GIRL IN THE MOON

PATRICK NUO
SONGWRITERS: David Jost & Michael Van Der Klugt
COUNTRY: SWITZERLAND
ALBUM: SUPERGLUE
LABEL: WARNER MUSIC
GENRE: POP
YEAR: 2005

         Patrick Nuo(born 31 August 1982) is a Swiss singer.
Nuo was born and raised in Lucerne, Switzerland. His mother is Swiss and his father is an ethnic Albanian from Kosovo. He has a younger brother, Simon. In the meantime he also worked as a model for charity projects.
In 2002, Patrick met producer and songwriter David Jost, who helped Nuo sign a contract with Warner Music. In the following months, the duo created a whole album together, which was eventually released under the name Welcome in September 2003. A top 20 chart success in Switzerland and Germany, it spawned three singles; including debut single "5 Days" and follow-up "Reanimate", which reached number 18 on the Swiss Singles Chart.
That same year, Nuo joined Zeichen der Zeit, a Christian music project whose first single "Du bist nicht allein" became a top ten success in Germany. A second single released from the project's self-titled compilation album, "Ein weiterer Morgen", entered the top 40 of the German Singles Chart the following year. Also in 2004, a reissue of Welcome was released. It spawned the single "Undone", which served as the theme song for American comedy film Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed(2004) in German-speaking Europe.
In May 2005, Nuo's second álbum Superglue was released. While not as commercially successful as Welcome in Germany, it would eventually become his highest-charting to date, reaching number four on the GIRL IN Swiss Albums Chart. Two singles were released from Superglue: "Girl in the Moon" and "Beautiful", the latter of which became his first and only top ten hit to date. The song peaked at number nine and number seven in Switzerland and Austria respectively. In 2006, Nuo reteamed with Zeichen der Zeit to produce their second album Generation David(2006), and participated in another non-profit aid project when he provided vocals for the Fury in the Slaughterhouse cover, charity single "Won't Forget These Days", released during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
In 2007, after a label change to Ariola Records, Nuo's third album Nuo was released. It widely failed to match the success of his previous studio albums and produced three singles of which lead single "Watchin' Over You" became the only single to chart. In September 2009, the single "Come On Now" was released on Flash Records.
Somethin'beautiful touched my soul
Somethin'from the outside took control
And I can't wait till the end of the day
When she comes over to take me away
She makes me fly
It's in her eyes

Chorus:
She's my girl in the moon
An Angel put a smile upon her face
She's my girl in the moon
In the dawn she's gone without a trace
Ain't nobody else's girl
No one can tear us apart
How I wish I'd carry her
Forever in my heart
On my own I watch the stars tonight
I'm longin for her until it hurts inside
I hope she comes at the end of the day
When she unfolds me
To take me away
She makes me cry
It's in her eyes

Chorus:
She's my girl in the moon
An Angel put a smile upon her face
She's my girl in the moon
In the dawn she's gone without a trace
Ain't nobody else's girl
No one can tear us apart
How I wish I'd carry her
Forever in my heart

Chorus:
She's my girl in the moon
An Angel put a smile upon her face
She's my girl in the moon
In the dawn she's gone without a trace
Ain't nobody else's girl
No one can tear us apart
How I wish I'd carry her
Forever in my heart.

I got the good side of things
Left you with both of the rings
My fingers danced
And swayed in the breeze
The change in the wind took you down to your knees

I got the good side of you
Sent it out into the blue
The people danced
To the sound of your heart
The world sang along to it falling apart

But I sympathise
And I recognize
And baby, I apologise
That I got the good side
The good side of things

I got the good side of life
Travelled the universe twice
So many thoughts I wanted to share
But I didn't call because it wouldn't be fair

Then I got the good side of new
Found arms to fall right into
I know how it looked
It wasn't the plan
And someday I hope that you'll understand

I sympathise
And I recognize
And baby, I apologise
That I got the good side
The good side of things

I'm sure we'll meet in the spring
And catch up on everything
I'll say I'm proud of all that you've done
You taught me the ropes, and you taught me to love

But I sympathise
And I recognize
And baby, I apologise
That I got the good side
The good side of things

Sympathise
Recognise
Apologise
That I got the good side
The good side of things.

