Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal, and glam metal. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine(vocals), Rudolf Schenker(rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs(lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After the departure of Roth in 1978 and short-lived reunion with Schenker's brother Michael, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards hard rock/heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. Throughout the 1980s the group received positive reviews and critical acclaim from music critics, and experienced commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism(1980), Blackout(1982), Love at First Sting(1984), the live recording World Wide Live(1985), Savage Amusement(1988) and Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads(1989), which is their best-selling compilation album.
Scorpions' eleventh studio álbum Crazy World(1990) was also well-received, and included the song "Wind of Change", a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is one of the best-selling singles in the world with over fourteen million copies sold. Scorpions have sold over 110 million records in total. They have released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. Six of their singles have reached number one on the charts in different countries. Their albums, singles, compilations and video releases have reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum status 200 times in different countries
Born to Touch Your Feelings: Best of Rock Ballads is a compilation album by German rock band Scorpions. It includes the most popular Scorpions ballads, with a brand new acoustic studio version of the song "Send Me an Angel", a new full band studio version of the song "Follow Your Heart" and two brand new songs "Melrose Avenue" and "Always Be with You" that were written specifically for this compilation.

Have you ever climbed the mountain?
Have you ever crossed the sea?
Take a look around the corner
And listen to your heartbeat

Have you ever touched the rainbow?
Take a ride on a ferris wheel
It takes one step to start a journey
It's up to you to make it real

This is the time for yourself to be free
You gotta follow your heart
This is the time in your life and it's never too late
To see the light in the dark
You gotta follow your heart

Walking far away horizons
You will never walk alone
You'll be at home where your heart is
A million miles away from home

This is the time for yourself to be free
You gotta follow your heart
This is the time in your life and it's never too late
To see the light in the dark
You gotta follow your heart

Show me the way, who knows the way?
This is the only road to go
Life brings me down, life takes me up
And only, only Heaven knows

This is the time for yourself to be free
You gotta follow your heart
This is the time in your life and it's never too late
To see the light in the dark
You gotta follow your heart
You gotta follow your heart.

The song was included on Adams' Waking Up the Neighbours(1991), a worldwide number 1 album that sold 16 million copies, including being certified diamond in Canada. Other international Top-10 hits off the album were the Canadian number 1 songs "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" and "Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven". Beginning in 1993, Adams' hits were mostly ballads, including the worldwide number 1 or 2 hits: "Please Forgive Me"; "All for Love" (1993); and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" (1995), the latter two topping the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
In 1996, Adams' 18 til I Die was a Top 5 album in many countries, but only reached number 31 in the US. He did duets with Barbra Streisand("I Finally Found Someone" (1996), his last US Top-10 hit) and Melanie C("When You're Gone" (1998), an international Top 5 hit). In the 1990s, Adams had six European Radio Airplay number 1 songs for 32 weeks, the fourth and third most, respectively; and three number 1 songs on the European Sales Chart for 29 weeks total, the most weeks of any artist. Since 1999, Adams released seven albums, three reaching number 1 in Canada, and most reaching the Top 10 in the UK, Germany and elsewhere.
"When You're Gone" is a song by Canadian musician Bryan Adams, featuring English singer-songwriter Melanie Chisholm, known professionally as Melanie C. The song was released on November 30, 1998, by A&M Records as the second single from Adams' eighth studio album, On a Day Like Today(1998), and is Chisholm's debut single outside of the Spice Girls. Adams requested for Chisholm to be included after his original choice Sheryl Crow never responded.
"When You're Gone" was written by Eliot Kennedy and Adams, the latter songwriter also produced the song with Bob Rock. It contains genres of pop rock and soft rock, and is performed as a duet between Adams and Chisholm. "When You're Gone" peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart and at number four on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. An accompanying music video was released by German film director Marcus Nispel, which depicts Adams and Chisholm inside a three-story nine room house.
I've been wandering around the house all night
Wondering what the hell to do
Yeah, I'm trying to concentrate
But all I can think of is you

Well the phone don't ring
'Cause my friends ain't home
I'm tired of being all alone
Got the TV on 'cause the radio's playing
Songs that remind me of you

CHORUS:
Baby when you're gone
I realise i'm in love
Days go on and on
And the nights just seem so long
Even food don't taste that good
Drink ain't doing what it should
Things just feel so wrong
Baby when you're gone

I keep driving up and down these streets
Trying to find somewhere to go
Yeah I'm looking for a familiar face
But there's no one I know
Oh, this is torture, this is pain
It feels like i'm gonna go insane
I hope you're coming back real soon,
'Cause I don't know what to do

CHORUS:
Baby when you're gone
I realise i'm in love
Days go on and on
And the nights just seem so long
Even food don't taste that good
Drink ain't doing what it should
Things just feel so wrong
Baby when you're gone

CHORUS:
Baby when you're gone
I realise i'm in love
Days go on and on
And the nights just seem so long
Even food don't taste that good
Drink ain't doing what it should
Things just feel so wrong
Baby when you're gone.

