[Chorus]
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah

[Verse 1]
I don't hear your knock upon my door
I don't have your lovin' anymore
Since you been gone I'm a-hurtin' inside
Well, I want you, baby, by my side, yeah
I'm cryin', I'm cryin'
Hear me cryin', baby
Hear me cryin'

[Chorus]
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah

[Verse 2]
I'm lonely and blue, baby, every night
Yeah, you know you didn't treat me right
And now my tears begin to fall
Well, I want you, baby, and that's all
I'm cryin', I'm cryin'
Hear me cryin', baby
Hear me cryin'
Hear me cryin'

[Chorus]
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah

[Verse 3]
I don't hear your knock upon my door
I don't have your lovin' anymore
Since you been gone I'm hurtin' inside, yeah
Well, I want you, baby, by my side
But I'm cryin', you know I'm cryin'
Hear me cryin', baby
Hear me cryin'
Hear me cryin'

[Chorus]
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah!

BROOKLYN BABY

LANA DEL REY
SONGWRITERS: LANA DEL REY & BARRY O’NEIL

LABEL: POLYDOR RECORDS
GENRE: DREAM POP
YEAR: 2014

Ta-da-da-da-da-da-da
Ta-da-da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da

They say I'm too young to love you
I don't know what I need
They think I don't understand
The freedom land of the seventies

I think I'm too cool to know ya
You say I'm like the ice, I freeze
I'm churnin' out novels like
Beat poetry on Amphetamines

I say
I say

Well, my boyfriend's in a band
He plays guitar while I sing Lou Reed
I've got feathers in my hair
I get down to Beat poetry
And my jazz collection's rare
I can play most anything
I'm a Brooklyn baby
I'm a Brooklyn baby

Ta-da-da-da-da-da-da
Ta-da-da-da-da-da-da
Pa-ta-da-da-da-da

They say I'm too young to love you
They say I'm too dumb to see
They judge me like a picture book
By the colors, like they forgot to read
I think we're like fire and water
I think we're like the wind and sea
You're burnin' up, I'm coolin' down
You're up, I'm down
You're blind, I see

But I'm free, ooh-ooh
I'm free

Well, my boyfriend's in a band
He plays guitar while I sing Lou Reed
I've got feathers in my hair
I get down to Beat poetry
And my jazz collection's rare
I can play most anything
I'm a Brooklyn baby
I'm a Brooklyn baby

I'm talking about my generation
Talking about that newer nation
And if you don't like it, you can beat it
Beat it, baby
You never liked the way I said it
If you don't get it, then forget it
'Cause I don't have to fuckin' explain it

And my boyfriend's in a band
He plays guitar while I sing Lou Reed
I've got feathers in my hair
I get high on hydroponic weed
And my jazz collection's rare
I get down to Beat poetry
I'm a Brooklyn baby
I'm a Brooklyn baby

Pa-da-pa-pa, pa-de-da
Te-de-de, da-da-ah
Ooh-ooh, woah

Yeah, my boyfriend's pretty cool
But he's not as cool as me
'Cause I'm a Brooklyn baby
I'm a Brooklyn baby

Pa-da-da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da, baby
Ah-ta-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da, baby
Pa-da-da-da-da-da
Pa-pa-da-pa-da, yeah
Yeah, yeah!

Posso soltanto deglutire, singhiozzare
Cantare nella testa questo motivo che mi fa
Stare come una gatta
Che guarda dalla finestra (in un vaso)
La luna che cade in un lago dipinto di blu
E ci caschi anche tu

Nel cielo la notte è romântica
Venere bacia Orione
Senza sapere dove
Senza sapere come
Vorrei tu facessi lo stesso
Chiamandomi col mio nome
L'amore attraversa lo spazio
I chilometri, gli anni luce

Ma dimmi come si può stare bene
Anche quando si è lontani
E non sento la tua voce
Ormai da troppe settimane
Dimmi come si può stare vivi
Anche senza respirare

Posso soltanto deglutire, singhiozzare

In the car, cruising around with you
And my baby, you know that I got you
Hit the road, I'm taking off with you
Not in a hurry, there's something about you, oh

Leave the car at the valet (cash only)
Check me in, pop the champagne (Dom Perignon)
Pour me a glass, she's got good taste (so good)
Take off our clothes by the fire place (sexy, yeah)

She looks just like a dream
The prettiest girl I've ever seen
From the cover of a magazine

In the car, cruising around with you
And my baby, you know that I got you
Hit the road, I'm taking off with you
Not in a hurry, there's something about you, oh

We stayed up all night and slept till noon
It's so nice to wake up next to you
Let's start the day with breakfast in bed
Think I'm gonna love you till I'm dead
I can't wait to buy you things
A brand new diamond ring
This is more than just a fling

In the car, cruising around with you
And my baby, you know that I got you
Hit the road, I'm taking off with you
Not in a hurry, there's something about you, oh

There's something about you, girl
There's something about you, oh
Something about you
Something about.
