         "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over" is a song recorded, written, and produced by American musician Lenny Kravitz for his second studio album, Mama Said(1991). Released as the album's second single in June 1991, the song is a mid-tempo ballad, musically inspired by Motown, Philly soul, and Earth, Wind & Fire(particularly "That's the Way of the World"). The horn line at the end is performed by the Phenix Horns from Earth, Wind & Fire. "That song just came out one day, and I knew it had a classic vibe. And I still love that song very much today," Kravitz said in an interview for VivaMusic.com in 2000. The line is based on a Yogiism, or quotation from Yogi Berra: "It ain't over 'til it's over." It was Kravitz's first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 of his career, and his highest peak in the chart. British singer Mutya Buena's 2007 song "Real Girl" contains a sample from "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over".

       Atlantic Starr is an American band based in White Plains, New York. They are best known for the hits "Always", "Secret Lovers", "Send for Me", "Circles", "Silver Shadow" and "Masterpiece".

           "Silver Shadow" is a song by American R&B group Atlantic Starr, released as the third single from their successful 1985 album As the Band Turns. Lead vocals were performed by Barbara Weathers.

          The song peaked at #13 on the USA Billboard R&B charts, and at #49 on the dance charts; however, it failed to crack the Billboard Hot 100. In the UK it was released as the first single from the album and it charted at #41. With the success of "Secret Lovers", the song was re-released in the UK in 1986; however, it fared even worse, peaking at #98.

      Richard Noel Marx(born September 16, 1963) is an American adult contemporary and pop rock singer and songwriter.

       His self-titled debut album went triple-platinum in 1987, and his first single, "Don't Mean Nothing", reached number three in the charts. Between 1987 and 1994, he had 14 top 20 hits, including three number one singles; his first seven singles all reached the top five. His singles during the late 1980s and 1990s included "Endless Summer Nights", "Hold On to the Nights", "Right Here Waiting", "Now and Forever", "Hazard", and "At the Beginning" with Donna Lewis. Marx has also written or collaborated on songs with other artists such as "This I Promise You" by NSYNC and "Dance with My Father" by Luther Vandross. The latter song won several Grammy Awards. Songs written or co-written by Marx have topped the charts in four different decades.

        "Endless Summer Nights" is a song written and performed by American rock singer Richard Marx, and released in January 1988 as the third single from his eponymous Triple Platinum debut album. The song peaked at #2 on the U.S. pop and Adult Contemporary charts.

      Eydie Gormé(born Edith Gormezano; August 16, 1928 – August 10, 2013) was an American singer who had hits on the pop and Latin pop charts. She sang solo and with her husband, Steve Lawrence, on albums, television, Broadway, and in Las Vegas.

     "After You've Gone" is a 1918 popular song composed by Turner Layton with lyrics by Henry Creamer. It was recorded by Marion Harris on July 22, 1918, and released by Victor Records. The chorus adheres to a standard ABAC pattern but is only 20 measures long. There are four 4-bar phrases, followed by a 4 measure tag. The song is harmonically active, with chord changes almost every measure. The opening four notes are identical to the opening notes of Peg o' My Heart(1912)—at the time songwriters often borrowed the first few notes of a hit melody. The song was so popular that the sheet music was later decorated with tiny photographs of the 45 men who made the song famous, including Paul Whiteman, Rudy Vallée, B.A. Rolfe, Guy Lombardo, and Louis Armstrong.