Trouble is her only friend
And he's back again
Makes her body older
Than it really is
She says it's high time she went away
No one's got much to say in this town
Trouble is the only way is down
Down, down

As strong as you were
Tender you go
I'm watching you breathing
For the last time
A song for your heart
But when it is quiet
I know what it means
And I'll carry you home
I'll carry you home

If she had wings she would fly away
And another day God will give her some
Trouble is the only way is down
Down, down

As strong as you were
Tender you go
I'm watching you breathing
For the last time
A song for your heart
But when it is quiet
I know what it means
And I'll carry you home
I'll carry you home

And they were all born pretty in New York City tonight
And someone's little girl was taken from the world tonight
Under the Stars and Stripes

As strong as you were
Tender you go
I'm watching you breathing
For the last time
A song for your heart
But when it is quiet
I know what it means
And I'll carry you home
I'll carry you home

As strong as you were
Tender you go
I'm watching you breathing
For the last time
A song for your heart
But when it is quiet
I know what it means
And I'll carry you home
I'll carry you home.

YEAR: 2015

Coldplay are a British rock band formed in London in 1996. Vocalist, rhythm guitarist and pianist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion met at University College London and began playing music together from 1996 to 1998, first calling themselves Pectoralz and then Starfish before finally changing their name to Coldplay. Their creative director and former manager Phil Harvey is considered the fifth member of the band.
After changing their name to Coldplay, the band recorded and released two EPs, Safety in 1998 and The Blue Room in 1999, the latter was their first release under a major record label, Parlophone. Coldplay achieved worldwide fame with the release of the song "Yellow" in 2000, followed in the same year by their debut album Parachutes, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The band's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head(2002), was released to critical acclaim. Their next record, X&Y, was the best-selling album worldwide of 2005. While the Brian Eno-produced fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends(2008) was the best-selling album of said year and earned the band three Grammy Awards. In 2011, Coldplay released their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, which topped the charts in over 34 countries and was the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011. The band have since released Ghost Stories(2014), A Head Full of Dreams(2015) and Everyday Life(2019).
Coldplay have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. They have won numerous awards throughout their career, including nine Brit Awards, seven MTV Video Music Awards, eight MTV Europe Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards from 35 nominations. The band's first three albums—Parachutes(2000), A Rush of Blood to the Head(2002), and X&Y(2005) — are among the best-selling albums in UK chart history.
"Everglow" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It is the fourth track from their seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams. It features uncredited guest vocals by Gwyneth Paltrow, who at the time was married to Chris Martin despite their separation being announced in 2014. The track premiered during Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show on 26 November 2015 and was originally released as a promotional single for the album on 27 November 2015.
On 11 November 2016, however, the song was released as the fourth official single from the album through a newly recorded stripped-down version, which was inspired by Martin's unrehearsed solo performance of the song at the recente Glastonbury Festival. This recording ends with a sample of Muhammad Ali's 1977 speech in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The track revolves around a heartfelt piano riff and was written in the key of C# Minor at 73 BPM and a chord progression that alternates between C#m-A-E-G#m7 and C#m-A-E-B
Oh, they say people come
They say people go
This particular diamond
Was extra special

And though you might be gone
And the world may not know
Still I see you celestial

Like a lion you ran, a goddess you rolled
Like an eagle you circled, in perfect purple
So how come things move on? How come cars don’t slow?
When it feels like the end of my world
And I should, but I can't let it go

But when I'm cold, cold
When I'm cold, cold
There's a light that you give me
When I'm in shadow
There's a feeling you give me, an everglow

Like brothers in blood
Sisters who ride
Yeah, we swore on that night
We'd be friends 'til we die

But the changing of winds
And the way waters flow
Life as short as the falling of snow
And now I'm gonna miss you, I know

But when I'm cold, cold
In water rolled, salt
I know you're always with me
And the way you will show
And you're with me wherever I go
'Cause you give me this feeling, this everglow

Oh, what I would give for just a moment to hold
Yeah, I live for this feeling, this everglow
So if you love someone
You should let them know
Oh, the light that you give me will everglow.
