I’ve heard the rumors
I’ve heard the talk on the town
They say you’re a loner
They say that you ain’t sound
But I don’t believe any of that
I’ve got a whole nother view
Yeah I think there’s a treasure
Waiting for someone
To prove himself worthy and true

Yeah like a dandelion
My love’s stuck roots for you
Like a dandelion
My love’s gonna break right through
Those concrete floors and the stone laid walls
Will all be made to part
And my dandelion love
Is gonna reach your heart

I’ve asked you out
I’ve invited you in, ooh
I’ve shown you a real good time
The best you can have without having to sin
But I must admit
To having such motives up my sleeve
But I think that’s the treasure
Waiting for someone
To prove himself worthy and true

Yeah like a dandelion
My love’s stuck roots for you
Like a dandelion
My love’s gonna break right through
Those concrete floors and the stone laid walls
Will all be made to part
And my dandelion love
Is gonna reach your heart

Yeah like a dandelion
My love’s stuck roots for you
Like a dandelion
My love’s gonna break right through
Yeah like a dandelion
My love’s stuck roots for you
Like a dandelion
My love’s gonna break right through
Those concrete floors and the stone laid walls
Will all be made to part
And my dandelion love
Is gonna reach your heart
And my dandelion love
Is gonna reach your heart
And my dandelion love
Is gonna reach your heart.

Ooh mama
We're stopping at the green light girl
Because I want to get your signal
No going at the green light girl
Because I want to be with you now

You are my special
You are my special
You are my midnight, midnight yeah

So sweet
So fine
So nice
All mine
Mine mine
Mine mine
Ooh

We're stopping on the highway girl
'Cause I want to burn my gas
There's one girl that I know I'm never gonna pass

She is my special
She is my special
She is my midnight, midnight yeah

So sweet
So fine
So nice
All mine
Mine mine
Mine mine
Ooh

Ooh yeah

So sweet
So fine
So nice
All mine
Mine mine
Mine mine
Ooh sugar.

 MINDE OVER MATTER

YOUNG THE GIANT
SONGWRITERS: FRANÇOIS COMTOIS; SAMEER GADHIA; PAYAM DOOTZADEH; JACOB TILLEY & ERIC CANNATA
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: YOUNG THE GIANT
LABEL: FUELED BY RAMEN
GENRE: INDIE
YEAR: 2014

Young the Giant is an American rock band that formed in Irvine, California, in 2004. The band's line-up consists of Sameer Gadhia (lead vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Payam Doostzadeh (bass guitar), and Francois Comtois (drums). Formerly known as The Jakes, Young the Giant was signed by Roadrunner Records in 2009, and they released their eponymous debut album in 2010. The band's first three singles, "My Body", "Cough Syrup", and "Apartment", all charted on the US Alternative Songs chart.
Mind over Matter is the second studio album by the American alternative rock band Young the Giant. It was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen and released on January 21, 2014, by Fueled by Ramen. Promoted by the singles "It's About Time" and "Crystallized", the album received generally favorable reviews from music critics.
Mind over Matter received generally favorable reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 67, based on 7 reviews, indicating "generally favorable" reviews.
Rating the album three stars out of five, Timothy Monger of AllMusic called the album "an able, straightforward modern indie rock record" and wrote that the band was at its best on some of the lighter songs on the album, such as "Firelight" and "Waves". However, he noted that "the type of mainstream guitar/synth rock Young the Giant pursue is littered with similar acts, making it tough to rise above the din. Comparisons to stadium-filling bands like Coldplay and Phoenix are not out of line, but there is a general lack of distinction to much of the music on Mind over Matter, suggesting that the band still hasn't discovered its defining characteristics.
Mind over matter
Does it matter to any of us?
Don't change the subject
I'm heavy on your love

I missed that train
New York City, it rains
Fly to East LA in big jet planes
You know you're on my mind

And if the world don't break
I'll be shaking it
'Cause I'm a young man after all, ooh
And when the seasons change
Will you stand by me?
'Cause I'm a young man built to fall, ooh

Mind over matter
I'm in tatters thinking about her
Taste my disaster
It's heavy on my tongue

All the lights aglow, Tokyo snows
Go to watch the show, curtain's closed
I'm watching you this time

And if the world don't break
I'll be shaking it
'Cause I'm a young man after all, ooh
And when the seasons change
Will you stand by me?
'Cause I'm a young man built to fall, ooh

(I missed that train) New York City, it rains
(Fly to East LA) in big jet planes
You know you're on my mind
(All the lights aglow) Tokyo snows
(Go to watch the show) curtain's closed
I'm watching you this time

Mind over matter
Mind over matter
You know you're on my mind!

And if the world don't break
I'll be shaking it
'Cause I'm a young man after all, ooh
(I missed that train) and when the seasons change
Will you stand by me? (Fly to East LA)
'Cause I'm a young man built to fall, ooh

And if the world don't break (all the lights aglow, Tokyo snows)
(Go to watch the show, curtain's closed)
And when the seasons change
Will you stand by me?
'Cause I'm a young man built to fall, ooh!
