Carrie Marie Underwood(born March 10, 1983) is an American singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence after winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. Her single "Inside Your Heaven" made her the only country artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the only solo country artist in the 2000s to have a number-one song on the Hot 100. Her debut album, Some Hearts(2005), was bolstered by the successful crossover singles "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats", becoming the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history. She won three Grammy Awards for the album, including Best New Artist. The next studio album, Carnival Ride(2007), had one of the biggest opening weeks of all time by a female artist and won two Grammy Awards. Her third studio album, Play On(2009), was preceded by the single "Cowboy Casanova", which had one of the biggest single-week upward movements on the Hot 100.
She achieved the second best-selling release by a woman in 2012 and won a Grammy Award with her fourth album, Blown Away(2012). Her compilation Greatest Hits: Decade #1(2014) spawned the crossover single "Something in the Water". Her fifth studio album, Storyteller(2015), made her the only country artist to have all studio albums reach either numbers one or two on the Billboard 200 chart. With her sixth album, Cry Pretty(2018), she became the only woman to top the Billboard 200 with four country albums and had the biggest week for any album by a woman in 2018. She released her first Christmas project, My Gift, in 2020, and her first gospel collection, My Savior, in 2021, to critical acclaim.
Play On is the third studio album by American country music singer Carrie Underwood. It was released in the United States on November 3, 2009, through Arista Nashville. The album was recorded in three separate studios, Starstuck Studios in Nashville, Texas, Maratone Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, and Gemano Studios in New York City. Play On was produced by Mark Bright who also produced Underwood's "Carnival Ride" and seven other songs off of Some Hearts.
Much of Play On, which took Underwood three months to write, takes on Underwood's staple style of country music that combines the twang of Underwoods biggest inspiration, Reba McEntire, and the attitude area rock rock, and her addition of pop.
The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 318,000 copies, which was rated as the highest first-week sales for a female artist in 2009 upon release. It is her second album to debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200, and her third to debut atop the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. As of October 2016, the album has been certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA, Platinum by the CRIA and Gold by the ARIA. Play On has since sold over three million copies worldwide. "Temporary Home" and "Mama's Song" were both nominated for Grammy Awards, while Play On was nominated for Album of the Year at both the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards, and won Favorite Country Album at the 2010 American Music Awards.
The album spawned three consecutive Billboard Hot Country Songs number 1 singles — "Cowboy Casanova", "Temporary Home" and "Undo It", all of which certified Multi-Platinum or Platinum by the RIAA. The fourth single, "Mama's Song", reached number 2 on the chart and received a Gold certification from the RIAA. "Cowboy Casanova" achieved one of the biggest single-week upwards on the Billboard Hot 100 of all time, when it climbed 96–11 in its second week.
You better take it from me
That boy is like a disease
You're runnin' and tryin' and tryin' to hide
And you're wondering why you can't get free
He's like a curse, he's like a drug
You get addicted to his love
You wanna get out, but he's holding ya down
'Cause you can't live without one more touch

He's a good time cowboy Casanova
Leaning up against the record machine
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes
And he only comes out at night
Gives you feelings that you don't wanna fight
You better run for your life

I see that look on your face
You ain't hearing what I say
So I'll say it again 'cause I been where ya been
And I know how it ends, you can't get away
Don't even look in his eyes
He'll tell you nothing but lies
And you wanna believe that you won't be deceived
If you listen to me and take my advice

He's a good time cowboy Casanova
Leaning up against the record machine
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes
And he only comes out at night
Gives you feelings that you don't wanna fight
You better run for your life

Run, run away, don't let him mess with your mind
He'll tell you anything you wanna hear
He'll break your heart, it's just a matter of time
But just remember

He's a good time cowboy Casanova
Leaning up against the record machine
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes
And he only comes out at night
Gives you feelings that you don't wanna fight
You better run for your life

Oh, you better run for your life
Oh, you better run for your life.

Billy Ray Cyrus(born August 25, 1961) is an American singer and actor. He has released 16 studio albums and 53 singles since 1992, and is known for his hit single "Achy Breaky Heart", which topped the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart and became the first single ever to achieve triple platinum status in Australia. It was also the best-selling single in the same country in 1992. Due to the song's music video, the line dance rose in popularity.
A multi-platinum selling artist, Cyrus has scored a total of eight top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His most successful album to date is his debut Some Gave All, which has been certified 9×multi-platinum in the United States and is the longest time spent by a debut artist at number one on the Billboard 200(17 consecutive weeks) and most consecutive chart-topping weeks in the SoundScan era. It ranked 43 weeks in the top 10, a total topped by only one country album in history, Ropin' the Wind by Garth Brooks. Some Gave All was also the first debut album to enter at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album has also sold more than 20 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling debut album of all time for a solo male artist. Some Gave All was also the best-selling album of 1992 in the US with 4,832,000 copies. In his career, he has released 36 charted singles, of which 17 charted in the top 40. In 2019, Cyrus earned his first number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 as a featured artist on a remix of Lil Nas X's song "Old Town Road", which spent a record-breaking nineteen consecutive weeks at the top spot (eighteen of them credited to Cyrus). It also spent a record-breaking twenty consecutive weeks (nineteen of them credited to Cyrus) at the top spot on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Billboard Hot Rap Songs. Thanks to the song, Cyrus won his first two Grammy Awards, in the categories Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video.

