SONGWRITERS: KOOL & THE GANG & MICKENS, ALTON TAYLOR
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: LIGHT OF WORLDS
LABEL: DE-LITE
GENRE: R & B/INSTRUMENTAL
YEAR: 1974

Light of Worlds is the fifth studio album, and seventh album of new material by the American R&B group Kool & the Gang. Released in 1974, it was later remastered by Polygram and was a second success for the band, reaching number 16 in the R&B Charts and number 63 in the Pop Charts. It was a landmark in the funk/jazz fusion genre of the 1970s.
Light of Worlds is regarded as Kool & the Gang's most spiritual and sophisticated work, produced in the wake of the success of their previous album, Wild and Peaceful. While it was their seventh album of original material, the band considered Light of the Worlds their ninth LP (counting two compilations), and therefore consciously chose nine songs for the album to represent the then nine planets in the Solar System. The album contains rock-inspired funk set to jazz-informed playing with afrobeat influences and a tinge of analogue synthesizing.
"Summer Madness" is considered [according to whom?] to be the album's highlight, incorporating smooth melodies and a synthesizer. It was later released as a single, with a follow-up titled "Winter Sadness" in Kool & the Gang's Spirit of the Boogie a year later. In 1991, the Hip-Hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince sampled elements of "Summer Madness" for their song "Summertime". A remake of "Summer Madness" was released on their 1993 album Unite titled "WKOOL/Summer".

The name of the band is a shortened version of the saying "too much ego will kill your talent". The band is known for changing musical instruments during a performance.
The band Ego Kill Talent was founded in December 2014 by members of several Brazilian bands, like Udora, Sepultura, Reação em Cadeia and Sayowa. In November 2015, they released their first EP titled Sublimated. This was produced in the Family Mob Studios, which was founded by Jean Dolabella and Estevam Romera. Halfway through 2016, their second EP Still Here was released. They also performed at different festivals that year, including Lollapalooza in Brazil. Estevam Romera left the band that year, being replaced by Niper Boaventura.
Now that you see me whole
You know I'm not just what I want to show
And I know all of you now
I saw your worst and all I want to do is

Go on, and I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go down all the way with you it's better

Take me where you wanna go
There's nothing we can't get through
Even when you feel you're not enough
I see your eyes and all I want to do is

Go on untill the last breath
Be your shelter when the rains falls
Hold the light when life becomes dark
Let's fade away together in to the sun

This is our song
With you I'm home again

Oh, I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go down all the way with you it's better

I wrote this one for you
So you can listen on the radio
Even when I'm away from you
And life is showing it can hurt too
I'm by your side

This is our song
With you I'm home again

Oh, I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go down all the way with you

This is our song
With you I'm home again
Oh, I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go down all the way with you, oh

Go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go on
I will go
I will go, yeah I'll
Go on
I will go
I will go on
I will go down all the way with you it's better
With you it's better.

S'il te semble entendre
Dans la brume de tes rêves
Une voix qui t'appelle
Une voix qui t'appelle

Si tu crois reconnaître
Quand l'aurore se lève
Une voix qui t'appelle
Une voix qui t'appelle

C'est moi
Moi qui t'aime
C'est moi qui t'appelle
Si loin de toi

Elle est là dans les vagues
Qui meurt sur la plage
Ma voix qui t'appelle
Ma voix qui t'appelle

Elle chante quand chante
Les orgues de l'orage
Ma voix qui t'appelle
Ma voix qui t'appelle

Car moi

Vers toi
Vers toi.

JOE COCKER
SONGWRITER: JOHN ELTON & TAUPIN BERNIE
COUNTRY: U. K.
ALBUM: THE BEST OF JOE COCKER
LABEL: CAPITOL RECORDS
GENRE: R & B
YEAR: 1992

John Robert "Joe" Cocker(20 May 1944 – 22 December 2014) was an English singer known for his gritty, bluesy voice and dynamic stage performances that featured expressive body movements. Most of his best known singles were covers of songs by other artists, though he composed a number of his own songs for most of his albums as well, often in conjunction with songwriting partner Chris Stainton.
His first album featured a recording of the Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends", which brought him to near-instant stardom. The song reached number one in the UK in 1968, became a staple of his many live shows, including Woodstock and Isle of Wight in 1969, the Party at the Palace in 2002, and was also known as the theme song for the TV series The Wonder Years. He continued his success with his second album, which included a second Beatles cover: "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window". A hastily thrown together 1970 U.S. tour led to the live double-album Mad Dogs & Englishmen, which featured an all-star band organized by Leon Russell. His 1974 cover of "You Are So Beautiful" reached number five in the U.S., and became his signature song. Cocker's best selling song was the U.S. number one "Up Where We Belong", a duet with Jennifer Warnes that earned a 1983 Grammy Award. He released a total of 22 studio albums over a 43-year recording career.
In 1993, Cocker was nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Male. He was awarded a bronze Sheffield Legends plaque in his hometown in 2007, and received an OBE the following year for services to music. Cocker was ranked number 97 on Rolling Stone's 100 greatest singers list.
The Best of Joe Cocker is a compilation album by Joe Cocker, released as a 16-track release in UK, Germany and the rest of the Europe in 1992 and as a 12-track release in the United States and Canada in 1993.
What have I got to do to make you love me
What have I got to do to make you care
What do I do when lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that you're not there

What do I do to make you want me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over
And sorry seems to be the hardest word

It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word

What do I do to make you love me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I do when lightning strikes me
What have I got to do
What have I got to do
When sorry seems to be the hardest word.
