"Daylight"
is a song performed by American band Maroon 5. The song was released on November 8, 2012, as
the third single from their fourth studio album Overexposed(2012). Lead singer, Adam Levineco-wrote and co-produced it with Max Martinand Mason "MdL" Levy, with
additional writing from Sam
Martin. The song
is a soft rockballad about realizing that one has
to move on from an old relationship, but not fully wanting to leave just yet.
The song received a mixed reception from
music critics. Some
criticized Levine's vocals and called it a filler among the dance-oriented
tracks on the album, while others felt a Coldplayinspiration in the end of the chorus.
Here I am waiting,
I'll have to leave soon
Why am I holding on?
We knew this day would come, we knew it all along
How did it come so fast?
This is our last
night but it's late
And I'm trying not to sleep
'Cause I know, when I wake
I will have to slip away
And when the daylight
comes I'll have to go
But tonight I'm gonna hold you so close
Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own
But tonight I need to hold you so close
Here I am staring at
your perfection
In my arms, so beautiful
The sky is getting bright, the stars are burning out
Somebody slow it down
This is way too hard
'Cause I know when the sun comes up I will leave
This is my last glance
That will soon be memory
And when the daylight
comes I'll have to go
But tonight I'm gonna hold you so close
Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own
But tonight I need to hold you so close
I never wanted to
stop
Because I don't wanna start all over, start all over
I was afraid of the dark
But now it's all that I want, all that I want, all that I want
And when the daylight
comes I'll have to go
But tonight I'm gonna hold you so close
Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own
But tonight I need to hold you so close
And when the daylight
comes I'll have to go
But tonight I'm gonna hold you so close
Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own
But tonight I need to hold you so close.

Daft Punk were
a French electronic
musicduo
formed in 1993 in Paris by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christoand Thomas Bangalter. Widely regarded as one of the most influential
acts in dance musichistory, they achieved popularity in
the late 1990s as part of the French housemovement. They garnered critical acclaim and
commercial success in the years following, combining elements of house musicwith funk, techno, disco, indie rockand pop.
After
Bangalter and Homem-Christo's indie rockband Darlin'disbanded, they began experimenting
with drum machines, synthesisersand the talk box. Their debut studio álbum Homeworkwas
released by Virgin Recordsin 1997 to positive reviews, backed
by singles "Around the World"
and "Da Funk". From 1999, they assumed robotpersonas with helmets, outfits and gloves for public appearances
to preserve their identities; they made few media appearances. They were
managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter, the head of Ed Banger Records.
Daft Punk's
second album, Discovery(2001),
had further success, supported by hit singles "One More Time",
"Digital Love"
and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". The album became the basis for an animated
film, Interstella 5555, supervised by a Japanese animator Leiji Matsumoto. Daft Punk's third album, Human After All(2005), received mixed reviews, though the
singles "Robot Rock" and "Technologic" achieved success in the United Kingdom.
The duo directed their first film, Electroma, an avant-garde science fiction film, in 2006.
They toured
throughout 2006 and 2007and released the live album Alive 2007, which won a Grammy Awardfor Best Electronic/Dance Album; the tour is credited for popularising dance
music in North America. Daft Punk composed the scorefor the 2010 film Tron: Legacy.
In 2013,
Daft Punk left Virgin for Columbia Recordsand released their fourth album, Random Access Memories, to acclaim; lead single "Get Lucky"
reached the top 10 in the charts of 32 countries. Random Access Memories won
five Grammy Awards in 2014, including Album of the Yearand Record of the Yearfor "Get Lucky". In 2016, Daft Punk gained their
only number one on the Billboard Hot 100with "Starboy", a collaboration with the Weeknd. Rolling Stone ranked them the 12th greatest musical duo. They
announced their split in 2021.
"Get
Lucky" is a song by French electronic musicduo Daft Punk, featuring American singer Pharrell Williamsand American guitarist Nile Rodgers. It was co-written by all
of them. Daft Punk released
the song as the lead singlefrom their fourth and final studio
album, Random
Access Memories,
on 19 April 2013. Before its release as a single, "Get Lucky" was
featured in television advertisements broadcast during Saturday
Night Live,
after which Rodgers and Williams announced their involvement in the track.
"Get Lucky" is a house-inspired disco, funk, and poptrack with lyrics that, according to
Williams, are about the good fortune of connecting with someone, as well as
sexual chemistry. "Get Lucky" has since received
acclaim from critics, with a number of them praising Williams' vocals and
Rodgers' guitar licks.
The song
reached number one in several countries, including Daft Punk's native France,
where the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique(SNEP) certified it diamond. "Get
Lucky" peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100for five consecutive weeks, giving
Daft Punk their first top-10 hit in the United States. In the UK, the single
topped the UK Singles Chartfor four weeks and was the second
best-selling single of 2013 with 1,308,007 copies sold. The song won multiple

