Mary Juane Clair is a jazz singer, studio pianist and keyboardist. Before becoming a professional jazz performer, she studied to become a music theorist at the fine music academy. While in academy she was also studying piano.
At an early age Mary was discovered for having a beautiful singing voice. When she realized her passion for jazz music, she became fascinated with many jazz performers such as Ella Fitzgerald and George Sheering.
Her interpretations of the jazz music she performs are deeply expressive and poetic. Thanks to her vocal flexibility, and the ability to compose her own vocal and piano arrangements Mary Juane Clair is able to create her own unique style in her performances.
"The Gentle Rain" ("Chuva Delicada") is a 1965 bossa nova composition by Luiz Bonfá, with lyrics by Matt Dubey. Originally written in A minor key and 4/4 time, this song was first released as part of the motion picture soundtrack of the 1966 film The Gentle Rain of the North-American director Burt Balaban. The music of the film was a collaboration of Luiz Bonfá as a composer and Eumir Deodato as orchestra arranger and director. It has become a jazz standard recorded instrumental in MANY albums.
We both are lost and alone in the world
Walk with me in the gentle rain
Don't be afraid, I've a hand for your hand
and I will be your love for a while

I feel your tears as they fall on my cheek
They are warm like the gentle rain
Come little one you have me in the world
and our love will be sweet
Very sweet

Come little one, you got me in the world
and our love will be sweet
Very sweet, very sad
Like the gentle rain
Like the gentle rain.

Men du river mina murar

Men du river mina murar

Men du river mina murar
Jag vet inte vad du gör
Men allting som du gör det gör mig svag.
YOU ARE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE
RAY CHARLES
SONGWRITERS: JIMMIE DAVIS & CHARLES MITCHELL
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: YOU ARE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE
LABEL: ABC RECORDS
GENRE: POP
YEAR: 1962

"You Are My Sunshine" is a song popularized by Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchellin 1939. It has been declared one of the state songs of Louisiana because of its association with Davis, a country music singer and governor of the state in the years 1944–1948 and 1960–1964.
The song has been recorded numerous times — so often, in fact, that it is "one of the most commercially programmed numbers in American popular music." The song, originally country music, has "virtually lost" its original country music identity, and "represent both the national flowering of country music and its eventual absorption into the mainstream of American popular culture." In 1941, it was recorded by Gene Autry, Bing Crosby, Mississippi John Hurt, Wayne King and Lawrence Welk. The versions by Autry, Crosby, and King reached the US charts of the day.
In subsequent years, it was recorded by Doris Day (1951), Nat King Cole (1955), The Marcels (1961), Ray Charles (1962), Ike & Tina Turner, The Rivingtons (1962), Andy Williams (1963), Burl Ives (1968), Frank Turner, The Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, Anne Murray (1979), Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Norman Blake, Brian Wilson, Mouse and the Traps, Gene Vincent, Jamey Johnson, Low, Mose Allison, Bryan Ferry, Carly Simon, Papa Winnie (1989), Madeline Eastman, Yusuf Islam, Copeland, Johnny and the Hurricanes, and Barbra Lica (2012), amongst many others.
The 1940 version by Davis was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress on March 21, 2013, for long-term preservation.
Virginia Shehee, a long-time Davis family friend and member of the Louisiana State Senate from 1976 to 1980, introduced legislation to make "You Are My Sunshine" the official state song
You are the sunshine of my life
That's why I'll always be around
You are the apple of my eye
Forever you'll stay in my heart
I feel like this is the beginning

Though I've loved you for a million years
And if I thought our love was ending
I'd find myself drowning in my own tears

You are the sunshine of my life
That's why I'll always stay around
You are the apple of my eye
Forever you'll stay in my heart

You must have known that I was lonely
Because you came to my rescue
And I know that this must be heaven
How could so much love be inside of you?

You are the sunshine of my life, yeah
That's why I'll always stay around
You are the apple of my eye
Forever you'll stay in my heart

Love has joined us
Love has joined us
Let's think sweet love.

"A Song for You" is a song written and originally recorded by rock singer and pianist Leon Russell for his first solo album Leon Russell, which was released in 1970 on Shelter Records. A slow, pained plea for forgiveness and understanding from an estranged lover, the tune is one of Russell's best-known compositions. Russell not only sings and plays piano on the recording, but also plays the tenor horn that is accompanying. It has been performed and recorded by over 200 artists, spanning many musical genres. Elton John has called the song an American classic.
One of the first versions of the song that brought it broader attention was by Andy Williams, whose single peaked at #29 on the adult contemporary chart and #82 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1971. Ray Charles recorded a version that earned him the 1994 Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
On January 17, 2018, "A Song for You" was added to Grammy Hall of Fame.
I've been so many places in my life and time
I've sung a lot of songs, I've made some bad rhyme
I've acted out my life in stages, with ten thousand people watching
But we're alone now, and I'm singing this song for you

I know your image of me is what I hope to be
I treated you unkindly, but darling can't you see
There's no one more important to me, baby can't you please see through me
Cause we're alone now and I'm singing this song for you

You taught me precious secrets of the truth withholding nothing
You came out in front when I was hiding, but now I'm so much better
And if my words don't come together, listen to the melody
Cause my love is in there hiding

I love you in a place where there's no space or time
I love you for my life, you are a friend of mine
And when my life is over, remember when we were together
We were alone and I was singing this song for you
We were alone and I was singing this song for you.
