Dua Lipa (/ˈduːəˈliːpə/; Albanian pronunciation: [ˈdua ˈlipa]; born 22 August 1995) is an English singer and songwriter. After working as a model, she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart, and produced nine singles, including "Be the One" and "IDGAF", and the UK number-one single "New Rules", which also peaked at number six in the US. In 2018, Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Released in April 2018, the single "One Kiss" with Calvin Harris peaked at number one in the UK and became the longest-running number-one single for a female artist in 2018. It won her the 2019 Brit Award for Song of the Year. In 2019, she was also awarded the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and "Electricity", a collaboration with Silk City, won her the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The success of the singles helped her self-titled album become one of the most-streamed albums on Spotify and achieve platinum certifications. Her second studio album, Future Nostalgia, was released in March 2020 to critical acclaim. It is her first UK number-one album; its lead single "Don't Start Now" became one of the most commercially successful songs of 2020; it is one of four songs (the only song by a female artist) that has spent all of 2020 on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number two on both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.
Lipa has received various accolades, including two Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards and two MTV Europe Music Awards. She has also been nominated for three Billboard Music Awards, an American Music Award, and ten MTV Video Music Awards.
"Electricity" is a song by British-American music duo Silk City and English singer Dua Lipa featuring American DJ Diplo and British musician Mark Ronson, from the Silk City's debut EP of the same name (2019). The song was written by Silk City members: Ronson and Diplo, alongside Lipa, Diana Gordon, Romy Madley Croft, Jr Blender, Jacob Olofsson, Rami Dawod, Maxime Picard and Clément Picard, with production from Silk City and additional production from Jarami, Riton, Alex Metric, and Blender. It was released for digital download and streaming through Columbia Records and Sony Music on 6 September 2018 as the fourth single from the EP. The song was also included on the super deluxe edition of Lipa's debut album, Dua Lipa: Complete Edition (2018).
Musically, "Electricity" draws from Chicago house and 1990s music, and is a dance-pop and piano house song with disco-house, diva house and electropop elements. Lyrically, it sees a couple who has found a kindred spirit, with one party also comforting the other. The song was met with acclaim from music critics, with many complimenting the production. It won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The song reached number 4 and 62 respectively on the UK Singles Chart and US Billboard Hot 100, and has a platinum certification in both countries, by the British Phonographic Industry(BPI) and Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), respectively.
The music video for "Electricity" was directed by Bradley & Pablo, and is set during the Northeast blackout of 2003. In the video, Lipa throws a party in her loft, where she turns the power back on with her dance moves, while Ronson and Diplo get stuck in an elevator. Critics praised Lipa's performance in the video. The song was also accompanied by a vertical video and dance video. Silk City and Lipa promoted the single with numerous live performances, including ones at the American Music Awards of 2018, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. The song has received several remixes, including ones by The Black Madonna and MK.

Falling into you
Baby
Even electricity
Can’t compare to what I feel
When I’m with you
Ooh, baby
Given up my ghosts for you
And now I’m see through

You give me a feeling
Feeling so strong
I know you been treating
Treating yourself wrong
So let me care for you
Ooh, baby
Ima love you differently
I’ll give you electricity
Give it to you

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you
You know
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you and I
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

All I see is you lately
Wide awake and in my dreams
I see your face so vividly
I don’t know what I’d do
Ooh, baby
If you only saw a friend in me
I’d be bitter sweet

You give me a feeling
Feeling so strong
I know you been treating
Treating yourself wrong
So let me care for you
Ooh, baby
Ima love you differently
I’ll give you electricity
Give it to you

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you
You know
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you and I
I wanted to let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

You feel electric, baby
So electric, baby
I wanna let you know
Let you know
I think I’m ready, baby
I think I’m ready now
Electricity
I’m flowing into you

I want it
I need it
This current between us
Is flowing
This feeling
Tonight

I want it
I need it
This current between us
Is flowing
This feeling
Tonight

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you
You know
I wanna let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

And even if I could
I wouldn’t turn on you
And I would stop the world for you and I
I wanna let you know
I’ll never let this feeling go
This love has no ceiling
I cannot deny

You feel electric, baby
So electric, baby
I wanna let you know
Let you know
I think I’m ready, baby
I think I’m ready now
Electricity.

Funny, you're a stranger who's come here,
come from another town.
Funny, I'm a stranger myself here.
Small world, isn't it?

Funny, you're a man who goes traveling
rather than settling down.
Funny, 'cause I'd love to go traveling.
Small world, isn't it?

We have so much in common,
it's a phenomenon.
We could pool our resources
by joining forces from now on.

