Tantôt tu me reviens fugace

Celui qui va me rendre fou

Elle me chante souvent
Que j'ai tort d'essayer
De les retenir
De les retenir
Je l'aime à mourir

Pour monter dans sa grotte
Cachée sous les toits
Je dois clouer des notes
À mes sabots de bois
Je l'aime à mourir

Je dois juste m'asseoir
Je ne dois pas parler
Je ne dois rien vouloir
Je dois juste essayer
De lui appartenir
De lui appartenir
Je l'aime à mourir

Elle a dû faire toutes les guerres
Pour être si forte aujourd'hui
Elle a dû faire toutes les guerres
De la vie, et l'amour aussi
Moi je n'étais rien
Et voilà qu'aujourd'hui
Je suis le gardien
Du sommeil de ses nuits
Je l'aime à mourir
Vous pouvez détruire
Tout ce qu'il vous plaira
Elle n'aura qu'à ouvrir
L'espace de ses bras
Pour tout reconstruire
Pour tout reconstruire
Je l'aime à mourir.

Now that I'm gone, you know my name
Now that I'm gone, you want me back again
I've made up my mind, it's set and done
There's not enough salt to have me back
It's hard to process, I understand
It's breaking your heart but leaving mine untouched

Now that I'm gone so is love
But now that I'm gone
The shadows are saying

No need to send me flowers
You're wasting your time
My river has run dry
Is just a little too late
Go on with your life
No reason, no rhyme

Now that I'm gone what about then
I was around you didn't seem to care
What went so wrong, I can't explain
You're now a stranger to my eyes

Now that I'm gone so is love
But now that I'm gone
The shadows are saying

No need to send me flowers
You're wasting your time
My river has run dry
It's just a little too late
Go on with your life
No reason, no rhyme

No need to send me flowers
You're wasting your time
My river has run dry
It's just a little too late
Go on with your life
No reason, no rhyme

You're calling my name, I can't hear you
Maybe you should scream, no, I'm teasing
You're calling my name
You say you're in hell maybe it's true
You say you feel pain, I know you do
I know you do

Now that I'm gone, so is love
The shadows are saying

No need to send me flowers
You're wasting your time
My river has run dry
It's just a little too late
Go on with your life
No reason, no rhyme

No need to send me flowers
You're wasting your time
My river has run dry
It's just a little too late
Go on with your life
There's no reasons, no reason, no rhyme.

I laid a red rose on your front porch
And I wrote 'I Love You' on a note
I rang the doorbell and turned to go
Baby when the curtains moved
I couldn't believe the view

I saw the light in your window tonight
I saw two shadows holding each other tight
I know the truth when I look in your eyes
I saw the light in your window tonight

So take your cheating hands off my red dress
'Cause I ain't wearing this thing for you
I see you clearly now, and your lies too
They say that love is blind
Well, baby, not this time

I saw the light in your window tonight
I saw two shadows holding each other tight
I know the truth when I look in your eyes
I saw the light in your window tonight

Why, baby, why
Should I listen to ya
Cry, baby, cry
Now I'm walking out the door

They say that love is blind
Well, baby, not this time

I know the truth when I look in your eyes
I saw the light in your window tonight.
