And
I wished for so long, cannot stay...
All the precious moments, cannot stay...
It's not like wings have fallen, cannot stay...
But I feel something's missing, cannot say...
Holding hands are daughters and sons
And their faiths just falling down, down, down,
down...
I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today
We all walk the long road. Cannot stay...
There's no need to say goodbye...
All the friends and family
All the memories going round, round, round, round
I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today
And the wind keeps roaring
And the sky keeps turning gray
And the sun is set
The sun will rise another day…
We all walk the long road. Cannot stay…
There’s no need to say goodbye…
All the friends and family
All the memories going round, round, round, round
I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today
How I”ve wished for so long
How I wish for you today
We all walk the long road (3x).

Physical Graffiti is the
sixth studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released as a double
album on 24 February 1975 by the group's new record label, Swan Song Records.
The band wrote and
recorded eight new songs for the album in early 1974 at Headley Grange, a
country house in Hampshire, which gave them ample time to improvise
arrangements and experiment with recording. The total playing time covered
three sides of an LP, so they decided to expand it into a double by including
previously unreleased tracks from the sessions for the earlier albums Led
Zeppelin III, Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy. The album covered a range
of styles including hard rock, progressive rock, rock 'n' roll and folk. The album was then mixed over
summer 1974 and planned for an end-of year release. It was
delayed because of the sleeve, which was designed by Peter Corriston and
featured a theme around a tenement block in Manhattan, New York.
Physical Graffiti was
commercially and critically successful upon its release and debuted at number
one on album charts in both the US and the UK. It was promoted by a successful
US tour and a five-night residency at Earl's Court, London, and has since been
viewed as one of the group's strongest albums and the artistic peak of their
career. The album has been reissued on CD several times, including an expansive
40th anniversary edition in 2015. Physical Graffiti was later certified 16×
platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)
in 2006, signifying shipments of over eight million copies.
Led Zeppelin were an
English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of guitarist Jimmy
Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer
John Bonham. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound has led them to be cited as
one of the progenitors of heavy metal. Their style drew from a wide variety of
influences, including blues, psychedelia, and folk music.
After changing their name
from the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin signed a deal with Atlantic Records that
afforded them considerable artistic freedom. Although the group were initially
unpopular with critics, they achieved significant commercial success with eight
studio albums released over eleven years, from Led Zeppelin(1969) to In Through
the Out Door(1979). Their untitled fourth studio album, commonly known as Led
Zeppelin IV(1971) and featuring the song "Stairway to Heaven", is
among the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it helped to
secure the group's popularity.
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
Stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
When all will be revealed
Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace
Whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, I been flying
Mama, there ain't no denying
Oh, yeah, I've been flying
Mama, ain't no denying, no denying
All I see turns to brown as the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this wasted land trying to find
Trying to find, trying to find where I've been
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like thoughts inside a dream
Hid the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
My Shangri-la beneath the summer moon
I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high in June
When moving through Kashmir
Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails
Across the sea of years
With no provision, but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, oh, oh, oh
When I'm on
When I'm on my way, yeah
When I see
When I see the way, you stay, yeah
Oh, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah, yeah
When I'm down
Oh, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah, yeah
When I'm down
Oh, my baby, oh, my baby
Let me take you there.

Christmas Songs is the
eighth studio album by Canadian singer Diana Krall, performed with the Clayton-Hamilton
Jazz Orchestra. It was released on October 26, 2005 by Verve Records. This is
Krall's first full-length album of Christmas songs (not counting her 1998 EP Have
Yourself a Merry Little Christmas), and her first studio album with a big band.
The album was released on vinyl for the first time on October 14, 2016.
Tad Hendrickson of JazzTimes
stated "Krall gets a ton of help on her Christmas album from the
well-drilled Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra as well as from the usual peeps in
her own bands. The singer doesn't work too hard to sell it, preferring to stay
in the pocket, and the solos are short all the way around, but it all sounds
swingin', fun and jazzy". John Bungey of The Times noted "If your
idea of a perfect Yuletide is Jimmy Stewart on the telly and Bing on the radio,
and you believe that, musically, it's all been downhill since 1955, then
Krall's album will suit perfectly".
When I'm worried
And I can't sleep
I count my blessings
Instead of sheep
And I fall asleep
Counting
My blessings
When my bankroll
Is getting small
I think
Of when I had
None at all
And I fall asleep
Counting
My blessings
I think about
A nursery
And I picture
Curly heads
And one by one
I count them
As they slumber
In their beds
If you're worried
And you can't sleep
Just count
Your blessings
Instead of sheep
And you'll
Fall asleep
Counting
Your blessings
I think about
A nursery
And I picture
Curly heads
And one by one
I count them
As they slumber
In their beds
If you're worried
And you can't sleep
Just count
Your blessings
Instead of sheep
And you'll
Fall asleep
Counting
Your blessings.

Thomas Francis Dorsey Jr. (November
19, 1905 – November 26, 1956) was an American jazz trombonist, composer,
conductor and bandleader of the big band era. He was known as the
"Sentimental Gentleman of Swing" because of his smooth-toned trombone
playing. His technical skill on the trombone gave him renown among other
musicians. He was the younger brother of bandleader Jimmy Dorsey. After Dorsey
broke with his brother in the mid-1930s, he led an extremely popular and highly
successful band from the late 1930s into the 1950s. He is best remembered for
standards such as "Opus One", "Song of India",
"Marie", "On Treasure Island", and his biggest hit single,
"I'll Never Smile Again".
Marie,
Marie, Marie
Marie,
the dawn is breaking
Marie,
(ooh, Marie) you'll soon be waking
To
find you heart is aching
And
tears (and tears) will fall (will fall) as you recall
The
moon in all it's splendor
A
kiss (ooh, a kiss) so very tender
The
words, "Will you surrender
To
me, (Marie), Marie, (Marie-ee)?"