Lucky, you're a man who likes children.
That's an important sign.
Lucky, I'm a woman with children.
Small world, isn't it?
Funny, isn't it small and funny and fine?

We have so much in common,
it's a phenomenon.
We could pool our resources
by joining forces from now on.

Lucky, you're a man who likes children.
That's an important sign.
Lucky,
You're a
woman with children.
Small world, isn't it?
Funny, isn't it
isn't it
small and funny and fine?

Alicia Augello Cook (born January 25, 1981), known professionally as Alicia Keys, is an American singer-songwriter. A classically-trained pianist, Keys began composing songs by age 12 and was signed at 15 years old by Columbia Records. After disputes with the label, she signed with Arista Records, and later released her debut album, Songs in A Minor, with J Records in 2001. The album was critically and commercially successful, producing her first Billboard Hot 100 number-one single "Fallin'" and selling over 16 million copies worldwide. The album earned Keys five Grammy Awards in 2002. Her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003), was also a critical and commercial success, spawning successful singles "You Don't Know My Name", "If I Ain't Got You", and "Diary", and selling eight million copies worldwide. The album garnered her an additional four Grammy Awards. Her duet "My Boo" with Usher became her second number-one single in 2004. Keys released her first live album, Unplugged (2005), and became the first woman to have an MTV Unplugged album debut at number one.
Her third album, As I Am (2007), produced the Hot 100 number-one single "No One", selling 7 million copies worldwide and earning an additional three Grammy Awards. In 2007, Keys made her film debut in the action-thriller film Smokin' Aces. She, along with Jack White, recorded "Another Way to Die" (the title song to the 22nd official James Bond film, Quantum of Solace). Her fourth album, The Element of Freedom (2009), became her first chart-topping album in the UK, and sold 4 million copies worldwide. In 2009, Keys also collaborated with Jay Z on "Empire State of Mind", which became her fourth number-one single and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Girl on Fire (2012) was her fifth Billboard 200 topping album, spawning the successful title track, and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. In 2013, VH1 Storytellers was released as her second live album. Her sixth studio album, Here (2016), became her seventh US R&B/Hip-Hop chart-topping album. Her seventh studio album, Alicia, was released on September 18, 2020.

She has sold over 50 million albums and 40 million singles worldwide and was named by Billboard the top R&B artist of the 2000s decade. She placed tenth on their list of Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Artists of the Past 25 Years. VH1 included her on their 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and 100 Greatest Women in Music lists, while Time has named her in their 100 list of most influential people in 2005 and 2017. Keys is also acclaimed for her humanitarian work, philanthropy and activism; she co-founded and serves as the Global Ambassador of the nonprofit HIV/AIDS-fighting organization Keep a Child Alive.
"If I Ain't Got You" is a song by American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys from her second studio album The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003). Inspired by the 2001 death of singer Aaliyah, the terrorist September 11 attacks, and other events in the world and in Keys' life, the song is about "how material things don't feed the soul." The single cover depicts Keys similarly to the subject of Man Ray's 1924 painting Le Violon d'Ingres.
Released in February 2004 as the album's second single, "If I Ain't Got You" peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became Keys' second consecutive R&B chart-topper, remaining atop of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for six weeks. The song received two nominations at the 2005 Grammy Awards, for Song of the Year and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, winning the latter.
A remix featuring Usher, a Kanye West Radio Mix, and a Spanish-language version featuring Arturo Sandoval appear on the bonus CD of select international pressings of The Diary of Alicia Keys.

Some people live for the fortune
Some people live just for the fame
Some people live for the power, yeah
Some people live just to play the game

Some people think that the physical things
Define what's within
And I've been there before, but that life's a bore
So full of the superficial

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby
If I ain't got you, baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, yeah

Some people search for a fountain
That promises forever young
Some people need three dozen roses
And that's the only way to prove you love them

Hand me the world on a silver platter
And what good would it be?
And no one to share
With no one who truly be cares for me

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby
If I ain't got you, baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, you, you

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby
If I ain't got you, baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, yeah

If I ain't got you with me, baby
So nothing in this whole wide world don't mean a thing
If I ain't got you with me, baby.

Momentos são iguais àqueles
Em que eu te amei
Palavras são iguais àquelas
Que eu te dediquei
Eu escrevi na fria areia
Um nome para amar
O mar chegou, tudo apagou
Palavras leva o mar

Teu coração praia distante
Em meu perdido olhar
Teu coração, mais inconstante
Que a incerteza do mar
Meu castelo de carinhos
Eu nem pude terminar
Momentos meus que foram teus
Agora é recordar...