Come on, babe
Why don't we paint the town?
And all that jazz
I'm gonna rouge my knees
And roll my stockings down
And all that jazz

Start the car
I know a whoopee spot
Where the gin is cold
But the piano's hot
It's just a noisy hall
Where there's a nightly brawl
And all that jazz

Slick your hair
And wear your buckled shoes
And all that jazz
I hear that Father Dip
Is gonna blow the blues
And all that jazz

Hold on, hon'
We're gonna bunny hug
I bought some aspirin
Down at United Drug
In case you shake apart
And want a brand new start
To do that jazz (skeedo)

And all that jazz, watch out, whoopee
And all that jazz
It's just a noisy hall
Where there's a nightly brawl
And all that jazz

Listen, uh, your husband ain't home
Is he?
No, her husband is not at home
Find a flask
We're playing fast and loose
And all that jazz

Right up here
Is where I store the juice
And all that jazz
Come on, babe
We're gonna brush the sky
I betcha Lucky Lindy
Never flew so high

'Cause in the stratosphere
How could she lend an ear
To all that jazz?
Oh, you're gonna see your
Sheba shimmy shake
And all that jazz

Oh, she's gonna shimmy
'Til her garters break
And all that jazz

Show her where to park her girdle
Oh, her mother's blood'll curdle
(If she'd hear her baby's queer)
For all that jazz
And all that jazz

Come on, babe
Why don't we paint the town?
And all that jazz
(And all that jazz)
I'm gonna rouge my knees
And roll my stockings down
And all that jazz
(And all that jazz)

Start the car
I know a whoopee spot
Where the gin is cold
But the piano's hot
It's just a noisy hall
Where there's a nightly brawl
And all that

So that's final huh Fred?
Yeah, I'm afraid so Roxy
Oh Fred (oh Fred)
Yeah?
Nobody walks out on me
Sweetheart!
Oh don't sweetheart me, you son of a bitch
Roxy!

I gotta pee
No, I'm no one's wife
But, oh, I love my life
And all that jazz
That jazz.

THINK BEFORE I TALK

ASTRID S
SONGWRITER: ANDREW CEDAR; MADISON LOVE; SCOTT HARRIS & THOMAS ERIKSEN
COUNTRY: NORWAY
ALBUM: THINK BEFORE I TALK
LABEL: UNIVERSAL RECORDS
GENRE: POP
YEAR: 2017

Astrid Smeplass(born 29 October 1996) is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. In 2013, she placed fifth in the Norwegian version of Pop Idol, entitled Idol – Jakten på en superstjerne. In 2020, she released her debut studio album, Leave It Beautiful, through Universal.
"Think Before I Talk" is a song by Norwegian singer Astrid S, released on 25 August 2017 through Island Records and Universal Music. It was written by Andrew Cedar, Madison Love and Scott Harris. It reached number one in Norway, as well as the top 10 in Denmark and the top 20 in Sweden. The song was later included on the complete edition of her debut studio álbum Leave It Beautiful.
Astrid S explained that the song is about "saying things you don't mean because you are hurt, frustrated or maybe angry" and the "ensuing regret".
I said I hate you, I was angry
I got so mad, I slammed your door
You know I really love you, baby
I didn't mean to start a war

And I know there's a line, but I crossed it
And I pray that it won't leave a scar
I said I hate you, but I'm sorry
Sometimes I wish you'd cut me off

Maybe I should think before I talk
I get emotional and words come out all wrong
Sometimes I'm more honest than I want
So maybe I should think before, maybe next time I'll think before I talk

I try my best to make it better (better)
I'm all out of apologies (apologies)
You know I'm not good under pressure (pressure)
Guess hurting you is hurting me

I took all that we built and I broke it
And I pray it won't tear us apart
So let me piece it back together
I know I cut you pretty deep (know I cut you pretty deep)

Maybe I should think before I talk
I get emotional and words come out all wrong
Sometimes I'm more honest than I want
So maybe I should think before, maybe next time I'll think before
I know that I should think before I speak
'Cause I'm saying things that I don't even mean
Maybe I'm more honest than I wanna be
So maybe I should think before, maybe next time I'll think before I

Say something I might regret
And I might get too far under your skin
I can't lie, I wish we could try it again
Oh I, I wish we could try it again

Maybe I should think before I talk
I get emotional and words come out all wrong
Sometimes I'm more honest than I want
So maybe I should think before, maybe next time I'll think before
I know that I should think before I speak
'Cause I'm saying things that I don't even mean
Maybe I'm more honest than I wanna be
So maybe I should think before, maybe next time I'll think before I talk

Oh, oh, oh, oh
So maybe I should think before, maybe next time I'll think before I talk.
