In 2015, Idolator called the song a "pop masterpiece".
I guess now it's time
For me to give up
I feel it's time
Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark
Still on your coffee cup
Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it,
Gotta leave it
All behind now

Whatever I said,
Whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
I want you back for good

Unaware but underlined
I figured out this story
It wasn't good
But in the corner of my mind
I celebrated glory
But that was not to be
In the twist of separation
You excelled at being free
Can't you find
A little room inside for me

Whatever I said,
Whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
I want you back for good

And we'll be together,
This time is forever
We'll be fighting
And forever we will be
So complete in our love
We will never be uncovered again

Whatever I said,
Whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
I want you back for good

I guess that now it's time
That you came back for good.

MOONLIGHT SHADOW

DANA WINNER

COUNTRY: BÉLGIQUE
ALBUM: UNFORGETTABLE
LABEL: EMI MUSIC SOUTH AFRICA
GENRE: POP
YEAR: 2001

Dana Winner is the stage name of Chantal Vanlee (born 10 February 1965 in Hasselt). She is a Belgian singer who is famous especially in Flanders, South Africa and the Netherlands.
In 1990 she released her first single Op het dak van de wereld, (Dutch: "On the roof of the world"), a cover of The Carpenters' Top of the World from 1973. In 1993 she became really popular with Woordenloos(Dutch: "Without words"). However, it was only in 1995 that she released her Only hit single so far to reach the Dutch Top 40, Westenwind. This was a cover of the former hit One Way Wind by the Volendam group The Cats.
After her first success, Dana Winner also became well known in Germany and South Africa. At the end of the 1990s, she began singing in other languages and did not release an album in Dutch between 2000 and 2006. It was also in 2006 that she got a permanent memento in Bornem, along the SIM-route.

The last that ever she saw him,
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
He passed on worried and warning,
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
Lost in a riddle that Saturday night,
Far away on the other side.
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
And she couldn't find how to push through.

The trees that whisper in the evening,
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
Sing a song of sorrow and grieving,
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
All she saw was a silhouette of a gun,
Far away on the other side.
He was shot six times by a man on the run
And she couldn't find how to push through.

I stay, I pray
See you in heaven far away.
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven one day.

Four AM in the morning,
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
I watched your vision forming,
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
Stars roll slowly in a silvery night,
Far away on the other side.
Will you come to terms with me this night,
But she couldn't find how to push through.

I stay, I pray
See you in heaven far away.
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven one day.
Far away on the other side.

Caught in the middle of a hundred and five.
The night was heavy and the air was alive,
But she couldn't find how to push through.
Far away on the other side.

The night was heavy and the air was alive,
But she couldn't find how to push through.
She couldn't find how to push through.
How to push through.
How to push through.
How to push through.
How to push through.
How to push through.

COUNTRY: GERMANY
ALBUM: BEST OF ROCK BALLADS
LABEL: SONY MUSIC
GENRE: HARD ROCK
YEAR: 1978

Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal, and glam metal. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine(vocals), Rudolf Schenker(rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs(lead guitar), Francis Buchholz(bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After the departure of Roth in 1978 and short-lived reunion with Schenker's brother Michael, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards hard rock/heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. Throughout the 1980s the group received positive reviews and critical acclaim from music critics, and experienced commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism(1980), Blackout(1982), Love at First Sting(1984), the live recording World Wide Live(1985), Savage Amusement(1988) and Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads(1989), which is their best-selling compilation album.
Born to Touch Your Feelings: Best of Rock Ballads is a compilation album by German rock band Scorpions. It includes the most popular Scorpions ballads, with a brand new acoustic studio version of the song "Send Me an Angel", a new full band studio version of the song "Follow Your Heart" and two brand new songs "Melrose Avenue" and "Always Be with You" that were written specifically for this compilation.
I was born from the sound of the strings
For someone to give everything
To be a song just for your feeling
Close your eyes and I'll try to get in
To waken your heart like the spring
'Cos I was born to touch your feelings

Steal the time, take a song and be glad
Be free as the birds, don't be sad
Your time will come. I'll make you feel it
You're still young like the sun after rain
Follow the light, it's not in vain
And you will see I'll touch your feelings

You've got your songs, they are everyday
For a while, just the only way
To feel alright...

You were born just to lose or to win
To be someone's child in the wind
To live between your mind and feelings
Find your way, check it out, learn each day
Follow the light, it's not in vain
And you will see I'll touch your feelings

You've got your songs, they are everyday
For a while
Just the only way
To feel alright...

C'est si bon
De partir n'importe où
Bras dessus, bras dessous
En chantant des chansons

C'est si bon
De se dire des mots doux
De petits riens du tout
Mais qui en disent long
En voyant notre mine ravie

Les passants dans la rue nous envient
C'est si bon
De guetter dans ses yeux
Un espoir merveilleux
Qui donne le frisson

C'est si bon
Ces petites sensations
Ça vaut mieux qu'un million
C'est tellement, tellement bon

Mmm, c'est bon
Voilà, c'est bon
Les passants dans la rue
Bras dessus, bras dessous
En chantant des chansons
Quel espoir merveilleux

Mmm, c'est bon
Je cherche un millionnaire
Avec des grands Cadillac car
Mink coats
Des bijoux jusqu'au cou, tu sais?

Mmm, c'est bon
Cette petites sensations
Ou peut-être quelqu'un
Avec un petit yacht, no?

Ah, c'est bon
C'est bon, c'est bon
Vous savez bien que j'attendrais
Quelqu'un qui pourrait m'apporter

Beaucoup de loot
Ce soir? Demain? La semaine prochaine?
N'importe quand
Mmm, c'est bon, si bon
Il sera très
Crazy, no?
Voilà, c'est tellement bon.
