Depois de uma incursão pelos clássicos do jazz, Lady Gaga volta ao pop com o lançamento de uma nova canção, Perfect illusion, e o anúncio de um próximo álbum repleto de parcerias.

"Meu amor e meu agradecimento aos brilhantes cavalheiros com os quais fiz esTe disco", escreveu a cantora americana de 30 anos no Twitter, citando o produtor britânico Mark Ronson, a banda australiana Tame Impala, o guitarrista do Queens of the Stone Age Josh Homme e o músico americano Bloodpop.
