Listen up, listen up!
Hey, hey!

He wanna take me to the aftershow party
But he can't get no admission
And nobody seem to know him at all so I say
Are you really a musician?

I can see you got a heart of gold
But you ain't got no rhythm in your bones
I ain't got no defense,
Look you're the sweetest liar I know, I know
But you ain't never played the bass
You ain't never played the bass

Still the music don't feel like it did when I felt it with you
But you ain't never played the bass
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no, no, no

He takes my hand and leads me to the bar buying drinks
While he's counting on his loose change
He's tripping honest without knowing that I already
Slipped my number in his wallet

I can see you got a heart of gold
Pretty sure the best is yet to know
And I ain't got no defense,
Look you're the sweetest liar I know, I know,
But you ain't never played the bass
You ain't never played the bass

Still the music don't feel like it did when I felt it with you
But you ain't never played the bass
(No, no, no)
You ain't never played the bass
(No, no, no)
Still the music don't feel like it did when I felt it with you

Somebody call a doctor
Call him up quick
Been gettin' to my heart
Then you know me lovesick

But you ain't never played the bass
You ain't never played the bass

Still the music don't feel like it did when I felt it with you
But you ain't never played the bass
You ain't never played the bass

Still the music don't feel like it did when I felt it with you
Somebody call a doctor
Call him up quick
Been gettin' to my heart
Then you know me lovesick.

Nothing left for me to say
There's no more wicked games to play
It's time for me to walk away
I am alright

I feel like I'm on a high
A new beginning that is my life
I'm turning to the rhythm of the night
I am alright

The music is making me grow and
The only thing that keeps me awake is me knowing
There's no one here to break me or bring me down
And no one here to hurt me or fool around

I have no more time for you to hurt my feelings
Done enough to prove I'm all that I believe in
We are at the end, no more stupid lies
I'm better off without you here by my side

So now there is no longer you and I, you and I
You and I, you and I
You and I, you and I
You and I

There is no longer you and I, you and I
You and I, you and I
You and I, you and I
You and I

Don't care what other people say
I know you fool around all day
Now it doesn't hurt me anyway
I am alright

The music is making me grow and
The only thing that keeps me awake is me knowing
There's no one here to break me or bring me down
And no one here to hurt me or fool around

I have no more time for you to hurt my feelings
Done enough to prove I'm all that I believe in
We are at the end, no more stupid lies
I'm better off without you here by my side

So now there is no longer you and I, you and I
You and I, you and I-I-I
You and I, you and I
You and I

There is no longer you and I, you and I (you and I)
You and I, you and I-I-I (I said, you and I, oh)
You and I, you and I
You and I (you and I)

There is no longer you and I, you and I (I said, you and I)
You and I, you and I (oh, yeah, yeah)
You and I, you and I
You and I (you and I).

Men vores evige kamp må stop'

Og det ikke nemt
Det' ikke let
Nej, det ikke nemt med dig
For det' ikke nemt
Det' ikke let
Nej, det ikke nemt med dig.

SKANK
COMPOSITORES: AMARAL FRANCISCO EDUARDO FAGUNDES & ROSA SAMUEL
PAÍS: BRASIL
ÁLBUM: CALANGO
GRAVADORA: CHAOS RECORDS
GÊNERO: BALADA
ANO: 1994

Dentre as músicas há baladas ("Jackie Tequila", "Te Ver", "O Beijo e a Reza"), glorificação do rural ("A Cerca", "Amolação") e crítica social ("Esmola", "Pacato Cidadão").

Funk lá no morro da Mangueira
Essa menina tá dizendo sim, eu sei
Noite bamba, tudo à beça
Baião na rampa do Cruzeiro
Essa menina tá dizendo: Don't worry
Cause everything is gonna be alright
Everything, every tune, will be played by night
Uie-e-oh-oh

Seu nome é Jackie, Jackie, oh
Tequila
Oh Jaqueline Misty-ei-oh
Tequila

Reggae lá no rádio do café
Rapaziada que tiver afim, vai lá
Eu vou ficar com Jackie, ô
Se é que Jackie vai pra lá
E se não for, já foi
O bonde do desejo segue rumo
Caixa bumbo e sexo
Saudade na rampa do mundo, ô!

Seu nome é Jackie, Jackie
Tequila

Vaca, cadela, macaca, gazela

Linda, toda, toda linda ela
Toda beleza se reconhece nela
Jackie Tequila, coca-cola e água
Égua, língua, míngua minha mágoa uôuô-iê
I will say uôuô-iê

Eu disse funk lá no morro da Mangueira
Essa menina tá dizendo sim, eu sei

Baião na rampa do Cruzeiro
Essa menina tá dizendo: Don't worry
Cause everything is gonna be alright