Like the legend of the Phoenix
Our ends were beginnings
What keeps the planet spinning
The force from the beginning
We've come too far
To give up who we are
So let's raise the bar
And our cups to the stars
She's up all night 'til the sun
I'm up all night to get some
She's up all night for good fun
I'm up all night to get lucky
We're up all night 'til the sun
We're up all night to get some
We're up all night for good fun
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
The present has no
rhythm
Your gift keeps on giving
What is this I'm feeling?
If you want to leave, I'm with it
We've come too far
To give up who we are
So let's raise the bar
And our cups to the stars
She's up all night 'til the sun
I'm up all night to get some
She's up all night for good fun
I'm up all night to get lucky
We're up all night 'til the sun

We're up all night for good fun
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to
get
We're up all night to get
We're up all night to get
We're up all night to get
We're up all night to get
We're up all night to get
We're up all night to get
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky

"Blurred
Lines" is a song by American singer Robin Thicke
featuring fellow American singer Pharrell
Williams and American rapper T.I., from Thicke's studio
album of the same name(2013). The song was
solely produced by Williams. It was released as the album's lead singleon March
26, 2013, through Star Trak
Recordingsand Interscope Records.
For the lyrics, Thicke said the song is about his former wife Paula Patton.
Musically, "Blurred Lines" is na R&Band poptrack with
instrumentation consisting of bass guitar,
drums, and percussion.
The single was negatively reviewed by many
music critics, with some saying it glorified rape culture. Commercially, the song topped the
charts of 25 countries and reached the top five of six others. "Blurred
Lines" spent 12 consecutive weeks atop the US Billboard Hot 100, making
it the longest-running single of 2013 in the United States. In June 2018, the

It became one of the
best-selling singles of all time, with

Jessi M'Bengue performing several activities, including the models snuggling in
bed with Thicke and sitting on a stuffed dog. After being on the site for just

misogynist and sexist.

televised live events including the 2013 iHeartRadio
Music Festival, the The Ellen

performance with American singer Miley Cyrusat the 2013 MTV

a bitter legal dispute with the family of American singer Marvin Gayeand Bridgeport Music, who
argued the song infringed on copyrights to Gaye's 1977 single "Got to Give It Up".
Williams and Thicke were found liable for copyright
infringementby a federal jury in March 2015, and
Gaye was awarded posthumous songwriting credit based on the royaltiespledged

Everybody get up
Everybody get up
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
If you can't hear
what I'm trying to say
If you can't read from the same page
Maybe I'm going deaf
Maybe I'm going blind
Maybe I'm out of my mind
Ok, now he was close
Tried to domesticate you
But you're an animal
Baby, it's in your nature
Just let me liberate you (hey, hey, hey)
You don't need no papers (hey, hey, hey)
That man is not your maker
And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You're a good, girl
Can't let it get past me
You're far from plastic
Talk about getting blasted
I hate these blurred
lines
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
But you're a good
girl
The way you grab me
Must wanna get nasty
Go ahead, get at me (everybody get up)
What do they make
dreams for
When you got them jeans on?
What do we need steam for?
You the hottest bitch in this place
I feel so lucky (hey,
hey, hey)
You wanna hug me (hey, hey, hey)
What rhymes with, "Hug me?" (hey, hey, hey)
Ok, now he was close
Tried to domesticate you
But you're an animal
Baby, it's in your nature
Just let me liberate you (hey, hey, hey)
You don't need no papers (hey, hey, hey)
That man is not your maker
And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You're a good, girl
Can't let it get past me
You're far from plastic
Talk about getting blasted
I hate these blurred
lines
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
But you're a good
girl
The way you grab me
Must wanna get nasty
Go ahead, get at me (everybody get up)
One thing I ask of
you
Let me be the one you back that ass to
Go, from Malibu to Paris, boo
Yeah, I had a bitch, but she ain't bad as you
So hit me up when you pass through
I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two
Swag on, even when you dress casual
I mean it's almost unbearable
In a hundred years not dare, would I
Pull a Pharside let you pass me by
Nothing like your last guy, he too square for you
He don't smack that ass and pull your hair like that
So I just watch and wait for you to salute
But you didn't pick
Not many women can refuse this pimpin'
I'm a nice guy, but don't get it if you get with me
Shake the vibe, get
down, get up
Do it like it hurt, like it hurt
What you don't like work?
Baby, can you
breathe?
I got this from Jamaica
It always works for me
Dakota to Decatur
No more pretending
(hey, hey, hey)
'Cause now you winning (hey, hey, hey)
Here's our beginning
I always wanted a good girl
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You're a good girl
Can't let it get past me
You're far from plastic
Talk about getting blasted
I hate these blurred
lines
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
But you're a good
girl
The way you grab me
Must wanna get nasty
Go ahead, get at me
Everybody get up
Everybody get up
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey.
