Home is the second studio album by British-Irish boy band One Direction, released on 9 November 2012 by Syco Music and Columbia Records. As a follow-up to One Direction's internationally successful debut álbum Up All Night(2011), Take Me Home was written in groups and has an average of just under five songwriters per track. Largely recorded and composed in Sweden during 2012, Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub and Carl Falk, who composed One Direction's hits, "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing", spent six months in Stockholm developing songs for the album, and were able to shape melodies around the members' tones.
The album's songs are characterised by metronomic pop, vocal harmonies, hand claps, prominent electric guitar riffs, bright synthesisers, a homogeneous sound and message, and rotations of lead vocals. The members' voices are presented individually on the record, and its lyricism speaks of falling in love, unrequited love, commitment, jealousy and self-empowerment. Take Me Home garnered mostly positive reviews from music critics. There was praise for its quality of production, while criticism hinged on its generic, rushed nature.
Globally, the album topped the charts in more than 35 countries. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry(IFPI), Take Me Home was the fourth-global-best-selling album of 2012, selling 4.4 million units. The album's number-one debut on the US Billboard 200 chart made One Direction the first group to bow atop the Billboard 200 with their first two albums since American girl group Danity Kane entered with Welcome to the Dollhouse in 2008 and their self-titled debut in 2006. One Direction also became the second act in 2012 to achieve two number-one albums within a 12-month period, and the first boy band in US chart history to land two number-one albums in a calendar year. Their debut album and Take Me Home were the third and fifth-best-selling albums of 2012 in the United States, respectively, making the band the first act to place two albums in the year-end top five in the Nielsen SoundScan era.
The album's lead single, "Live While We're Young", released on 28 September 2012, peaked inside the top ten in almost every country it charted in and recorded the highest one-week opening sales figure for a song by a non-U.S. artist. The subsequent singles, "Little Things" and "Kiss You", were less successful, although the former topped the UK Singles Chart. To promote the album, One Direction performed the album's songs on several televised programmes and a headlining sold-out concert at the Madison Square Garden. Furthermore, One Direction embarked on their second worldwide concert tour entitled the Take Me Home Tour in 2013
Baby c'mon over
I don't care if people find out
They say that we're no good together
And this never gonna work out

But baby you got me moving too fast
Cause I know you wanna be back
And girl when you're lookin' like that
I can't hold back

Cause you, you've got this spell on me
I don't know what to believe
Kiss you once, now I can't leave
Cause everything you do is magic
But everything you do is magic

So l-l-let them take pictures
Spread it all around the world now
I wanna put it on my record
I want everyone to know now

But baby you got me moving too fast
Cause I know you wanna be back
And girl when you're lookin' like that
I can't hold back

Cause you, you've got this spell on me
I don't know what to believe
Kiss you once, now I can't leave
Cause everything you do is magic
But everything you do is magic
Everything you do is magic

They say that we're no good together
And this never gonna work out
I wanna put it on my record
I want everyone to know now

Everything you do is magic
Everything you do is magic
Everything you do is magic
Everything you do is magic

Cause you, you've got this spell on me
I don't know what to believe
Kiss you once, now I can't leave
Cause everything you do is magic
But everything you do is magic

C'mon
Kiss you once, now I can't leave
Cause everything you do is magic
But everything you do is magic.

Yeah
You are my fire
The one desire
Believe when I say
I want it that way

But we are two worlds apart
Can't reach to your heart
When you say
That I want it that way

Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a mistake
Tell me why
I never wanna hear you say
I want it that way

Am I your fire?
Your one desire?
Yes, I know, yeah, it's too late
But I want it that way

Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a mistake
Tell me why
I never wanna hear you say
I want it that way

Now, I can see that we've fallen apart
From the way that it used to be, yeah
No matter the distance
I want you to know
That deep down inside of me

You are my fire
The one desire
You are, you are, you are, you are

Don't wanna hear you say, yeah
Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Ain't nothin' but a mistake
(Don't wanna hear you say)
I never wanna hear you say
I want it that way

Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a mistake
Tell me why
I never wanna hear you say
(Don't wanna hear you say)
I want it that way

Tell me why
Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Ain't nothin' but a mistake
Tell me why
I never wanna hear you say
(Don't wanna hear you say it)
I want it that way
'Cause I want it that way.

Always the life of the party
Always the clown of the class
All of my friends see me happy baby
But happy is only a mask

Nobody knows when I'm alone inside my room
I sing another tune

[Chorus:]
I'm goin' down
When I hear the sound
The sound of my tears
When you're not around
It's all I can do
When I listen to
The sound of my tears baby when I'm missing you

Don't mind the sounds of the city baby
Don't mind the noise of the crowd
Just when I'm lonely with my thoughts of you
The silence is always too loud

Pay it no mind
You know the truth behind the smile
It's only just a lie

[Chorus x 2]
Pay it no mind
You know the truth behind the smile
It's only just a lie

[Repeat chorus to fade]
