The Animals(also billed as Eric Burdon and the Animals) are an English rhythm and blues and rock band, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. The band moved to London upon finding fame in 1964. The Animals were known for their gritty, bluesy sound and deep-voiced frontman Eric Burdon, as exemplified by their signature song and transatlantic number-one hit single, "The House of the Rising Sun", as well as by hits such as "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It's My Life", "Don't Bring Me Down", "I'm Crying", "See See Rider", and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". The band balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm and blues-oriented album material and were part of the British Invasion of the US.
The Animals underwent numerous personnel changes in the mid-1960s, and suffered from poor business management, leading the original incarnation to split up in 1966. Burdon assembled a mostly new lineup of musicians under the name Eric Burdon and the Animals; the much-changed act moved to California and achieved commercial success as a psychedelic and hard rock band with hits such as "San Franciscan Nights", "When I Was Young", and "Sky Pilot", before disbanding at the end of the decade. Altogether, the group had 10 top-20 hits in both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.
The original lineup of Burdon, Alan Price, Chas Chandler, Hilton Valentine, and John Steel reunited for a one-off benefit concert in Newcastle in 1968. They later had brief comebacks in 1975 and 1983. Several partial regroupings of the original-era members have occurred since then under various names. The Animals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
I'm sitting here lonely like a broken man
I serve my time doin' the best I can
Walls and bars they surround me
But, I don't want no sympathy

No baby, no baby
All I need is some tender lovin'
To keep me sane in this burning oven
And, when my time is up, you'll be my reefer

Life gets worse on God's green Earth
Be my reefer, got to keep smokin' that thing
No, no, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no, no, no, no

I said now baby, baby let me smoke it smoke it
Makes me feel good feel good, yes, I feel good ah
Yes, I feel alright (feel alright) yes, I feel alright (I feel alright)
Yes, I feel alright ah
Oh

Ice cold water is runnin' through my veins
They try and drag me back to work again
Pain and blisters on my mind and hands
I work all day making up burlap bags

The oats they're feeding me are driving me wild
I feel unhappy like a new born child
Now, when my time is up, you wait and see
These walls and bars won't keep that stuff from me

No, no, baby
Won't keep that stuff from me
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no, no, no, no

I need you right now mama
I need you right now baby
Right by my side, honey
All night long
Make me feel alright
Yes, yes, yes

You better come on up and get down with me
I'll make you feel real good, just you wait and see
Make me feel alright yes, I feel alright
Yes, yes, yes, alright.

BORN TO MAKE YOU HAPPY

BRITNEY SPEARS
SONGWRITERS: LUNDIN KRISTIAN CARL MARCUS & CARLSSON ANDREAS MIKAEL
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: FALLEN
LABEL: JIVE RECORDS
GENRE: POP
YEAR: 1998

"Born to Make You Happy" is a song recorded by American singer Britney Spears for her debut studio album, ...Baby One More Time(1999). It was released on December 6, 1999, by Jive Records, as the fourth single from the album in European countries. Spears—whose vision for her sound differed stylistically from that of her producer's—was unhappy with the sexual overtones of the song, and the song underwent at least one re-write before its release. The singer first recorded the vocals for the track in March 1998, which were later re-recorded the same year. The teen pop song alludes to a relationship that a woman desires to correct, not quite understanding what went wrong, as she comes to realize that she was "born to make [her lover] happy".
"Born to Make You Happy" received mixed reviews from critics, who praised Spears' vocals and deemed it an early classic and a proficient single, but criticized its message. The song was commercially successful internationally, peaking at number one in Ireland, and reaching top five positions in Belgium, Europe, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland. In the United Kingdom, it also peaked at number one, and is Spears' sixth best-selling single in the country. Although the song was not released as a single in the United States, an accompanying music video, directed by Bille Woodruff, was. The video portrays Spears dreaming that she is with her lover, while she sings and dances during the majority of the video. Spears has performed "Born to Make You Happy" on four concert tours.

Oh, my love
Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah

I'm sitting here alone up in my room
And think about the times that we've been through
Oh, my love
I'm looking at a picture in my hand
Trying my best to understand
I really wanna know what we did wrong
With a love that felt so strong

If only you were here Tonight
I know that we could make it right

I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy
'Cause you're the only one within my heart
0I was born to make you happy
Always and forever you and me
That's the way our life should be
I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy

I know I've been a fool since you've been gone
I better give it up and then carry on
Oh, my love
'Cause living in a dream of you and me
Is not the way my life should be
I don't wanna cry a tear for you
So forgive me if I do

If only you were here tonight
I know that we could make it right

I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy
'Cause you're the only one within my heart
I was born to make you happy
Always and forever you and me
That's the way our life should be
I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy

Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah

I'd do anything
I'd give you my world
I'd wait forever to be your girl
(Just call out my name) Just call out my name
(I will be there) And I will be there
Just to show you how much I care

Alright
I was born to make you happy
Yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah

I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy
'Cause you're the only one within my heart
I was born to make you happy
Always and forever you and me
That's the way our life should be
I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy
I was born to make you happy

Oh yeah
Always and forever you and me
That's the way our life should be
I don't know how to live without your love
I was born to make you happy.

Se vocês querem saber quem eu sou
Eu sou a tal mineira
Filha de Angola, de Ketu e Nagô
Não sou de brincadeira
Canto pelos sete cantos não temo quebrantos
Porque eu sou guerreira

Dentro do samba eu nasci, me criei, me converti
E ninguém vai tombar a minha bandeira
Dentro do samba eu nasci, me criei, me converti

E ninguém vai tombar a minha bandeira

Hoje sou folha morta
Que a corrente transporta
Oh, Deus como eu sou infeliz, infeliz
Eu queria um minuto apenas
Pra mostrar minhas penas
Oh, Deus como eu sou infeliz

Sei que falam de mim...
Vivo à margem da vida
Sem amparo ou guarida
Oh, Deus como eu sou infeliz.
Já tive amores, tive carinhos, já tive sonhos
Os dissabores levaram minha alma
Por caminhos tristonhos

Hoje sou folha morta
Que a corrente transporta
Oh, Deus como eu sou infeliz, infeliz
Eu queria um minuto apenas
Pra mostrar minhas penas

Oh, Deus como eu sou infeliz
Sei que falam de mim...
