She said of her style, "I've gone through all sorts of vocal phases, from pop to blues to R&B, but no matter what I do, I just can't get the country and western out of my voice."
Bear Creek is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile. The album was released June 5, 2012, through Columbia Records. The album was produced by Grammy Award winner Trina Shoemaker. The title of the album refers to the Bear Creek Studio at which the majority of the album was recorded.

Hang on, just hang on for a minute
I've got something to say
I'm not asking you to move on or forget it
But these are better days
To be wrong all along and admit is not amazing grace
But to be loved like a song you remember
Even when you've changed

Tell me did I go on a tangent?
Did I lie through my teeth?
Did I cause you to stumble on your feet?
Did I bring shame on my family?
Did it show when I was weak?
Whatever you see, that wasn't me
That wasn't me, that wasn't me

When you're lost you will toss every lucky coin you'll ever trust
And you'll hide from your god like he never turns his back on us
And you'll fall all the way to the bottom and land on your own knife
And you'll learn who you are even if it doesn't take your life

Tell me did I go on a tangent?
Did I lie through my teeth?
Did I cause you to stumble on your feet?
Did I bring shame on my family?
Did it show when I was weak?
Whatever you see, that wasn't me
That wasn't me, that wasn't me

But I want you to know that you'll never be alone
I wanna believe do I make myself a blessing to everyone I meet
When you fall I will get you on your feet
Do I spend time with my family?
Did it show when I was weak?
When that's what you see, that will be me
That will be me, that will be me
That will be me.

Virando dias e noites
Rodando de bar em bar
Perdido no labirinto
Podia ser o destino ou não
Tinha que arriscar, eu sei

Virando a vida ao avesso
Tentando me encontrar
Quebrava meus próprios sonhos
Queria o meu destino na mão
Queria demais, talvez

A gente vive pra mudar
Quando quer
É só a vida dizer sim

Perdido em plena floresta
Morrendo de sede no mar
Mensagem numa garrafa
Talvez alcance a praia ou não
Talvez nunca mais, talvez

Ninguém prevê o futuro
Nem sabe se vai encontrar
Talvez uma luz no escuro
Talvez o escuro e nada mais
Ninguém saberá, eu sei

A gente vive pra mudar
Quando quer
É só a vida dizer sim

A gente vive pra mudar
Quando quer
É só a vida dizer sim

A gente vive pra mudar
É só a vida.

Rio de Janeiro
Gosto de você
Gosto de quem gosta desse céu
Desse mar

Quero do meu Rio de Janeiro de janeiro a cor
Nas montanhas verdes e no verde quero me deitar
Passeando nestes tons de azul
Entregando as noites de luar
Quero só te amar
Quero te ter
I'll see you in Rio de Janeiro
Gosto de você
Gosto de quem gosta desse céu
Desse mar

Quero do meu Rio de Janeiro de janeiro a cor
Nas montanhas verdes e no verde quero me deitar
Passeando nestes tons de azul
Entregando as noites de luar
Quero só te amar
Quero te ter Rio

Quero do meu Rio de Janeiro ser o teu calor
Nessas praias lindas e nas ondas quero viajar
E não ter momento de partir
Só poder ter tempo de chegar
Quero só te amar
Quero te ver
I'll see you in Rio

Tom é bom
O Sol que beija o corpo
Da morena alegre
Que caminha no compasso de um samba
O seu passo eu vou entrando
Coração que vai batendo
Na avenida carioca
Meu irmão
Rio aqui estou
E dessa vez é pra cantar

I'll see you in Rio
I'll see you in Rio

Tom é bom
O Sol que beija o corpo
Da morena alegre
Que caminha no compasso de um samba
O seu passo eu vou entrando
Coração que vai batendo
Na avenida carioca
Meu irmão
Rio aqui estou
E dessa vez é pra cantar

I'll see you in Rio
I'll see you in Rio
I'll see you in Rio
I'll see you in Rio.

SCORPIONS
SONGWRITERS: RUDOLF SCHENKER & KLAUS MEINE
COUNTRY: GERMANY
ALBUM: TAKEN BY FORCE
LABEL: EMI RECORDS
GENRE: ROCK
YEAR: 1977

Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal, glam metal, and soft rock. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine(vocals), Rudolf Schenker(rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz(bass), and Herman Rarebell(drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth(who replaced Schenker's younger brother Michael) part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After Roth's departure in 1978, Schenker and Meine managed to take control of the group, giving them almost all the power to compose music and write lyrics. Matthias Jabs joined in 1978, and with the melodic rock he played and the influence of producer Dieter Dierks in the band, the Scorpions changed their sound to melodic heavy metal mixed with lyrical "power rock ballads", which is evident in the album Lovedrive(1979), which began the evolution of the band's sound, developed later in several of their albums. Over the next decade, the band achieved influence, approval from music critics, and significant commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism(1980), Blackout(1982), Love at First Sting(1984), the live recording World Wide Live(1985), Savage Amusement(1988), their best-selling compilation Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads(1989), and Crazy World(1990), all awarded at least one platinum award in the United States. The band has released twelve consecutive studio albums that were in the top 10 in Germany, one of which reached Nº 1, as well as three consecutive albums that were in the top 10 in the Billboard 200 in the United States. Their latest studio album, Rock Believer, was released in February 2022.
Taken by Force is the fifth studio album by German band Scorpions, released by RCA Records in 1977. This was the first Scorpions album to feature drummer Herman Rarebell and the final studio album to feature guitarist Uli Jon Roth. Roth left the band in 1978 following the end of the album's tour, and was at first replaced by Michael Schenker and later by Matthias Jabs.
How does it feel babe
To taste sweet revenge?
Do you want me on my knees?
How does it feel babe
To let me feel your strength?
Don't be cruel, can't you see?

If you don't catch me now
I can't stop falling down
Just one more night and the devil got my soul
I need your love babe, don't tell me "No way"
Babe, I miss you so much more than words can say

How does it feel babe
To kill our destiny?
I swear I'm not gonna crawl, oh no
How does it feel babe
To make a fool out of me?
How can you be so cold?
Be so cold

If you don't catch me now
I can't stop falling down
Just one more night and the devil got my soul
I need your love babe, don't treat me this way
Ooh I miss you, I miss you

Baby our love's got what it takes
To give us one more chance to start
Once again
Baby our love will find a way
As long as we believe in love

If you don't catch me now
I can't stop falling down
Just one more night and the devil got my soul
I need your love babe, don't leave me this way
Ooh I miss you, I miss you

Baby our love's got what it takes
To give us one more chance to start
Once again
Baby our love will find a way
As long as we believe in love
As long as we believe (we believe)

Baby our love's got what it takes
To give us one more chance to start
Once again
Baby our love will find a way
As long as we believe in love

Baby our love's got what it takes
To give us one more chance to start
Once again
Baby our love will find a way
As long as we believe in love

Baby our love's got what it takes
To give us one more chance to start.