This album produced four singles for Cyrus on the Hot Country Songs charts: "In the Heart of a Woman", "Somebody New", "Words by Heart" and "Talk Some", which reached number #3, number #9, number #12, and number #63, respectively, on the charts. The first, third and fourth singles, plus two album tracks ("Ain't Your Dog No More" and "When I'm Gone") had accompanying music videos. "Somebody New" was covered in 2008 by Jill King, whose version was released as a single, however, it did not chart.
I was goin' through the closet
Back in my old home
Found my letterman's jacket, so I slipped it on
Deep in the pocket, still folded up tight
Was the letter you wrote to tell me goodbye
The minute I saw it I just had to smile
It smelled like old leather, as smooth as a child
I took a deep breath, then put it away
There was no need to read, I knew just what it would say

I know the words by heart, I know every line
From "this ain't easy" to "you'll get along just fine"
I know every comma, every question mark
No, I don't have to look, I know the words by heart

Scenes like home movies flash through my head
The homecoming game, that night on my bed
The words that you wrote still cut me in two
How you said you still cared but that we were through

I know the words by heart, I know every line
From "this ain't easy" to "you'll get along just fine"
I know every comma, every question mark
No, I don't have to look, I know the words by heart

Ain't it funny how a memory
Can play tricks on your mind
I don't remember a thing from my classes
But I can quote you every line

I took off my jacket and put it away
With your note in the pocket
Like I found it that day
Poured me a beer, then pictured your face
And drank a silent toast to things that time can't erase

I know the words by heart, I know every line
From "this ain't easy" to "you'll get along just fine"
I know every comma, every question mark
No, I don't have to look, I know the words by heart

I know the words by heart, I know every line
From "this ain't easy" to "you'll get along just fine"
I know every comma, every question mark
No, I don't have to look, I know the words by heart.

Don't have to leave this town to see the world
'Cause it's something that I gotta do
I don't wanna look back in 30 years
And wonder who you're married to

Wanna say it now, wanna make it clear
For only you and God to hear
When you love someone, they say you set 'em free
But that ain't gonna work for me

I don't wanna live without you
I don't wanna even breathe
I don't wanna dream about you
Wanna wake up with you next to me
I don't wanna go down any other road now
I don't wanna love nobody but you
Looking in your eyes now, if I had to die now
I don't wanna love nobody but you (You)

All the wasted days, all the wasted nights
I blame it all on being young
Got no regrets, 'cause they got me here
But I don't wanna waste another one

I been thinkin' about what I want in my life
It begins and ends the same
If I had to choose what I couldn't lose
There'd only be one thing

I don't wanna live without you
I don't wanna even breathe
I don't wanna dream about you
Wanna wake up with you next to me
I don't wanna go down any other road now
I don't wanna love nobody but you
Looking in your eyes now, if I had to die now
I don't wanna love nobody but you (You)
I don't wanna love nobody but you (You)

I wanna say it now, wanna make it clear
For only you and God to hear

I don't wanna live without you (I don't wanna live)
I don't wanna even breathe
I don't wanna dream about you
Wanna wake up with you next to me (Next to me)
I don't wanna go down any other road now
I don't wanna love nobody but you (I don't wanna love nobody)
Lookin' in your eyes now, if I had to die now
I don't wanna love nobody but you (You)

I don't wanna love nobody (You)
I don't wanna love nobody but you.

A vivre à tes côtés
Et pour te retenir
Moi, j'ai trahi cent fois
Mon cur, côté désirs

Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais lorsque tu me reviens
J'oublie dans tes bras
Que tu es mon premier chagrin
Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais quand je vois ton sourire
Je n'arrive pas à te chasser
A te maudire

La nuit, lorsque mes mains
Espéraient auprès de toi
Trouver un peu de tendresse
Un geste pour me dire
Que tu tenais à moi
Tu te tournais pour dormir

Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais lorsque tu me reviens
J'oublie dans tes bras
Que tu es mon premier chagrin
Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais quand je vois ton sourire
Je n'arrive pas à te chasser
A te maudire

J'en ai passé des nuits
A marcher seul, le long des rues
Sans savoir où aller
Sans autre compagnie
Que tes cris de bonheur
Partagés avec lui

Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais lorsque tu me reviens
J'oublie dans tes bras
Que tu es mon premier chagrin
Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais quand je vois ton sourire
Je n'arrive pas à te chasser
A te maudire

Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais lorsque tu me reviens
J'oublie dans tes bras
Que tu es mon premier chagrin
Mal, tu me fais mal
Mais quand je vois ton sourire
Je n'arrive pas à te chasser
A te maudire.
