As músicas "Breakin' Up Is Hard To Do" e "Calendar Girl", esta última de 1961 e a primeira de 1962, além de "Laughter in the Rain" são outros sucessos do cantor.
The Hungry Years is an album by Neil Sedaka, the title of which is an eponymous track from the album. It was released by The Rocket Record Company in 1975.
The album is the American edition of Overnight Success, with two songs being replaced.
"Bad Blood," a duet with Elton John, hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, was certified gold, and was the most commercially successful single of his career; his followup, a slowed-down, bluesy remake of his 1962 #1 smash "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," hit #8 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart over December 1975-January 1976. "The Queen of 1964," from his British-released Overnight Success album, reached #35 in the UK in March 1975.

breaking up is hard to do

Don't take your love away from me
Don't you leave my heart in misery
If you go then I'll be blue
'Cause breaking up is hard to do

Remember when you held me tight
And you kissed me all through the night
Think of all that we've been through
And breaking up is hard to do

They say that breaking up is hard to do
Now I know I know that it's true
Don't say that this is the end
Instead of breaking up I wish that we were making up again

I beg of you
Don't say goodbye
Can't we give our love another try?
Come on baby, let's start anew
Cause breaking up is hard to do

They say that breaking up is hard to do
Now I know I know that it's true
Don't say that this is the end
Instead of breaking up I wish that we were making up again

I beg of you
Don't say goodbye
Can't we give our love another try?
Come on baby, let's start anew
Cause breaking up is hard to do

A KISS TO BUILD A DREAM ON
LOUIS ARMSTRONG
SONGWRITER: bert Kalmar; harry ruby & Oscar Hammerstein ii
COUNTRY: usa
ALBUM: a kiss to build a dream on
LABEL: delta
GENRE: jazz
YEAR: 1951

"A Kiss to Build a Dream On" is a song composed by Bert Kalmar, Harry Ruby and Oscar Hammerstein II in 1935. It was recorded by Louis Armstrong in 1951. It was also performed by Armstrong as well as by Mickey Rooney with William Demarest, by Sally Forrest, and by Kay Brown (virtually the entire cast performed part or all of the song) in the 1951 film "The Strip," and was a sort of recurring theme in the film. Another popular recording was made by one of the movies guest-stars, Monica Lewis, and in early 1952, the version by Hugo Winterhalter and his Orchestra, with vocalist Johnny Parker, made it to the Pop 20 chart in the United States.
Sung by Richard Chamberlain, the song gained considerable exposure due to its being on the 'B' side of his 1962 hit: "Theme from Dr. Kildare (Three Stars Will Shine Tonight)".
Rod Stewart covered the song in his 2004 album, Stardust: the Great American Songbook 3.
Give me a kiss to build a dream on,
And my imagination will thrive upon that kiss.
Sweetheart, I ask no more than this:
A kiss to build a dream on.

Give me a kiss before you leave me,
And my imagination will feed my hungry heart.
Leave me one thing before we part,
A kiss to build a dream on.

When I'm alone with my fancies, I'll be with you,
Weaving romances, making believe they're true.
Give me your lips for just a moment,

And my imagination will make that moment live.
Give me what you alone can give,
A kiss to build a dream on!

Your love is king,
crown you in my heart.
your love is king,
never need to part.
your kisses ring,
round and round and round my head.
touching the very part of me.
it's making my soul sing.
tearing the very heart of me.
I'm crying out for more.

your love is king,
crown you in my heart.
your love is king.
you're the ruler of my heart.
your kisses ring,
round and round and round my head.
touching the very part of me.
it's making my soul sing.
I'm crying out for more.
your love is king.

I'm coming up, I'm coming.
you're making me dance, inside.

your love is king,
crown you in my heart.
your love is king,
never need to part.
your kisses ring,
round and round and round my head.
touching the very part of me.
it's making my soul sing.
tearing the very heart of me.
I'm crying out for more.

touching the very part of me.
it's making my soul sing.
I'm crying out for more.
your love is king.

this is no blind faith
this is no sad and sorry dream.
this is no blind faith
your love...
your love is real... gotta crown me with your heart,
never, never need to part,
touch me.
never letting go,
never letting go,
never going to give it up.
I'm coming,

you're making me dance...

LET YOURSELF GO
GINGER ROGERS
Songwriter: Irving Berlin
From the film "Follow The Fleet”
Country: usa
album: EVERYBODY SING
Label: THE GIFT MUSIC
Genre: CLASSICAL
Year: 1936

As you listen to the band, don't you get a bubble?
As you listen to them play, don't you get a glow?
If you step out on the floor, you'll forget your trouble
If you start into your dance, you'll forget your woe, so...

Come! Get together.
Let the dance floor feel your leather
Step as lightly as a feather
Let yourself go

Come! Hit the timber
Loosen up and start to limber
Can't you hear that hot marimba?
Let yourself go

Let yourself go
Relax and let yourself go, relax
You've got yourself tied up in a knot.
The night is cold, but the music's hot, so...

Come! Cuddle closer
Don't you dare to answer, "No sir"
Butcher, baker, clerk and grocer
Let yourself go
