Deborah Ann Gibson(born August 31, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, record producer and actress.
Gibson released her debut album Out of the Blue in 1987, which spawned several international hits, later being certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. One of those singles, "Foolish Beat", made Gibson the youngest female artist to write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 number-one single. Her double-platinum second album Electric Youth(1989), gave Gibson another U.S. number-one hit with "Lost in Your Eyes". Gibson is the sole songwriter on all of her singles to reach the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. She was recognized by ASCAP as Songwriter of the Year, along with Bruce Springsteen, in 1989.
Gibson continued to record and release music throughout the 1990s and 2000s. In 2006, she reached number 24 on the U.S. adult contemporary chart with "Say Goodbye", a duet with Jordan Knight, and in 2017 achieved her highest-charting hit in more than 25 years in her duet with Sir Ivan, "I Am Peaceman". Gibson's 2020 single "Girls Night Out" became her first top five and highest-charting hit after 30 years

I get lost in your eyes
And I feel my spirits rise
And soar like the wind
Is it love that I am in?

I get weak, in a glance
Isn't this what's called romance?
And now I know
'Cause, when I'm lost I can let go

I don't mind not knowin' what I'm heading for
You can take me to the skies
It's like being lost in heaven
When I'm lost in your eyes

I just fell, don't know why
Something's there we can't deny
And when I first knew
Was when I first looked at you

And if I can't find my way
If salvation is words away
Oh, I'll be found
When I am lost in your eyes

I don't mind not knowin' what I'm heading for
You can take me to the skies
Oh, it's like being lost in heaven
When I'm lost in your eyes

I get weak in a glance
Isn't this what's called romance?
Oh, I'll be found
When I am lost in your eyes.

PAUL YOUNG
SONGWRITERS: P. Young & I. Kewley
COUNTRY: U, K,
ALBUM: THE SECRET OF ASSOCIATION
LABEL: COLUMBIA RECORDS
GENRE: SOUL
YEAR: 1985

Paul Antony Young(born 17 January 1956) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. Formerly the frontman of the short-lived bands Kat Kool & the Kool Cats, Streetband and Q-Tips, he became a teen idol with his solo success in the 1980s. His hit singles include "Love of the Common People", "Wherever I Lay My Hat", "Come Back and Stay", "Every Time You Go Away" and "Everything Must Change", all reaching the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. Released in 1983, his debut album, No Parlez, the first of three UK number-one albums, made him a household name. His smooth yet soulful voice belonged to a genre known as "blue-eyed soul". At the 1985 Brit Awards, Young received the award for Best British Male. Associated with the Second British Invasion of the US, "Every Time You Go Away" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. It also won Best British Video at the 1986 Brit Awards.
In July 1985, Young appeared at Live Aid held at Wembley Stadium, London, performing the Band Aid hit "Do They Know It's Christmas?" (having sung the opening lines on the original single release) and his own hits "Come Back and Stay" and "Every Time You Go Away", with Alison Moyet joining him on stage to perform "That's The Way Love Is". Since the mid-1990s, Young has performed with his band Los Pacaminos.
The Secret of Association is the second studio album by the English singer Paul Young. Released in 1985, it reached number one on the UK album charts and the Top 20 in the US. The album spawned the hit singles "Everytime You Go Away", "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down", "Everything Must Change" and "Tomb of Memories".
The album has been certified Double Platinum (600,000 copies sold) by the BPI in the UK and Gold (500,000 copies sold) in the US by the RIAA.
The album followed the pattern of Young's debut album, No Parlez, combining cover versions with original songs written by Young and keyboard player Ian Kewley. However, on this album the Young/Kewley partnership was better represented with five of their compositions featuring.

I was never one to back out of an argument and say I was wrong,
Even when I'd seen the other side
I'd hide my foolishness and carry on
But still I'd be embarrassed
'Cos they'd see what happened and they's play along
Until I back myself into a corner
I would only realise when they had gone

And like a dream, a life, a reason,
Everything must change
(Everything, Everything Must Change)
And like a world, this earth and seasons
Everything must change
(Everything, Everything Must Change)

In the same way when we disagree
I woudn't be the one to back down
Still I'd know that you had faith in me
Tell me something, am I letting you down?
'Cos when I woke up and
I saw the note you pressed into the mirror frame
But it was easy to be angry at you
But deep inside I know we share the blame

And like a dream, a life, a reason,
Everything must change
(Everything, Everything Must Change)
And like a world, this earth and seasons,
Everything must change
(Everything, Everything Must Change)

I'm going back to the top to start myself off
But first of all somethings I
Need to know
When I'm scared of being wrong again,
Won't you be the one I turn to to let
Me know, oh, let me know, oh
Please, let me be right for once
'Cos right now all I feel I do is wrong
And it's never too late to learn about love
And this victim needs your hand
To hold on

And like a dream, a life, a reason,
Everything must change
(Everything, Everything Must Change)
And like a world, this earth and seasons,
Everything must change
(Everything, Everything Must Change)

And like a dream, a life, a reason,
Everything must change
And like a world, this earth and seasons,
Everything must change
(Everything Must Change, Everything Must Change)
And like a dream, a life, a reason,
Everything must change
And like a world, this earth and seasons,
Everything must change...

The whispers in the morning
Of lovers sleeping tight
Are rolling by like thunder now
As I look in your eyes

I hold on to your body
And feel each move you make
Your voice is warm and tender
A love that I could not forsake

'Cause you are my lady
And I am your man
Whenever you reach for me
I'll do all that I can

Lost is how I'm feeling
Lying in your arms
When the world outside's too much to take
That all ends when I'm with you

Even though there may be times
It seems I'm far away
Never wonder where I am
'Cause I am always by your side

'Cause you are my lady
And I am your man
Whenever you reach for me
I'll do all that I can

We're heading for something
Somewhere I've never been
Sometimes I am frightened
But I'm ready to learn of the power of love

The sound of your heart beating
Made it clear suddenly
The feeling that I can't go on
Is light years away

We're heading for something
Somewhere I've never been
Sometimes I am frightened
But I'm ready to learn of the power of love

We're heading for something
Somewhere I've never been
Sometimes I am frightened
But I'm ready to learn of the power of love

We're heading for something
Somewhere I've never been
Sometimes I am frightened
But I'm ready to learn of the power of love.

My famous last words
Are laying around in tatters
Sounding absurd
Whatever I try
But Ilove you
And that's all what really matters
If this is goodbye
If this is goodbye

Your bright shining sun
Would light up the way before me
You were the one
Made me feel I could fly
And I love you
Whatever is waiting for me
If this is goodbye
If this is goodbye

Who knows how long we've got
Or what we're made of
Who knows if there's plan or not
There is our love
I know there is our love

My famous last words
Could never tell the story
Spinning unheard
In the dark of the sky
But I ove you
And this is our glory
If this is goodbye
If this is goodbye
If this is goodbye
If this is goodbye.
