"Million Reasons"
is a song recorded by American singer Lady Gagafor her fifth studio album, Joanne(2016). Initially released as a promotional
single, it was released
to radio stations on November 8, 2016, as the album's second single. The track
was written by Gaga, Hillary Lindseyand Mark Ronson, and produced by Ronson, Gaga and BloodPop. It grew organically from the conversations that
Lindsey and Gaga were having one day, with the title phrase lifted from the
singer's musings about the men in her life.
A popsong with countryinfluences, backed by guitar and piano, "Million Reasons"
lyrically delves on "heartbreak and hope" during a relationship, as
well as Gaga's religious faith during the chorus, ultimately making it a
positive message song. Critically appreciated for its simple production and
lyrics, "Million Reasons" reached the top 10 of the charts in
Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland, Venezuela and the United States as well as the
top 20 in Belgium, Canada, Italy, and Scotland.
The music videowas directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin, and it
continues from where the video for previous single, "Perfect Illusion", had ended. It shows Gaga singing in a white
studio, and also her in a desert breaking down and finally being rescued by her
friends. In order to promote "Million Reasons", the singer performed
it at multiple avenues, including the Dive Bar Tour(2016), on multiple television
appearances, and also included it in her set list at the Super Bowl LI
halftime showand the 2017
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Cover versions of the song were recorded by
singer Kelsea Ballerini, and by Grateful Dead's Bob Weirand Phish's
Trey Anastasio.
You're giving me a million reasons to let you go
You're giving me a million reasons to quit the show
You're givin' me a million reasons
Give me a million reasons
Givin' me a million reasons
About a million reasons
If I had a highway, I would run for the hills
If you could find a dry way, I'd forever be still
But you're giving me a million reasons
Give me a million reasons
Givin' me a million reasons
About a million reasons
I bow down to pray
I try to make the worst seem better
Lord, show me the way
To cut through all his worn out leather
I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away
But baby, I just need one good one to stay
Head stuck in a cycle, I look off and I stare
It's like that I've stopped breathing, but completely aware
'Cause you're giving me a million reasons
Give me a million reasons
Givin' me a million reasons
About a million reasons
And if you say something that you might even mean
It's hard to even fathom which parts I should believe
'Cause you're giving me a million reasons
Give me a million reasons
Givin' me a million reasons
About a million reasons
I bow down to pray
I try to make the worst seem better
Lord, show me the way
To cut through all his worn out leather
I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away
But baby, I just need one good one to stay
Ehh, ehh, eyy
Baby, I'm bleedin', bleedin'
Stay, ehh, ehh
Can't you give me what I'm needin', needin'?
Every heartbreak makes it hard to keep the faith
But baby, I just need one good one
Good one, good one, good one, good one, good one
When I bow down to pray
I try to make the worst seem better
Lord, show me the way
To cut through all his worn out leather
I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away
But baby, I just need one good one, good one
Tell me that you'll be the good one, good one
Baby, I just need one good one to stay.

I have a picture pinned to my wall
An image of you and of me and we're laughing
With love at it all
But look at our life now, we're tattered and torn
We fuss and we fight and delight in the tears
That we cry until dawn
(chorus)
Hold me now
Warm my heart
Stay with me
Let lovin' start, let lovin' start
You say i'm a dreamer, we're two of a kind
Both of us searching for some perfect world we know
we'll never
Find
So perhaps i should leave here, yeah yeah, go far away
But you know that there's nowhere that i'd rather be
Than with you here today
(repeat chorus x 2)
You ask if i love you, well, what can i say?
You know that i do and that this is just one of those
games
That
We play
So i'll sing you a new song, please don't cry any more
I'll even ask your forgiveness though i don't know
just what
I'm
Asking it for
(chorus2)
Oh, oh, hold me now (hold me in your lovin' arms)
Oh warm my heart (warm my cold and tired heart)
Stay with me (ooh stay with me)
Let lovin' start, let lovin' start
(repeat
chorus x 4)

Nicole Scherzinger (/niˈkoʊlˈʃɜːrzɪŋər/; born Nicole Prascovia Elikolani Valiente; June 29,
1978) is an American recording artist, actress and television personality born
in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She performed initially
in high school plays, and studied at Wright State University before dropping
out to pursue a musical career alongside the American rock band Days of the New
and later auditioned for Popstars, becoming a member of the short-lived girl
group Eden's Crush. She rose to fame as the lead singer of the burlesque troupe-turned-recording
act the Pussycat Dolls, who became one of the world's best-selling girl groups.
During their hiatus, Scherzinger planned to embark on her solo career with Her
Name is Nicole, but it was later shelved after four singles failed to impact
the charts significantly.
Following the group's
disbandment, Scherzinger ventured into television winning the tenth season of Dancing
with the Stars and became a judge on The Sing-Off and on US and UK versions of The
X Factor. Her debut studio álbum Killer Love (2011) was released to moderate
success and was preceded by the number-one single "Don't Hold Your Breath".
In 2014, Scherzinger released her second álbum Big Fat Lie to commercial
disappointment and starred on the West End revival of the musical Cats for
which she received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination Best Actress in a
Supporting Role in a Musical.
You've been crying, your face is a mess
Come in baby, you can dry your tears on my dress
She's hurt you again, I can tell
Oh, I know that look so well
Don't be shy, we have been here before
Pull your shoes, lie down and I will lock the door
And no one has to know, you've come here again
Knowing it will be, like it's always been before
Breakfast in bed, kisses for me
You don't have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed, love can make you sing
What's your hurry? Please don't hit and run
We can let her wait my darling it's been so long
Since I've had you here, you've returned again
Darling it will be like it's always been before.
Breakfast in bed, kisses for me
You don't have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed, love can make you sing.
Breakfast in bed, kisses for me
You don't have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed, kisses for me
You don't have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed, kisses for me
You don't, you don't, you don't have to say you love
me
