Barnard was born Shane Corey Barnard on January 14, 1976, in Placerville, California, to father James David Barnard and mother Margaret Ann Barnard (née, Gardner), and later grew up in Lubbock, Texas, where he attended Texas Tech University and later Texas A&M University. It was there that he led worship at the popular Christian student gathering Breakaway, and where he met Everett. Barnard is also known for his unique style of strumming the acoustic guitar and his high vocal range.
During his junior year as a student at Texas A&M University, Barnard began a recording career. Prior to joining Everett, Barnard teamed up with friend Caleb Carruth to release an album. Entitled Salvation Still Remains, it was released in limited numbers. Barnard and Carruth later agreed to end their partnership amicably, stating that they "were just moving in different directions."
Barnard is married to fellow CCM artist Bethany Dillon.
Shane & Shane is a Texas-based contemporary worship music band known for acoustic praise and worship music. The band consists of Shane Barnard (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Shane Everett (vocals). They are often joined by their drummer and manager, Joey Parish.
Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let The Healer set me free

I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing
Of when Your love came down

Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let The Healer set me free

I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing
Of when Your love came down

I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever

Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let The Healer set me free

I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing
Of when Your love came down

I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever

Oh, I feel like dancing
It's foolishness, I know
But when the world has seen the light
They will dance with joy
Like we're dancing now
We will sing

I will sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love

I could sing (oh, I could sing)
Oh, I could sing (oh, I could sing)
Oh, I could sing of your love forever
Oh, I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever.
I could sing
I could sing.

I feel nervous in a way that can't be named
I dreamt last night of a sign that read, "The end of love"
And I remember thinking even in my dreaming
It was a good line for a song

We were a family pulled from a flood
You tore the floorboards up
And let the river rush in
Not wash away, wash away

We were reaching in the dark
That summer in New York
And it was so far to fall
But it didn't hurt at all
You let it wash away, wash away

And in a moment of joy and fury I threw myself
From the balcony like my grandmother some years before me
I've always been in love with you
Could you tell it from the moment that I met you?

And we were a family pulled from a flood
You tore the floorboards up
And let the river rush in
Not wash away, wash away

We were reaching in the dark (wash away)
That summer in New York (wash away)
And was it so far to fall (wash away)
Said it didn't hurt at all
I let it wash away, wash away

And Joshua came down from the mountain
With a tablet in his hands
Told me that he loved me, yeah
And then ghosted me again

We were reaching in the dark
That summer in New York
And it was so far to fall
But it didn't hurt at all
I let it wash away, wash away

Reaching in the dark (wash away)
That summer in New York (wash away)
And was it so far to fall? (wash away)
But it didn't hurt at all
I let it wash away, wash away.

KOOL & KLEAN(KONSTANTIN KLASHTORNI)
SONGWRITER: KONSTANTIN KLASHTORNI
COUNTRY: GERMANY/UKRAIN
ALBUM:VOLUME VIII (*THE SMOOTHJAZZ LOFT*)
LABEL: KVK MUSIC
GENRE: JAZZ
YEAR: 2019

A crossover jazz and electronica project, Kool & Klean is the studio creation of Ukrainian-born/Germany-based saxophonist Konstantin Klashtorni. Since he debuted the project in 2010, Klashtorni has issued a steady stream of Kool & Klean albums including 2011's Volume II, 2014's Volume V, and 2017's Volume VII.
Born in 1971 in Korosten in northern Ukraine, Klashtorni grew up with three older siblings, the son of an engineer father and music teacher mother. At age nine, his mother enrolled him in the local music school, where he started on clarinet. By his early teens, he had switched to saxophone and eventually enrolled at the R. Glier Kiev Institute of Music. It was there that he first discovered jazz. After graduating, he traveled Venezuela, where he developed a love for Latin traditions, playing with performers like Soledad Bravo, Andres Briceno, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and more. Returning to Europe, he furthered his studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory and eventually earned his Masters of Music Arts from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. From there he moved to Germany, where -- influenced by artists like David Sanborn, Gerald Albright, and Kenny Garrett-- he made his solo debut with 2003's Downtown. The similarly inclined crossover álbum Led by You followed in 2006.
After building his home studio, Klashtorni began looking for ways to diversify his recorded output and create more avenues by which to explore different sounds. He launched his own YouTube channel, Smooth Jazz Loft, and realized the potential for issuing albums under different names. In 2010, he released his first album under the Kool & Klean moniker, Volume I, drawing upon the influence of artists like Paul Hardcastle, Brian Culbertson, Dave Koz, and others. More well-received volumes followed including 2012's Volume III, 2014's Volume V, and 2017's Volume VII. Along with Kool & Klean, Klashtorni has issued albums under his own name in the Smooth Jazz series, and under the Groove Jazz N Chill title series. In 2019, he returned to the Kool & Klean series with Volume VIII.

I come alive inside the light of the unexpected
Maybe I thrive outside the comfort zone
What is a prize without a fight? Yeah, I got addicted
To what I thought I wanted, and all along...

I've been walking asleep, dreaming awake
Finding I bend but I don't break
I'm almost a sinner, nearly a saint
Finding with every breath I take
I'm not afraid of making mistakes
Sometimes it's wrong before it's right
That's what you call a perfect life

Gathering thorns from the stems of a thousand roses
Weathering storms on the long way home
I look for the sweet in every bitter moment tasted
In every last mistake I see the other side

I've been walking asleep, dreaming awake
Finding I bend but I don't break
I'm almost a sinner, nearly a saint
Finding with every breath I take
I'm not afraid of making mistakes
Sometimes it's wrong before it's right
That's what you call a perfect
And that's what you call a perfect
And that's what you call a perfect life

I've been walking asleep, dreaming awake
Finding I bend but I don't break
I'm almost a sinner, nearly a saint
Finding with every breath I take
I'm not afraid of making mistakes
Sometimes it's wrong before it's right
And that's what you call a perfect
That's what you call a perfect
That's what you call a perfect life.
