I'm givin' you the answer
Before you ask the question
You say it sounds too easy
Because you've heard it all before
It's a life changin' story
That time can never alter
And i can tell that it touched you
Though you're walkin' out the door

I keep on sendin' you those cards and letters
I lay it all out on the lines
I keep on tellin' you there's somethin' better
You've gone too far, to leave it behind

Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away when someone loves you
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away when someone cares for you

Your mind won't admit it
But your heart would like to listen
And you can tell in your spirit
That there's no greater love around
Now, it all seems so strange
You're afraid you'll never feel it
Put your faith where your heart is
There's a tribute to be found

I keep on sendin' you those cards and letters
And lay it all out on the lines
I keep on tellin' you there's somethin' better
You've gone too far, to leave it behind

Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away when someone loves you
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away from where you know you should be
The life that you were meant to live
Don't run away from what you know is right!

Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away when someone cares for you
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away when someone loves you
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away
(don't run away)
Don't run away when someone cares for you!!

There's a reason for the sun-shining sky
And there's a reason why I'm feeling so high
Must be the season
When that love light shines all around us

So let that feeling grab you deep inside
And send you reeling where your love can't hide
And then go stealing
Through the moonlit nights with your lover

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you'll know what I mean
It's the season
Let your love fly like a bird on a wing
And let your love bind you to all living things
And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean
That's the reason

There's a reason for the warm sweet nights
And there's a reason for the candlelights
Must be the season
When those love rights shine all around us

So let that wonder take you into space
And lay you under its loving embrace
Just feel the thunder
As it warms your face, you can't hold back

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you'll know what I mean
It's the season
Let your love fly like a bird on a wing
And let your love bind you to all living things
And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean
That's the reason

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you'll know what I mean
It's the season
Let your love fly like a bird on a wing
And let your love bind you to all living things
And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean
That's the reason

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams.

Do what I want 'cause I can and if I don't, because I wanna
Be ignored by the stiff and the bored, because I'm gonna
Spit and retrieve 'cause I give and receive, because I wanna
Gonna get through your head, what the mystery man said, because I'm gonna

Hate to say I told you so, all right!
Come on!
Do believe I told you so
Now it's all out and you know
'Cause I wanted to!

Turn my back on the rot that's been planning the plot, because I'm gonna
No need for me to wait, because I wanna
No need 2, 3, too late, because I'm gonna.

Hate to say I told you so, all right!
Come on!
Do believe I told you so

Do what I please, gonna spread the disease, because I wanna
Gonna call all the shots for the no's and the not's, because I wanna
Yeah

Ask me once I'll answer twice
'Cause what I know I'll tell, because I wanna
Sound advice and lots of ice, I'll spell my name out loud, because I wanna
Oh, yeah!

STANDING WITH ANGELS

ANDERS OSBORNE
SONGWRITER: ANDERS OSBORNE
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: AMERICAN PATCHWORK ALBUM
LABEL: ALLIGATOR RECORDS
GENRE: ROCK
YEAR: 2010

Anders Osborne(born May 4, 1966 in Uddevalla, Sweden) is an American singer-songwriter. He tours solo and with a band, and often plays in North Mississippi Osborne
(N.M.O), a group formed by Osborne and North Mississippi Allstars.
As a teen, Osborne started playing guitar and listening to Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, and Joni Mitchell records. He was influenced by the vocal styles of Ray Charles, Van Morrison and Lowell George, Robert Johnson and recordings of African drumming. "Blues connected everything together for me," Osborne recalls. "The early rock, the R&B, the jazz, the singer-songwriters. Blues was like a thread running through everything." He began playing in Open D tuning, which gives his fretwork a signature sound and feel. "I first heard Open D on Joni Mitchell's Blue," he says, "and my fingers just fit the tuning."
Standing with angels now
you didn't go gently
into the night
Standing with the Maker now
You're done raging
against the light
Standing with angels now

All your troubles have turned
Least we have the memories
Living caused you too much hurt
The pain you had has set you free
Yeah you're free now

Standing with angels now
you didn't go gently into the night
Standing with the maker now
You're done raging against the light
Standing with angels now

Things round here don't change
Still tryin' to do too much
Without you it ain't the same
But it helps to know that you're watching us
Yeah you're watching us

Standing with angels now
you didn't go gently into the night
Standing with the maker now
You're done raging against the light
Standing with angels now

Standing with angels now
Standing with angels now
Standing with angels now
Standing with angels now
Standing with angels now
Yeah, standing with angels now
Standing with angels now
Standing with angels now.
