AUDIOSLAVE
SONGWRITERS: BRAD WILK; CHRIS CORNELL; TIMOTHY
COMMERFORD & TOM MORELLO
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: OUT OF EXILE
LABEL: GEFFEN RECORDS
GENRE: HARD ROCK
YEAR: 2005
Audioslave was an American rocksupergroupformed in Glendale, California,
in 2001. The four-piece band consisted of Soundgarden's
lead singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornellwith Rage Against
the Machinemembers Tom Morello(lead
guitar), Tim Commerford(bass/backing vocals), and Brad Wilk(drums).
Critics first described Audioslave as a combination of Soundgarden and Rage
Against the Machine, but by the band's second album, Out of Exile, it was
noted that they had established a separate identity. Their unique sound was
created by blending 1970s hard rockand
1990s alternative rock, with
musical influences that included 1960s funk, souland R&B. As with
Rage Against the Machine, the band prided themselves on the fact that all
sounds on their albums were produced using only guitars, bass, drums, and
vocals, with emphasis on Cornell's wide vocal rangeand Morello's unconventional guitar solos.
In their six years together, Audioslave
released three albums, received three Grammynominations, sold more than eight million records worldwide and
became the first American rock band to perform an open-air concert in Cuba. They disbanded in February 2007
after Cornell issued a statement announcing that he was leaving the band. Later
that year, Cornell and Morello released solo albums, and Morello, Commerford,
and Wilk reunited with Zack de la Rochafor the Rage Against the Machine Reunion Tour.
Audioslave reunited to perform at Prophets of Rage's
Anti-Inaugural Ball, which took place on January 20, 2017. Cornell's death later that year
precluded any chance of further reunions.
Out of Exile is the second studio album by
American rocksupergroupAudioslave. It was
released on May 23, 2005 internationally and a day later in the United States, by Epic Recordsand Interscope Records.
It is the band's only album to chart at number one on the Billboard 200chart. Four
singles were released from the album, which were "Be Yourself", "Your Time Has Come", "Doesn't Remind Me", and "Out of
Exile". "Doesn't Remind Me" was nominated for a Grammy Awardfor Best Hard Rock Performanceat the 48th Grammy Awardsin 2006.
Someone falls to
pieces
Sleeping all alone
Someone kills the pain
Spinning in the silence
She finally drift away
Someone gets excited
In a chapel yard
Catches a bouquet
Another lays a dozen
White roses on a grave
And be yourself is
all that you can do
To be yourself is all that you can do
Someone finds
salvation in everyone
Another only pain
Someone tries to hide themselves
Down inside himself he prays
Someone swears their true love
Until the end of time
Another runs away
separate or united?
Healthy or insane?
And be yourself is
all that you can do (all that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can do (all that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can do (all that you can do)
Be yourself is all that you can do
Even when you've paid
enough
Been pulled apart
Or been held up
Every single memory of
The good or bad, faces of love
Don't lose any sleep tonight
I'm sure everything will end up alright
You may win or lose
But to be yourself is
all that you can do
To be yourself is all that you can do
To be yourself is all that you can do (all that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can do (all that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can
Be yourself is all that you can
Be yourself is all that you can do.

Pierino Ronald "Perry" Como(/ˈkoʊmoʊ/; May 18,
1912 – May 12, 2001) was an American singer, actor and television personality.
During a career spanning more than half a century, he recorded exclusively for RCA Victorfor 44
years, after signing with the label in 1943.
He recorded primarily vocal pop and was
renowned for recordings in the intimate, easy-listening genre pioneered by
multi-media star Bing Crosby.
"Mr.
C.", as he was nicknamed, sold millions of records and pioneered a weekly
musical variety television show. His weekly television shows and seasonal
specials were broadcast throughout the world. In the
official RCA Records Billboard
magazinememorial, his life was summed up in
these few words: "50 years of music and a life well lived. An example to
all."
Como received five Emmysfrom 1955 to
1959, and a Christopher Awardin 1956. He also shared a Peabody Awardwith good friend Jackie Gleason in 1956. He was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & SciencesHall of Fame in 1990 and received a Kennedy

Music Hall of Famein 2006. He has the
distinction of having three stars on the Hollywood
Walk of Famefor his work in radio, television,
and music
And I Love You So was Perry Como's21st
12" long-play album released by RCA Records.
As with It's
Impossible, this album was issued to
feature a surprise hit single, Don McLean's "And I Love
You So". Como brought the song to the national top 40 (Number One
Easy Listening). Previous versions of the song by Bobby Goldsboroand Bobby Vintonhad met
with mild or no success. Como's version was so successful, RCA asked him to record
the song in Spanish. When Como said he didn't speak
the language, he received personal Spanish lessons from the head of RCA
International to get the record made. As in recent Como LP's, this collection
features selections from then contemporary recording artists such as Roberta Flack, The Carpenters, Ray Price,
Tony Orlando
and Dawn, Breadand Mac Davis. The
album was among the last to be produced by Chet Atkinsbefore he stepped down from his executive position at RCA's
Nashville studios.
And I love you so
The people ask me how
How I've lived till now
I tell them I don't know
I guess they
understand
How lonely life has been
But life began again
The day you took my hand
And yes, I know how
lonely life can be
The shadows follow me 'n' the night won't set me free
But I don't let the evening get me down
Now that you're around me
And you love me, too
Your thoughts are just for me
You set my spirit free
I'm happy that you do
The book of life is
brief
And once a page is read
All but life is dead
That is my belief
And yes, I know how
lonely life can be
The shadows follow me and the night won't set me free
But I don't let the evening get me down
Now that you're around me.

It's twelve o'clock
and it's a wonderful day
I know you hate me but I'll ask anyway
Won't you come with me to a place in a little town
The only way to get there's to go straight down
There's no bathroom and there is no sink
The water out of the tap is very hard to drink
Very hard to drink
You wait til tomorrow
You wait til tomorrow
You say that money
isn't everything
But I'd like to see you live without it,
You think you can keep on going living like a king,
