Silverchair were an Australian rock band, which formed in 1992 as Innocent Criminals in Newcastle, New South Wales, with Ben Gillies on drums, Daniel Johns on vocals and guitars, and Chris Joannou on bass guitar. The group got their big break in mid-1994 when they won a national demo competition conducted by SBS TV show Nomad and ABC radio station, Triple J. The band was signed by Murmur, and were successful in Australia and internationally. Silverchair have sold over six million albums worldwide.
Silverchair won more ARIA Music Awards than any other artist in history with 21 wins from 49 nominations. They also received six APRA Awards, with Johns winning three songwriting awards in 2008. All five of their studio albums debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart: Frogstomp(1995), Freak Show(1997), Neon Ballroom(1999), Diorama (2002), and Young Modern (2007). Three singles reached number-one on the related ARIA Singles Chart: "Tomorrow" (1994), "Freak" (1997), and "Straight Lines" (2007).
Silverchair's alternative rock sound evolved throughout their career, differing styles on specific albums growing more ambitious over the years, from grunge on their debut to more recent work displaying orchestral and art rock influences. The songwriting and singing of Johns had evolved steadily while the band had developed an increased element of complexity.
In 2003, following the release of Diorama, the band announced a hiatus, during which time members recorded with side projects the Dissociatives, the Mess Hall, and Tambalane. Silverchair reunited at the 2005 Wave Aid concerts. In 2007, they released their fifth album, Young Modern, and played the Across the Great Divide tour with contemporaries Powderfinger. In May 2011, Silverchair announced an indefinite hiatus.
"Miss You Love" is a song by the Australian rock band Silverchair. It was released as the third single from their 1999 album Neon Ballroom. AllMusic critic Jason Anderson called the song a weepy ballad reminiscent of Goo Goo Dolls.

Millionaire say
Got a big shot deal
And thrown it all away, but
But I'm not too sure
How I'm supposed to feel
Or what I'm supposed to say, but

I'm not, not sure, not too sure how it feels
To handle every day
And I miss you, love

Make room for the pray
'Cause I'm coming in
With what I wanna say, but
It's gonna hurt
And I love the pain
A breeding ground for hate, but

I'm not, not sure, not too sure how it feels
To handle everyday
Like the one that just passed
In the crowds of all the people

Remember today
I've no respect for you
And I miss you love
And I miss you love

I love the way you love
But I hate the way
I'm supposed to love you back and
It's just a fad
Part of the, teen, teenage angst brigade

I'm not, not sure, not too sure how it feels
To handle everyday
Like the one that just past
In the crowds of all the people

Remember today
I've no respect for you
And I miss you love
And I miss you love

Remember today
I've no respect for you
And I miss you love
And I miss you

I love the way you love
But I hate the way
I'm supposed to love you back.

We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'till we fall
They say we got no no no no future at all
They wanna ke-ke-keep us out but they can't hold us down anymore
We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'till we fall

When we hit the bottom, nothing gonna stop us
Climb to the top with you
We're gonna be the greatest, ones who never made it
Yeah I could be talking to you
They tryna hate hate hate
But we won't change, change anything at all
We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'till we fall

They think we just drop-outs
Living at our mom's house
Parents must be so proud
They know it all
No, they don't speak our language
They say we're too savage, yeah
No, no we don't give a- anymore

We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'till we fall

We're gonna keepin' on, keepin' on going 'till we can't go no more
We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'till we fall

When we hit the bottom, nothing gonna stop us
Climb to the top with you
We're gonna be the greatest, ones who never made it
Yeah I could be talking to you

ALBUM: 1969 ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK
LABEL: MGM RECORDS
GENRE: PSYCHEDELIC ROCK
YEAR: 1988

The Animals(also billed as Eric Burdon and the Animals) are an English rhythm and blues and rock band, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. The band moved to London upon finding fame in 1964. The Animals were known for their gritty, bluesy sound and deep-voiced frontman Eric Burdon, as exemplified by their signature song and transatlantic number-one hit single, "The House of the Rising Sun", as well as by hits such as "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It's My Life", "Don't Bring Me Down", "I'm Crying", "See See Rider", and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". The band balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles Against rhythm and blues-oriented album material and were part of the British Invasion of the US.
The Animals underwent numerous personnel changes in the mid-1960s, and suffered from poor business management, leading the original incarnation to split up in 1966. Burdon assembled a mostly new lineup of musicians under the name Eric Burdon and the Animals; the much-changed act moved to California and achieved commercial success as a psychedelic and hard rock band with hits such as "San Franciscan Nights", "When I Was Young", and "Sky Pilot", before disbanding at the end of the decade. Altogether, the group had 10 top-20 hits in both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.
The original lineup of Burdon, Alan Price, Chas Chandler, Hilton Valentine, and John Steel reunited for a one-off benefit concert in Newcastle in 1968. They later had brief comebacks in 1975 and 1983. Several partial regroupings of the original-era members have occurred since then under various names. The Animals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
"When I Was Young" is a song with a countercultural theme released in early 1967 by Eric Burdon and The Animals and was written by five of the band members Eric Burdon (vocals), Barry Jenkins (drums), John Weider (guitar/violin), Vic Briggs (guitar), and Danny McCulloch(bass). It charted in Australia peaking Nº. 2 and stayed 4 weeks there. Later it was a hit charting Nº. 10 on the Canadian RPM chart, Nº 15 in the United States and Nº 9 in the Netherlands. The song has been covered by many punk rock and heavy metal bands.
The rooms were so much colder then
My father was a soldier then
And times were very hard
When I was young

I smoked my first cigarette at tem
And for girls, I had a bad yen
And I had quite a ball
When I was young

When I was young, it was more important
Pain more painful
Laughter much louder
Yeah, when I was young
When I was young

I met my first love at thirteen
She was brown and I was pretty green
And I learned quite a lot when I was young
When I was young

When I was young
Pain more painful
Laughter much louder
Yeah, when I was young
When I was young

My faith was so much stronger then
I believed in fellow man
And I was so much older then
When I was young
When I was young
When I was young.

I got my sights set on you and I'm ready to aim
I have a heart that will never be tamed
I knew you were somethin special
when you spoke my name
Now I can't wait to see you again
I've got a way of knowing
when somethin is right
I feel like I must have known you in another live
Cause I felt htis deep connection
when you looked in my eyes
Now I can't wait
to see you again

The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I st-st-stuttered when you asked me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breath
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Lesley said "Oh she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
My heart it just can't rest till then
I, I can't wait to see you again

I got this crazy feeling, deep inside
When you called and asked to see me tomorrow night
I'm not a mind reader but I'm reading the signs
That you can't wait to see me again

The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I st-st-stuttered when you asked me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breath
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Lesley said "Oh she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
My heart it just can't rest till then
I, I can't wait to see you again

I got my sights set on you and I'm ready to aim
The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I st-st-stuttered when you asked me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breath
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Lesley said "Oh she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
My heart it just can't rest till then
I, I can't wait to see you again

I can't wait to see you again.
