I've been sleepless at night, 'cause I don't know how I feel
I've been waiting on you, just to say something real
There's a light on the road and I think you know
Morning has come and I have to go

I don't know why, I don't know why
We need to break so hard
I don't know why we break so hard

But if we're strong enough to let it in
We're strong enough to let it go oh oh
Let it all go, let it all go, let it all out now

If I look back to the start, now I know
I see everything true
There's still a fire in my heart, my darling
But I'm not burning for you
We've started it wrong and I think you know
We waited too long, now I have to go

I don't know why, I don't know why
We need to break so hard
I don't know why we break so hard

But if we're strong enough to let it in
We're strong enough to let it go oh oh
Let it all go, let it all go, let it all out now

Who says, who says
Who says, who says

Who says truth is beauty after all?
And who says love should break us when we fall?

But if we're strong enough to let it in
We're strong enough to let it go oh oh
Let it all go, let it all go, let it all out now
Let it all go, let it all go, let it all out now
We're strong enough to let it go oh oh!

ALBUM: BILLY PAUL’S GREATEST HITS
LABEL: PHILADELPHIA INTERNACIONAL
GENRE: SOUL
YEAR: 1980

Paul Williams (December 1, 1934 – April 24, 2016), known professionally as Billy Paul, was a Grammy Award-winning American soul singer, known for his 1972 Nº 1 single "Me and Mrs. Jones", as well as the 1973 album and single War of the Gods, which blends his more conventional pop, soul, and funk styles with electronic and psychedelic influences.
He was one of the many artists associated with the Philadelphia soul sound created by Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff, and Thom Bell. Paul was identified by his diverse vocal style, which ranged from mellow and soulful to low and raspy. Questlove of the Roots equated Paul to Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, calling him "one of the criminally unmentioned proprietors of socially conscious post-revolution '60s civil rights music."

Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna hurt you
Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna let you down
Oh, no, not you, baby

After all the thing in life we've been through
I thank the Lord every day 'cause I'm blessed with you
I was lost in a world of pain and misery
Ooh, baby, I'm glad about your love
Ooh, baby, I'm proud about your love
Each day I love you more and more and more and more
You're the one I adore
Tell the world that you're mine

Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna hurt you
Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna let you down
Oh, no, not you, baby

You and me can build a world so complete
All we got to do is love each other so truthfully
You are my sunshine, you chase the clouds away
Ooh, baby, I'm proud about your love
Ooh, baby, I'm glad about your love
Come with me, let's walk arm in arm, arm in arm
Show the world that you belong to me

Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna hurt you
Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna let you down

Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna hurt you
Baby, you're my sweetness
And I'm never gonna let you down.

SONGWRITERS: NADIA MLADJAO; JOHAN BERG DALGAARD & MALICK OUSMANE NDIAYE

Slow down
Take your time
It will be all right
If you decide to take it on the signs
Take it easy
Take it easy

Slow down
Take your time
It will be all right
If you decide to take it on the signs
Take it easy
Take it easy
Oh, slow down

And now I understand
Life isn't a friend
Is so hard, sometimes
But guess what?
You're not the only one
The door is shot
But so is your mind

And now I understand
Life isn't a friend
Is so hard, sometimes
But guess what?
You're not the only one
The door is shot
But so is your mind

Slow down
Take your time
It will be all right
If you decide to take it on the signs
Take it easy

Take it easy
Slow down
Take your time
It will be all right
If you decide to take it on the signs
Take it easy
Take it easy
Oh, slow down

But let we explain you
You'll have to complain
But kept the bright side
Open your eyes
Along with your mind
It's not so bad
God is love and love is all around

You do the best you can
As it have to be great
Open your arms
Now is the time
To get away with your life
Hold on
And your heart and enjoy the ride

Slow down
Take your time
It will be all right
If you decide to take it on the signs
Take it easy
Take it easy

Slow down
Take your time
It will be all right
If you decide to take it on the signs
Take it easy
Take it easy
Oh, slow down.
