Ri, podes rir, não
faz mal
Todo o amor, afinal
Deixa um peito
sangrando
Um coração chorando
Alguém se lamentando
Ri, Ai! quanta gente infeliz
A sorrir, ninguém diz
Leva a vida cantando
A própria dor negando
O seu amor calando
No picadeiro, ao léu
Palhaços sem papel
Somos todos nós
falseando a voz
E a plateia chora
rindo
Somos todos nós
falseando a voz
E a plateia chora
rindo.

The Highwaymen were an American country musicsupergroup,
composed of four of country music's biggest artists who pioneered the outlaw countrysubgenre: Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson.
Between 1985 and 1995, the group recorded three major label albums as The
Highwaymen: two on Columbia Recordsand one for Liberty Records.
Their Columbia works
produced three chart singles, including the number one "Highwayman"
in 1985.
Between 1996 and 1999, Nelson, Kristofferson,
Cash, and Jennings provided the voice and dramatization for the Louis L'Amour
Collection, a four-CD box set of seven Louis L'Amourstories published by the HighBridge Company, although the four were
not credited as "The Highwaymen" in this work.
Besides the four formal members of the group,
one other vocal artist appeared on a Highwaymen recording: Johnny Rodriguez, who
provided Spanish vocal on "Deportee",
a Woody Guthriecomposition, from the album Highwayman.
The
four starred in one movie together: the 1986 film Stagecoach.
In 1990, the original members of the
1950s-'60s folk group of the same name sued
The Highwaymen over their use of the name, which was inspired by a Jimmy Webbballad
the country stars had recorded. The suit was dropped when all parties agreed that the
folk group owned the name but that the earlier group would grant a
nonexclusive, nontransferable license to the supergroup to use the name. The
two groups then shared the stage at a 1990 concert in Hollywood.
Well, an old cowboy
went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw
Plowing through the ragged sky
And up the cloudy draw
Their brands were
still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
He saw the riders coming hard
And he heard their mournful cry
Yippie-yi-ay
(yippie-yi-ay)
Yippie-yi-yay (yippie-yi-yay)
Ghost riders in the sky
Their faces gaunt,
their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd, but he ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on hear their cry
As the riders passed
on by him he heard one call his name (Merle Haggard)
If you want to save your soul from hell a-riding on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the devil's herd
Across these endless skies
Yippie-yi-ay
(yippie-yi-ay)
Yippie-yi-yay (yippie-yi-yay)
You lost a "yippie" there
Ghost riders in the sky
Ghost riders in the sky.

coprotagonizar El capitán Veneno nuevamente junto a Fernando F. Gómez, decidió
A principios
conocido como The Last Torch Song).

Me dijo y juró.
Llegarme juró en su querer
Mas allá del dolor y el placer.
Y loca la hermosa
Promesa del hombre
Yo fuí una mujer.
Nena...
Me decia loco de pasión.
Nena...
Que mi vida llenas de ilusión.
Deja que ponga
Con embeleso
Junto a tus labios
La llama divina
De un beso.
Un día en sus ojos la
fiebre brillaba
Vive vive
Exclame para mi
Y él que se moría
Aún sonreía
Diciendome así...
Nena...
Me decia loco de pasión.
Nena...
Que mi vida llenas de ilusión.
Deja que ponga
Con embeleso
Junto a tus labios
La llama divina
De un beso.
De un beso.

Whitney Elizabeth Houston(August 9, 1963 –
February 11, 2012) was an American singer and actress. Nicknamed "The
Voice", she is one of the
best-selling music artists of all time, with
sales of over 200 million records worldwide. Houston has influenced many
singers in popular music, and is
known for her powerful, soulful vocals and vocal improvisation skills. She is
the only artist to have had seven consecutive number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, from
"Saving All My
Love for You" in 1985 to "Where Do
Broken Hearts Go" in 1988. Houston enhanced her popularity
upon entering the movie industry. Her recordingsand filmshave generated both great success and controversy. She has received numerous accoladesthroughout her career and posthumously, including two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 16 Billboard Music
Awards, and 28 Guinness
World Records, as well as induction into
the Grammy,
Rhythm and
Blues Music, and Rock and Rollhalls of fame.
Houston
began singing in church as a child and became a background vocalist while in
high school. She was one of the first black women to appear on the
cover of Seventeenafter becoming a teen model in 1981. With the guidance of Arista Recordschairman Clive Davis,
Houston signed to the label at age 19. Her first two studio albums, Whitney
Houston(1985) and Whitney(1987),
both peaked at number one on the Billboard 200and are among the best-selling
albums of all time. Houston's third studio album, I'm Your Baby
Tonight(1990), yielded two Billboard Hot 100
number-one singles: "I'm Your Baby
Tonight" and "All the Man
That I Need".
I'm Your Baby Tonight is the third studio albumof
American singer Whitney Houstonreleased on November 6, 1990, by Arista Records. The
album has been certified quadruple platinum in the US by the RIAA
By 1989, Whitney Houston had become one of
the most successful musicians in the industry, with her last two albums -Whitney
Houstonand Whitney- having sold a
combined 30 million copies at the time. Houston's crossover blend of pop and
R&B had helped her to break barriers on pop radio and on MTV, which along with the
commercial breakthrough of Michael Jackson,
led to the music industry enjoying "the best time for crossover artists
since the height of disco in the mid-to-late '70s", according to
journalist Frank Rizzo in 1987. Despite this, however, some black critics began
to voice their disapproval of Houston's music, especially with her sophomore
release, Whitney, which included the number-one hits, the dance pop hit "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)"
and, in particular, the rock song, "So Emotional",
accusing the singer of "selling out".
They also felt that her records lacked the soul of her live performances of the
same songs. While attending the 1989 Soul
Train Music Awards, Houston's name was jeered by
some in the audience after she was announced as a nominee in a category. Houston
defended herself against the criticism telling Essencemagazine in 1990, "If you're gonna have a long career, there's
a certain way to do it and I did it that way. I'm not ashamed of it."
Still, both Houston and her label head Clive Davisagreed
to go into a more urban direction as popular music was starting to embrace a
new urban pop sound called new jack swing.
As the material on
her previous albums had been picked by the label, Houston wanted more creative
control over the album's content. As a result, Houston would serve as an
executive producer for the first time on an album. She
recruited the new jack swing production team of L.A. Reidand Babyface,
citing their work on Bobby Brown's Don't Be
Cruel, to help her with her new direction. The duo would present the songs
"I'm Your Baby Tonight", "My Name Is Not Susan", their sole
ballad "Miracle" and
"Anymore". Houston also recruited longtime
idol Stevie Wonderon the album with the two collaborating on the Wonder-composed duet,
"We Didn't Know", while longtime friend, singer Luther Vandross, penned
the new jack swing-leading "Who Do You Love".
