"If Ever You're in My Arms Again" is a 1984 song recorded by American R&B singer Peabo Bryson. Released as a single from his álbum Straight from the Heart, the single peaked at #6 on the R&B chart and was Bryson's first Top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it peaked at #10 during the summer of 1984. It also spent four weeks at #1 on the adult contemporary chart. The song was used as a love theme for the Kelly Capwell and Joe Perkins characters on the daytime serial Santa Barbara.
It all came so easy
All the loving you gave me
The feelings we shared
And I still can remember
How your touch was so tender
It told me you cared
We had a once in a lifetime
But I just couldn't see
Until it was gone
A second once in a lifetime
May be too much to ask
But I swear from now on

If ever you're in my arms again
This time I'll love you much better
If ever you're in my arms again
This time I'll hold you forever
This time we'll never end

Now I'm seen clearly
How I still need you near me
I still love you so
There's something between us
That won't ever leave us
There's no letting go
We had a once in a lifetime
But I just didn't know it
Till my life fell apart
A second once in a lifetime
Isn't too much to ask
'Cause I swear from the heart
Never end

The best of romances
Deserve second chances
I'll get to you somehow
'Cause I promise now.

LES ESCROCS
COMPOSITEURES: LES ESCROCS
PAYS: FRANCE
ALBUM: FAITES-VOUS DES AMIS
RECORD: BIG THUMB PRODUCTIONS
GENRE: MUSIQUE D’HUMOUR

Assedic...
Je t'écrirai de temps en temps,
Toi tu m'enverras mon virement directement,
Tout là-bas, dans mon île
Assedic...
Me gâcher mes jolies vacances,
Assedic,
Evidemment on a dit non
Mais faudra me payer cher
Assedic...
Je t'écrirai de temps en temps,
Toi tu m'enverras mon virement directement,
Tout là-bas, dans mon île
Assedic

I wake with the dawn, something is wrong, then I hear you
Breathing softly by my side
And I know that I was dreaming of a time that may come when
You would be no longer in my life

I slip out of bed, I go downstairs
Still troubled by the power of the dream
And I know that I don't say it quite as much as I should the
Way I feel and what you mean to me

You are my lover, you are my friend, you are my life to the
Very end
You bring me comfort, you keep me warm, you give me hope
You make me strong, you take me away to a distant shore
And it's with you that I want to stay forevermore

You go out at night, you're looking so good, people turning
As you walk into the room
When I stand beside you I can feel the pride in my heart to
Know that you are here with me tonight

You are my lover, you are my friend, you are my life to the
Very end
You bring me comfort, you keep me warm, you give me hope
You make me strong, you take me away to a distant shore
And it's with you that I'm going to stay forevermore
Yes, it's with you that I'm going to stay forevermore
Yes, it's with you that I'm going to stay forevermore

You are my lover
You are my friend
Forever more
Forever more.

You touched my life
With your softness in the night
My wish was your command
Until you ran out of love

I tell myself I'm free
Got the chance of livin' just for me
No need to hurry home
Now that you're gone

CHORUS:
Knife
Cuts like a knife
How will I ever heal
I'm so deeply wounded
Knife
Cuts like a knife
You cut away the heart of my life

When I pretend
Wear a smile to fool my dearest friends
I wonder if they know
It's just a show

I'm on a stage
Day and night I go through my charades
But how can I disguise
What's in my eyes

CHORUS
Oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh…

I've tried and tried
Blocking out the pain I feel inside
The pain of wanting you
Wanting you

Knife
Cuts like a knife
How will I ever heal
I'm so deeply wounded
[2X]

You cut away the heart
Of my life.
