Christina Judith Perri(born August 19, 1986) is an American singer and songwriter. After her debut single "Jar of Hearts" was featured on the television series So You Think You Can Dance in 2010, Perri signed with Atlantic Records and released her debut extended play, The Ocean Way Sessions. Her debut studio album, Lovestrong(2011), followed soon after and has since been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America(RIAA).
Perri also gained recognition for writing and recording "A Thousand Years", the love theme for the film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2(2012), which appears on the accompanying soundtrack. The song went on to sell over 10 million copies in the United States, being certified Diamond, and the official music video reached two billion views on YouTube in December 2021. She later released her second extended play, A Very Merry Perri Christmas(2012), followed by her second studio album, Head or Heart(2014). After recording the lullaby albums Songs for Carmella(2019) and Songs for Rosie(2021), Perri released her third studio album, A Lighter Shade of Blue(2022).
Perri was born in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. She is of Italian and Polish descent, and has called her family "very Italian". She has an older brother, Nick Perri, who formerly played guitar with Shinedown, Silvertide, Perry Farrell and Matt Sorum and cousin Dominic Perri.
She graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 2004 and later attended the University of the Arts. She taught herself how to play guitar as a 16-year-old by watching a videotape of Shannon Hoon from the group Blind Melon performing on VH1. In college she majored in communication for a year before dropping out to pursue a music career.
She frequently sang and acted in musical theater as a child. Perri claims to have learned to play piano and guitar because she missed hearing music being played in the house when she moved away. According to Perri, whenever she played the guitar or piano, she would sing and "all of a sudden these songs would appear."
Christina Perri has been waiting what feels like a thousand years to dedicate her voice to a daughter.
While the "Jar of Hearts" singer may have taken a momentary hiatus from putting out new tunes after the release of her 2014 album Head or Heart, it turns out she had signed her voice over to motherhood. Perri and her husband Paul Costabile welcomed their first child, a daughter named Carmella Stanley, on Jan. 17, shortly after they tied the knot on Dec. 12, 2017, in New York City.
Using her experience with becoming a mother to “tiptoe back into working and putting out new music,” Perri, 32, is announcing her latest and greatest project: a lullaby album.
“Putting out new songs that I sang to her all year feels so authentic and genuine as to where I’m at in my real life. I am a huge fan of when people are authentic of where people are at,” she tells PEOPLE about her album Songs for Carmella: Lullabies & Sing-a-Longs, which is set to be released on Carmella’s first birthday.
“I just didn’t want to jump into a new project that wasn’t related to how amazing my life is right now due to my daughter,” she adds. “That’s the biggest and best thing that’s ever happened to me, so I didn’t want to pretend that didn’t happen.”
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sunshine away

The other night, dear
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you
In my arms
When I awoke, dear
I was mistaken
So I hung my head and I cried

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sunshine away.

GRAVADORA: BRASIL records
GÊNERO: MÚSICA NORDESTINA
ANO: 2019

A porta vai tá sempre aberta
O meu olhar vai dar uma festa
Na hora que você chegar

E de uma coisa fique certa, amor
A porta vai tá sempre aberta
O meu olhar vai dar uma festa, amor
Na hora que você chegar
Na hora que você chegar

Sei que errei, tô aqui pra te pedir perdão
Cabeça doida, coração na mão
Desejo pegando fogo

A porta vai tá sempre aberta
O meu olhar vai dar uma festa
Na hora que você chegar

E de uma coisa fique certa, amor
A porta vai tá sempre aberta
O meu olhar vai dar uma festa
Na hora que você chegar

Na hora que você chegar
Na hora que você chegar
Na hora que você chegar.

TRAIGO LA VOZ

ROBERTO REY
COMPOSITOR: ORLANDO CORONADO
PAIS: GUATEMALA

SCORPIONS
SONGWRITERS: MEINE KLAUS & SCHENKER RUDOLF
COUNTRY: GERMANY
ALBUM: LOVEDRIVE
LABEL: BREEZE MUSIC
GENRE: HEAVY METAL
YEAR: 1979

Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal to soft rock. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell(drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth (who replaced Schenker's younger brother Michael) part of the lineup, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After Roth's departure in 1978, Schenker and Meine managed to take control of the group, giving them almost all the power to compose music and write lyrics. Matthias Jabs joined in 1978, and with the melodic rock he played and the influence of producer Dieter Dierks in the band, the Scorpions changed their sound to melodic heavy metal mixed with lyrical "power rock ballads", which is evident in the album Lovedrive(1979), which began the evolution of the band's sound, with recording a developed later in several of their albums. Michael Schenker also played on the Lovedrive album. Over the next decade, the band achieved influence, approval from music critics, and significant commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism (1980), Blackout(1982), Love at First Sting(1984), the live recording World Wide Live(1985), Savage Amusement(1988), their best-selling compilation Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads(1989), and Crazy World(1990), all awarded at least one platinum award in the United States. The band has released thirteen consecutive studio albums that were in the top 10 in Germany, one of which reached Nº 1, as well as three consecutive albums that were in the top 10 in the Billboard 200 in the United States. Their latest studio album, Rock Believer, was released in February 2022.
Lovedrive is the sixth studio album by German band Scorpions, released in 1979. Considered by some critics to be the pinnacle of their career, Lovedrive was a major evolution of the band's sound, exhibiting their "classic style" that would be later developed over their next few albums. Lovedrive cemented the "Scorpions formula" of hard rock songs combined with melodic ballads.
Lovedrive was the band’s first album to be released by Harvest Records in Europe and Mercury Records in the United States and Canada following the band's departure from RCA. It proved to be a major commercial breakthrough, reaching Nº 55 on the Billboard Top 200, which none of their previous five albums had dented at all. The RIAA certified the record as Gold on 28 May 1986, and the album also proved a breakthrough in the United Kingdom where it was the first Scorpions album to chart and peaked at Nº 36.
Lovedrive ranked Nº 25 on IGN's 2007 list of the Top 25 metal albums.
Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday
Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday
Exchange the cold days for the sun
Good times and fun

Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday

Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday
Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday
Exchange your troubles for some love
Wherever you are

Let me take you far away
You'd like a holiday

Longing for the sun you will come
To the island without name
Longing for the sun be welcome
On the island many miles away from home
Be welcome on the island without name
Longing for the sun you will come

To the island many miles away from home
Away from home.
